We stayed here for our honeymoon! Service, room, food, view, and grounds are phenomenal. It was peaceful but also somehow lively & interesting in the common spaces. It was very spacious and clean. Somehow they have managed to keep the old charm of the original Inn with more modern conveniences. We plan to revisit every year for our anniversary!

Each time we’ve visited Asheville, our trip has started here. We don’t stay here because it is a bit pricey and a bit of a drive from the core. There is free parking for a few hours. You can walk around and explore the grounds and hotel. They even have a gingerbread house contest, and they display the winners creation. Our favourite thing is to get a cocktail and drink it outside. The views are fabulous. If you go in the fall, the trees are so colourful.Check it out!!

•Atmosphere/ Ambiance: 5/5* This is an excellent get away. I recommend doing the Spa for at least a day. Very scenic and they have plenty of trails in the area.•Cleanliness: 5/5 *Excellent, rustic appearance and they keep everything very tidy.• Service: 5/5* You get your moneys worth, no issues here.• Food: 4/5 * The food was good, I don’t think it was anything spectacular. Just drive down to “CURATÈ” to have some Tapas. •Overall 4.5 / 5

The Omni Grove Park Inn is a historic resort hotel on the western-facing slope of Sunset Mountain within the Blue Ridge Mountains, in Asheville, North Carolina. It is a AAA Four-Diamond Hotel and has been since 2001. ... The Grove Park Inn also provides guests with an 18-hole golf course routed on the hill below the hotel.

This is the most breathtaking place we have ever been! The view is beyond words, especially at sunset! I’m sure the sunrise is just as good. Parking is at a great rate! The first 3 hours are free so if you’re just going for dinner it’s especially nice! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Next time we will make sure that we stay here. You can stare off into the mountains the hours on end. Thank you!

We came to the hotel for an early dinner . We looked around the hotel and the view . It was so beautiful and the view of the mountains were breathtaking . It was like been in a magical castle .The hotel has a cool vibe and younger crowd than the Biltmore inn . We decided to come back in the morning for a breakfast brunch . It is a must do not miss a visit to the Grove .

Stayed at the Grove Park Inn after spending a night at the Biltmore Inn to celebrate getting engaged with my fiancée. The service experienced between the two was not comparable. We first went to the sunset terrace to grab a drink and enjoy the views. That experience was overshadowed by the horrible service. It took 45 minutes for a server to acknowledge us -- even though she was constantly servicing the two tables next to us. We ate at the Vue and the quality of food and service was not comparable to the Dining Room at the Biltmore Inn. Really wish I had booked two nights at the Biltmore Inn instead of wasting time and money to check out the Omni.

This hotel is awesome and historic. Anyone who is anyone has stayed there. With that said, the changes through the years have not been excellent. Prices have naturally gone up, but they want to nickel-and-dime you starting at the parking lot. Theres only about 10 non-paid, non-valet parking spaces in the entire Hotel. And the restaurants no longer validate. So if you want to check out the facilities, be ready to spend money.

Valet parking guy left candy a wrappers in my car when I came to get it. Also had a lot questions about how does my Alexa work in the car...he assumed its paired to my phone (most likely cause it didnt work without my hotspot). Leaves me to think he was joyriding or at least just hanging out in it. Hotel and grounds were nice, thought of some tool playing around in my car not so nice.

My arrival can be described as nothing short of chaotic. There were not enough valet/greeting staff available and I got all of my items out of my car and waited five minutes to even be acknowledged. I finally flagged down someone clearly in the middle of something else and was treated as such an interruption. I was finally directed inside to check in but instructed to leave my keys so they could deal with my car. It was 430 in the afternoon, well past check in time and I was told there was not a room ready. After five minutes of them struggling with the computer system they finally did find me a room. I went back to get my car that had been moved well out of the way. Got my own luggage and found my own way to my room since no one showed any interest in assisting me. Third day into the conference and we want to have lunch on the nearly empty terrace. We were asked if we had a reservation and then stood there awkwardly for 5 minutes while they tried to find us a table in the nearly empty restaurant. Final night of the conference and I am completely ignored by the wait staff in the lobby bar during last call. One of our hosts tried to flag down what turned out to be one of the rudest service industry worker I have ever encountered. He came up to us and said sarcastically that he loved being yelled out, when our friend had only said hey Michael. When I told him he was being rude he replied by saying we were rude. I told him I didn’t think this was the Grove Park way and he replied with whatever and walked off. I did get a manager involved, whom comp me a glass of wine but that did not repair the fact that I was made to feel completely insignificant by Michael at the bar. This place is too expensive to treat guests this way. I will never stay here again and certainly would never recommended it to anyone.

This was my fourth time at The Grove Park Inn and the first time I was unable to give it five stars! Things started well with our getting a room upgrade, probably because of all the times we have stayed here as well as at other Omni Hotels. The room was nice with a great bathroom with a big shower and very good lighting and the room had a great view of the golf course, and farther off in the distance downtown Asheville and the mountains. Even so , we thought it lacked the charm of the rooms in the 100+ year old main hotel. It did however have a very long walk to the elevators and then from there to the room. Overall, no complaints here except for one thing that Ill get to later but I wouldnt have taken the upgrade if I had to pay for it and actually still prefer the old hotel even if it isnt as modern. There were two issues during our stay. The first was our room not getting cleaned at all our second last day. We had been at the pool most of the day and returned to the room at 3:30 pm to rest a little and get showered for dinner only to find the room not done. The maid finally showed up at 4:30 pm which was way too late for us be leave for her to clean it and still have time to get ready for dinner. We did however get clean towels and an apology from the head of housekeeping who said he would make a notation that we had a preference for early make up and it would not happen again. The second complaint I had was with the pool itself or rather the way it was run. The hotel has a beautiful Olympic sized pool that we have used quite a few times in the past with no issues but this time was different. We found that there were at least 20 children who were completely unsupervised running around and jumping into the 10 foot deep end of the pool. It was nearly impossible to swim without having one of them literally jump on you. There were also dragging floats as well as towels into the pool witch according to the posted signs at the pool is not permitted. There were lifeguards on duty at the pool but never once did I hear them say anything to the children. With a pool that size you would think they would limit 5-6 year olds to a shallower portion of the pool if not accompanied by their parents. One more thing I have noticed changing at the hotel especially on this stay was that the restaurants have gotten very expensive. And when I say expensive I mean that over $300 is easily reached. I have eaten in all of them in the past and they are very good, especially Vue 1913, but with so many good restaurants in town there is really no compelling reason to eat at the hotel.Overall I would still highly recommend the hotel and will still be returning myself.

Paid $300 for a room Id expect for maybe $80 in Asheville, I use hotels a ton lot and this place really under delivered. The only reason I booked the room was because the pool was supposed to be great but we didnt even get to see the pool without paying another $110. Ive been to over 100 hotels and never paid for access to the pool as a guest, seriously what?! And they charged another $15 to park outside, there is no free parking. This is Asheville remember, parking is abundant everywhere. The hill outside overlooking the mountains is nice, just go to get a drink at the bar and sit outside, no reason to stay here at all.

A uniquely beautiful hotel with a large stone lobby area that invites relaxing by one of the huge fire places. A great place for a glass of wine and small plates while listening to live music. You cant help but be transferred back to days gone by when this grand dam was built. It truly is an escape. The service is professional and friendly. The dining is generally very good with the exception of breakfast options. Unless youre up to a hugely indulgent buffet their isnt a place to just order ala cartee items like scrambled eggs etc. Be prepared to compete with locals for lobby chairs, restaurant reservations, spa appointments etc. as they draw heavily from the local population. There isnt any preference or advantage for guests who stay at the resort. Although staying in the main Inn will give you more of an authentic experience, the rooms are more like dorm rooms, think small, and the matress in my room was a bit worn and uncomfortable.
