I have mixed feelings about this place. I stayed in a cabin pretty soon after the opened at the beginning of the pandemic. There were several things that made me question the cleanliness of the cabin/trailer like bugs in the bed and poorly made sheets.I understand that its outdoors but if the cabin had just been cleaned-- they could have dusted the bugs off the bed.One of the notes that youll receive tells you to clean up after yourself. It was pretty concerning to think that the dishes and stuff were clean by honor code and not staff inspected. There also wasnt any hand santizerThey tell you that you have to pay for certain things like Smores and Swedish Fish but it is not as clear upfront that you have to pay for wood and fire starters. Thats pretty silly when its advertised as part of the experience.I had a hard time getting the humidity down within the cabin. It was so hot overnight that all of the bottles with liquid had condensation. This meant that the room temperature water was cooler than the air in the room.Is it better than camping in a tent -- yes. Is it perfect? No.

We had an amazing time! Cute and quaint! We were comfortable and cozy amongst nature. The communication with the owners was outstanding! They are very responsive and easy to communicate with via text. Highly recommend booking a stay at Getaway Asheboro.

The absolute perfect getaway from Raleigh for some uninterrupted quiet time with my wife. So close to our real life but felt like a world away. The cabins are very intimate but perfect if your goal is quality time with the person you are with. The staff were extremely friendly and super accommodating, and went above and beyond when I made a mistake with our reservation.

Will definitely be back!!! My two boys absolutely loved it and asked if we could live there forever! Everything you needed was provided the only thing you needed was to get your own food and drinks. We drove to aldi which was 5 minutes away. I love the fact that everything was no contact and you can just send a text if you need anything. Very nice property and extremely clean! Highly recommended!!The pisgah covered bridge was a nice little rocky creek about 5 minutes away definitely recommended checking that out while youre here! We will definitely be back in the winter!!!

We had the Perfecto Cabin, where the big window overlooked the big pond so we had great views the whole time. The cabin itself is small, but perfect for a couple. It has the essentials for toiletries, shower (although the shower is a tad small and hot water runs out quick in the shower), cooking, washing, and even a fire pit outside with firewood and kindling. They also provide a small smores kit, which was a nice touch. The town of Asheboro also has a lot of quaint restaurants and shops with lovely, friendly owners. Fully recommend for a nature and camping vibes getaway trip - but in style.

I wanted to share my familys experience, because we honestly had a miserable time at Getaway. This is a fair warning: Getaway is NOT family-friendly, and is NOT group-friendly. This review may actually appeal to some guests who are not traveling with children, but since this location is near the zoo and is advertised as family-friendly, it is important to note that Getaway also does not advertise their policies honestly. We were part of a group of 3 families who camp together fairly often and we booked 3 cabins at Getaway. When we arrived, there was a pamphlet that stated All hours are quiet hours...If you brought kids along, please make sure theyre quiet and respectful of other guests. We had all looked carefully at the website before arrival and this policy was news to us. And, you read that correctly--if you *happen* to have brought kids along (whoops!) you have to make sure they are quiet. Outside. In nature. Twenty-four hours a day. Within an hour of our arrival, all 3 parties in our group received a text that we were violating the quiet hours. It was 5:40 pm. From then on, it was a very uncomfortable stay. The cabins are not spread far enough apart to ensure complete silence and anonymity from neighbors, and we were walking on eggshells to make sure no one heard a peep from our kids. We abandoned plans for shared meals and experiences around the campfire, and spent the bulk our time either hiding in our cabins or hiking--far, far away from Getaway. While the website mentions that this is not a place for wild and rowdy gatherings, I never would have thought that a group of 3 families who are in bed by 7:30 would be considered wild and rowdy. Be prepared before you book--Getaway curates a very, very specific aesthetic and children dont seem to be a part of that experience.

5/5 all around! There’s no way to really describe this place without experiencing it yourself. Perfect way to reset and recharge. The cabin has everything you need, and they even left treats for my pup. The staff is extremely friendly and responsive. We will be visiting again.

Perfect for people that want to experience being out in nature but want hotel-style amenities. You are isolated from other guests but you still have the comfort of knowing that there are still people around.
