Yes its used, but the quality of the products themselves does the selling. This is not a junk store. I needed a new softball glove, I play in an over 40 league and I just didnt want to pay new or break one in. I found a high quality brand used to just the right amount to save me its break in and still give me a new glove feel, all for way less then half the price of new. Love this place and the staff couldnt have been any more friendly or helpful. Want good quality at a bargain, go here first, period

Charles went above and beyond to save my NordicTrac Elliptical which was partially submerged during a basement flood. I cannot express how grateful and impressed I am for the effort he made to bring it back to life. I just finished my first workout on it since its return and it runs like new!!! Thank you so much.

Recently purchased a very large elliptical machine from play it again sports. Had a very good experience. Brian spent a lot of time with me, explaining all the features of the different machines they had for sale and letting me try them all out. He and Charles answered all my questions. I wanted to buy this from them rather than from a private party because I want to be able to call on them, should it ever need servicing. They delivered the machine to me in about a week because they were busy. Getting this big machine downstairs into my house was a major effort, but they accomplished it. Then Charles made sure that it was working well. Fixed a minor sound that was happening when using it. And even helped bring a piece of furniture downstairs for me. Been using the machine everyday and so far its working fine. Grateful to be getting some exercise again at last.

I have bought several things from Play It Again over the years, most recently a new-to-me elliptical trainer, which I love. These guys are great, trustworthy and provide excellent service. Definitely check them out!

Took my grandkids here to shop for a soccer goal. I expected to find a selection of both new and used items, but they had only 2 choices, both new: one around $120 and another much less.It was our first stop...as my online research yielded mixed reviews on practice goals...down-rating every choice under $350...which was way out of our price range, both for budget and time-used-and-needed.Im still holding out for a larger and more durable soccer goal...something we can set down in our huge front lawn and take a little abuse...and also heavy enough to stay put up here with our 9mph mountaintop winds.That said, Play It Again was overstocked and had lots of clearance items...and the Frisbee disc selection was INSANE.The used items seemed nearly new and were well presented. Colorful bikes lined the front entrace, and parking was easy.The cashier was friendly enough and even apologized for having a limited soccer goal selection, making suggestions for the next best places to try.We bought a frisbee and for my granddaughter, a little widget thingie they offered at the register. PIAS was not huge and impersonal like Dicks, and stocked better quality items than Target and Walmart.Well definitely go again...probably to buy...but maybe at some point to sell.

These guys are the best. They went above and beyond in customer service. They made sure I got the right bench and dumbbells I needed to complete my home gym. I will always come back to these guys for my fitness goals and needs. Go see these guys if you ever need anything, I highly recommend them.

Outstanding experience. The crew gave us a fair price for our used golf and baseball gear and we scored an excellent used bike. Charles offered to tune up the bike due to some apparent brake issues. We got a call the same afternoon and picked up a fully functional sweet bike for my son. Terrific!

Just bought a new Pro Form exercise bike and was very pleased with the whole experience. Charles was very knowledgeable about the product and delivered it as well as put it together. I’d recommend you visit these guys before making any decision on an equipment purchase.

Great place for disc golfers and anyone looking to save money on their sports gear. Fantastic customer service as well. The employees are also extremely humble about losing ping matches got the pleasure of meeting one of their finest by the name of Jason who I got to play ping pong with and crushed him. Just kidding he beat me it was a great match.

Slack mask policy- nothing on the doors did I could see even saying to wear a mask oh, but I could have missed it. However there was like 10 customers in the store and only two had a mask on. The staff is friendly and will leave you alone if you dont need any help but the selection was a little threadbare. Of course he could just be a reflection of the time.

It was a good visit. I went in to see if I could find some discs for Frisbee golf. They had a great selection of putters and drivers. Colors and brands abound.

Wonderful shop, and very helpful employees. Especially Matt who answered all the questions I had about disc golf, he was very knowledgeable helpful and patient.

Not quite sure why I didnt get the great service everyone is talking about! Ive spent hundreds of dollars in this store over the years and was told by someone who acted like he owned the place to bring my bike in and theyll fix it up for me. So...I loaded it in the car and took it there today, well, guess what...not so willing to keep their word! Too busy, backed up they said and itll take a couple of weeks. Even though I said I wasnt in a rush to get it back, still, not going to tune it up for me, they all just looked at me like deer in headlights ~ so I left. It really doesnt need much; it was in the basement where I live and got mold on it, so I just wanted to make sure its ok before I ride it again. Ill pay full price for equipment before I give these guys another dime. I was going to see if they could get me a rack for my car, and look at more equipment...maybe they just dont like mature women?

I am so impressed with the knowledge and courtesy of Doug, Charlie and staff! When my gym closed on Monday, I was desperate for an elliptical. Charlie and Doug spoke with me by phone on 4 occasions and gave me excellent advice before I made the trip to Asheville. While I was in the store, Charlie and crew broke down the machine, gave us instructions on how to put it back together and loaded it in my car. Charlie assured me that he is available to service the machine if I have problems. I was so happy with the product and service that I also bought a new treadmill (that Charlie will deliver for a nominal price). this business exemplifies fabulous customer service and I will return for all my sporting needs.

Play It Again Sports is a great store with great staff and great customer support. This business has been in the exact same spot since the early 1990s and can be relied upon for customer support for anything they sell.Its like one of those old fashioned family run stores that is so reliable & friendly that one just cant imagine buying sports equipment from anyone else.

Bought a used Wilson Impact tennis racket at a great price, while playing with it the performance was awesome and I love the racket, but the grip was turning my hands black from the old rapping on the handle. So I went back to get handle tape and when they asked what I was doing they said they would rap it for free if I brought it back in, so I did just that and they did an amazing job rapping the handle and did it at no charge, I was blown away by the service and how they handled the situation. This place is great! I’ve bought a few little things here over the last couple years, and they often have used items which fit our needs for kids’ sports so I always check here first when we need something. Today I was trying to trade in an older street bicycle and find a mountain bike to buy. The owner didn’t feel he could give me much for the older bike, so he recommended I keep it but gave me a really nice discount on a mountain bike anyway, which he totally didn’t have to do!! So nice!!!

I absolutely love everything about this place the staff is always helpful they always give you the best deals. They are friendly, clean have your best interests at hand not just trying to sell products. I go to them first before I go anywhere else looking for new gym equipment.

I went in to trade some of my stuff to get some exercise equipment. They gave me more than fair price for my stuff toward the equipment. The staff were friendly and made me a good deal. The whole experience was outstanding. I will definitely be going back and telling my friends to shop there first before going to big box stores.

Ive been here several times over the years, and its always been a disappointment. They dont often have what Im hoping to find, or if they do, its not in very good condition, and/or it seems overpriced. Went here the other day hoping to find kettlebells, but there were none. The store was packed with people though, almost too many, so I guess they are doing something right.

Very kind staff and amazing selection of athletic equipment. I have shopped at this location several times and each time was a pleasant experience. The statf even provided athletic equipment at a decent rate for youth in our community. I myself have been involved and played sports for 35 years and appreciate this location for supporting our community! You can’t beat the prices on their equipment!

We have been buying from Play It Again Sports for a few years now. They go out of their way to provide super-friendly service and the prices are great. I highly recommend supporting this local business.

My daughter and I dropped in just to check out the kayaks. They had just gotten one in that wasnt out on the showroom floor yet. We went in the back, they pulled the kayak down so my daughter could try it out. They were so helpful explaining they can accept payments. I went back the next day on Christmas Eve to make a down payment, and they offered me a great deal for Christmas. Instead of putting money down on it that day, I left with it and was able to give it to my daughter for Christmas. I had not planned on taking it home that day, but they made it possible. They even measured the kayak and loaded up in my car for me. These people were really nice and so easy to work with. Definitely will be going back if I need anything else!

First visit to this location. Pretty basic. Its like a pawn shop for sporting items, as a lot of stuff is overpriced and they lowball you on anything you try and trade it. Might visit again if Im out that way...

Went in to the store to get a treadmill for my mom, I had a hard time finding one that I thought would fit her needs. They have such a great variety of new and used products. I was able to ask the staff about the treadmills they carried and they were able to answer every question I threw at them. I cant believe how knowledgeable they are about their products. Another great thing is that the manager was able to give me a great deal! Ill definitely be going back to this store.
