An awesome and different bar to check out in downtown Asheville. They have live music and a big dance floor. I believe the live music started at 9pm. So amazing!

Oh my i just cant believe how rude and disrespectful the manager tressa is to her staff and customers . The owner tressa works behind the bar and i have seen this woman throw innocent people out of the bar because they were unhappy with a drink that was made wrongly. I was almost in tears when i heard her talk down to her staff and customers.please dont give people like her your money its other bars out there thay will satisfy you and appreciate your service.

I went to Tressas over the weekend for a rehearsal dinner. We had a private party in the upstairs space, which had a lot of character and space for everyone. The staff was very friendly and the bartenders were awesome. They really made everything flow very smoothly and it was a great evening.

Tressa scouted and acted on our friend who was being pursued by a VERY sketchy person. She recognized and acted on easily recognizable but often overlooked pushy tactics by a super creep. She (the owner) ultimately asked him to leave and made sure all of our group were safely in an uber before leaving. One hundred stars for being a classy, protective, and ethical bar owner. Tressas gets one million stars

The music groups they hire are usually good groups but they charge a cover charge and their drinks are NY pricey...coming from NYC I find that you can get a much better deal in downtown Asheville for the money you would have spent here not to mention that one of the owners is NOT people friendly. Shes in the wrong business... buy a laundromat lady...for a good time go someplace else.

I wish I didnt have to give this place any stars. I was waiting outside for my date to show up so we could dance on Mardi Gras and the owner kicked me out because I was waiting on the public sidewalk too long and I hadnt paid the $2 cover charge. Dont let their Soulful Jazz look fool you these are not folks they are some uppity snobs.

The bar staff were friendly and responsive and the band we saw was very good. Not sure how much actual jazz is played but we did catch a horn quartet playing on the street walking home ! Yes there is a cover charge but if you want decent music they gotta be able to pay them something.

I came into this establishment with a friend to hear some music and dance. We paid $3 at the door and came in to enjoy the music. At some point the bartender came up to us and insisted we buy a drink to meet a one drink minimum, which we had no idea they had. It was a total buzzkill and I felt like they were squeezing us for cash.

One of our team members was assaulted this past week by a waitresses boyfriend, who was then helped by the bald headed security guy to get away. The security then lied to the police officers who arrived, telling them that he did not know who the guy was. This used to be a reputable and safe place, but is the lowest of the low in Asheville nowadays.

Good music brought us in, but when the band ended...this place cleared out and we were left sipping our drinks in an empty bar. Some what weird.

Tressa greeted me like the warmest of hostesses, and Lyric played some beautiful neo-soul. Perfect introduction to Asheville and Tressas.

Went to a private event here which our apartment complex paid 1200 dollars for. Was told it was free to party if you were under 21. Then a waitor comes up n says we have to buy a drink or leave Wtf we r 18? Then the rude as heck owner with shot in her hand comes over and tells us that we have to buy a drink. I told her the grove sponsered the event and they said it was free to attend. She then begins to insult me telling me Im not gonna go far in life if I argue with people. Really? Thats how a owner talks to people? Plus excuse me but you own a skeasy jazz bar with mediocre decor and aging atmosphere which isnt gonna go any where once its aging clientele die. Plus we were on the guest list. Someway to talk to your guest who could potentially boost your business. Do yourself a favor dont go here.
