Super fun outing with the family. The game was fun and my kids really enjoyed. Prices are ridiculous for food and drink, which I knew and expected but $3 for a bottle of water is a little crazy. On a 90 degree day they need to offer large cups of water it just makes no sense. Any way. We went on the free Jersey give away day so that was cool!

The experience at McCormick field is fantastic compared to other minor league teams in the south east. My family enjoys going here to watch the team play. Most seats in the stadium are good but the Bojangles seats are definitely the best value (picture included). One thing which really stands out to me about the stadium is the concession options. It always seems as though minor league teams are rather limited compared to major league stadiums when it comes to what they can offer but the options at McCormick outshine many major league stadiums as well.

The minor league baseball team located in Asheville is the Tourists. They play in an older stadium which has lots of historical significance and has also been featured on film! Ticket prices are less than the cost of going to the movies, and you’ll have a much better time!

Having been to many minor league parks, I’ve seen many ways to do the fan experience. The Tourists do what they do very well, and they obviously know their community. This was my first game at venerable McCormick Field. Cut into a hillside, the park is a great example of being a part of its neighborhood. The food and beverage options were very well done, especially in ‘beer city’. The fans were there for baseball, and they enjoyed and appreciated the effort on the field. The staff met the needs of the fans well too. McCormick does not have the newest bells and whistles of the newest parks, but its approach to the game for the fans was refreshing and authentic. I highly recommend a game.

On a recent visit to Asheville McCormick Field reminiscing about when my husband ( then boyfriend ) pitched for the Baltimore Orioles Class AA1971-1972 seasons at McCormick Field. His name is Ed Blake, Jr. I was treated like royalty. Both Chris Smith and Doug Maurer took the time to speak with me and my girlfriends about the changes and improvements to McCormick Field. What a fantastic place. So beautiful and I understand this past season was very successful for the Tourists. Good Luck in 2020.Go Tourists !!!!!!

I havent been to McCormick Field since about 1945, when my family and I saw an outdoor circus performance. I have a mental image of a man doing acrobatics atop a metal pole in a picturesque setting. We lived in West Asheville at the time. I need to get back for something or just to take in the place. Im impressed that owners and Asheville have kept the name of the stadium and team intact all those years.

This is the best place in Asheville to go and have family fun at a price that wont break the bank. Even for ballpark food the prices are not bad some things a little more than others so be selective in your choice but everything they offer is good. they are always adding new selections of food and sweet treats at the Ballpark. They have a ton of giveaways every game and premium giveaways select dates throughout the season. Once again support your local baseball team. Go Asheville tourist. Dont forget to sign up free giveaways when you enter the park and be sure to grab a free program to search for giveaways during the game on select pages.

Being a lifetime baseball fan, this is a joy to attend a game here. The charm of the old ballpark is just awesome! Most of the staff is very polite and helpful. There are TONS of concessions, something you NEVER find at a ballpark on this level. Great turn out for games as well. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for a lady working a give away table practically yelling at people to keep the line moving when she thought it wasnt moving fast enough. Everyone else at the table was perfectly charming. Too bad she had to ruin that one little experience. Plus we were in the 2nd row behind the first base dugout and had a young lady assigned to help us with ordering food/drinks. They had her stretched across multiple sections leaving most people to just walk to the concessions areas, rather than waiting multiple innings. Otherwise, it was a great trip to the ballpark!

I have loved going to Tourists games for a few years now, but after volunteering in the concessions stand recently I realized how much waste there is. In the middle of a very environmental city, I am very, very disappointed by the use of styrofoam, plastic straws, single use plastic utensils and plastic cups WITHOUT proposer recycling facilities! Currently refusing to attend games (and encouraging others to do so) until more sustainable practices are adopted. Come on, Tourists, get with the rest of Asheville, you can do it!

One of the best Minor League Stadiums in the Sally League. Cool at night, comfortable seats. Great selection of food and liquid refreshments. Team management is big into hometown philanthropy. Do a great job with space given the tight downtown location. A multi-deck parking garage built over the current parking lot would be a windfall for the city, as it would generate income year-round during the off-season in an area of town where parking is virtually non-existent.

Jersey nights, Thirsty Thursday (beer) night, and other giveaways make the kids happy and entertained.Went to the 4th of July game and the fireworks display went nearly non-stop for 20-25 minutes, and rivaled many shows Ive seen around the world. I just went to my first Tourists game and was very disappointed in the amount of waste that is being produced. I did not see any recycle bins or compost bins which is something I’ve started to expect living in Asheville. Styrofoam seriously? Whether or not you believe in climate change, you can’t deny that styrofoam and plastics are polluting our environment. I didn’t purchase anything and only drank water from the bottle that I brought. I hope the stadium can change their ways so that I can come back one day.
