We picked Asheboro as a central location for our retirement group annual golf outing and this year we looked at the reviews and decided Pinewood would be a good choice. We were very pleased not only with how friendly everyone was but the golf course was beautiful and challenging. Cant wait to get back over in spring when everything is green. We stopped by theclubhouse on the turn and the sandwiches were very good...

Played course October 2019. Fantastic shape.Nice facilities for members and guests. Tough little layout but nothing tricky. They have a driving range, putting green and chipping area and plenty of parking.Easy to find, right off I-73 near Asheboro, NC.Would like to play again.

I joined Pinewood Country Club in early June of 2020. The experience has been great. My main reason for joining is for the golf and there are plenty of groups to join with for a game. The golf course is maintained very well, the pool and other amenities are very good. The grill has great food as does the restaurant. The service is thoughtful and friendly. My wife and I frequent the restaurant on Friday evenings and have had nothing short of excellent food and service. The membership is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend joining this Country Club, or just visiting for a good time.

This place is absolutely tip-top. Very well maintained, the greens are pure, the cart paths are smooth, the rough is fair but can cause a few problems if you hit into the wrong spot. Overall the only issue seems to be a couple of bunkers could use attention. For $29 on Monday & Tuesday you cant beat it anywhere around. Highly recommend!

Great golf course!!! After 2 rounds as a guest- I decided to join the club even though I live 45 minutes away in Pinehurst. Plenty of golf courses around here- but way too much public play and too much sand everywhere! Pinewood is the opposite of that- the course is consistently kept in fantastic shape- and so far everyone from the staff to fellow members have been friendly and welcoming. Id recommend this club to anyone- I consider it a hidden gem! - JP

This place is lovely, the people are gracious, and the food actually delicious. Staff members efficiently accommodated a small food issue in our group of women, who had arranged the menu beforehand. Delightful experience!

Great track! The course was in great, great shape! The superintendent and the staff take pride in their course. The pro shop, staff, grille and grille staff were all 5 stars. I will return the next Monday I have free. This is a private course open to the public on Mondays.

Good except for wearing a mask

A private course opened to the public Mon and Tues. All aspects of the course are in excellent shape, tee boxes, fairways and greens. Challenging and long. Highly recommend.

Great course, great price

The Country Club itself is lovely the food is presented beautifully the quality is outstanding I have never had a meal there That I wasnt impressed with and I am a regular customer. For any event or gathering that you may be planning I would certainly consider them.

Ive been a member at the club for a short while now. Im extremely pleased. Ive never seen a staff so dedicated to Quality customer service.The golf course is challenging but fair and in excellent condition. The course like the facilities speaks to the fact that the club is on solid Financial ground.They also have a long time chef who knows his stuff. The food is not just good its comprable to the best restaurants in the area.

Just had the Asheboro Randolph Realtors Council pig picking there. They did a great job.

Played on 4/22 and the course was in good shape. Greens were fast but in good shape. Staff and experience was great as always.

Excellent great food good service

The pace was too slow today. We were a twosome behind a twosome and in front of them a foursome. Hard to tell who was holding up who, but we had to wait every hole. We gave up after 9 holes even though we paid for 18. Bad day, looking forward to better times ahead. Nice course, and nice staff.

Go to prime rib nite!! Or any of the absolutely fantastic dishes Michael comes up with and you wont ever be disappointed!Compared to any other fancy restaurant in the area, this by far the best place to eat Ive ever been to. And, Ive been to quite a few places.The Sunday brunch is full of goodies like ever so delicately breaded shrimp, carved tender roast beef, fresh vegetables, lightly crusted baked salmon, a full array of salad and fixings,......theres just soooo much.Dont get me started on the chocolate cake or the rest of the desserts! I need a doggie bag.The big dining room has very comfy seating and over looks the beautiful outdoor patio. The dining room near the bar part has cozy and comfortable seating with the same wonderful and friendly service.Who cares if Dunkin just opened up!!! Have Sunday brunch here.

This is not a bomber course and it is not so tight that your precision needs to be spot on. Par threes feature water. Dont expect fluffy sand in the bunker. As the weather heats up, so will the greens. Very walkable.

Visited the Club recently as I am strongly considering a non-resident membership. The course was extremely nice, great layout and conditions. The greens were still working their way back from routine top dressing but rolled fine and should be in great shape in a week or two.The Club itself is very nice and spacious. Anita, the Membership Director was warm and welcoming and did a great job with the tour. This membership is also a very good value, much less expensive than most in this area. If you live anywhere in the Piedmont and you think you may want to join a Country Club, you should definitely check this place out!

Great golf venue!

Great place for an upscale gathering. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is amazing. The Filet mignon I had was so tender and tasty, cooked to perfection.
