Decent skating rink, basic arcade, basic lighting, basic sound system, basic food and drinks. Exceptional staff, very helpful and polite, very professional... Music selection needs an update. Other than that, its been a fun place for my kids and myself on more than 10 occasions...

I rented out Skate City Arvada for my 28th Birthday and had the most amazing experience for me and 40 of my closest friends. The staff was really nice and easy to work with throughout the planning process! They let us hook up our playlist and skate the night away! They really let us take over the space. The rental price is really reasonable and for 21 and up parties you can bring in your own booze and just have a great party! Thanks so much Skate City for the best birthday yet!

The staff is pretty friendly and outgoing but since the takeover of US On Wheels they have lost the family feel of the place. It is better the way it was before with a large skate rental area, plenty of games in the arcade and prizes to boot! It is to be a fabulous place where booking a birthday party was well worth the money! Not quite the homey place it was before.

Best skate city to have hang out with friends on Saturdays it fills with all teens and younger kids from 5-10 pm that time is the best to go

Roller skating is making a very fun come back and its great decent fun for the whole family. Skate City is it good location, and the people are friendly. The staff could be more attentive, possibly a little more organized, the owner is a good guy was great intentions, maybe he just needs a little more business so he can afford to hire more staff.... I like to believe that theyre just developing and by this time next year they will get five stars! The hockey program and speed skating program are definitely great for the kids. And the skating is a fantastic way for this kids to be social and do something positive and athletic.

The Arvada location is like a Straight-Up Mirror version from the Westminster location. it messed with my head! However it was a great place to be, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! 10/10 would recommend

I really like skate city for the kids, i wish i was a better skater but the kids are good at it and they love it. It is one of the cheaper things to do, it seems, which is always a plus in my book. The staff is friendly even though just like other businesses they have to run on a reduced staff due to Covid-19, but dont get me started on that, lol. We got membership passes which is an unbelievable deal, thank you skate city for that i will be bringing the kiddos back a lot.

Besides staff, a couple of people and myself, no one was wearing masks is social distancing, kids and parenting alike, as if we were not going through a pandemic. Dangerous.

Nice venue, reasonable prices. However, NONE of the patrons were wearing protective masks. All kids who dont care. However, as a grandparent, I wont return. All staff were wearing masks, so good on them.

It was a lot of fun and the people who work there were very nice. Good way to spend the day with ur family.

Its a pretty cool place, and they do a lot of stuff concerning local schools. Personally, my school does field trips there and they used to have after-school skating sessions to sponsor said school.Its a pretty good skating rink. It looks quite retro, and the place is pretty clean. The area does look a bit sketchy, but Ive been there plenty enough to know that its fine.The concessions are pretty good.

Dont get me wrong I love skating and skate city, heck Im going there today! The only 3 complaints I have are:1) its kinda dirty and in need it renovations2) You only skate for like 4 songs then a mini game. Its not as fun when you dont know how to do the mini games so just sit on the side lines.3) no skate flow. I understand that you cant control what others do but the flow of traffic while in the rink is kinda reckless and dangerousBut otherwise its a really fun place and really enjoy it.

My kids love this place. Kids are safe the manager does not put up with any ????. Trust me I have 7 kids and they are safe

Im no good at skating, but going here was a good start for me.

So I’m writing this review because the management is awesome. They were extremely accommodating. I think he was the assistant manager but he went above and beyond to make sure my step daughter and I had a great time.This place gets slammed so make sure you prepare for that.Additionally this place is a good shelter for teens, keeps them out of trouble.

Just like I remember from when I was a kid... I think the only difference was the water faucets in the restroom. Literally, I dont know if they have had any other updates lol. It has been about a year of Sundays since Ive been to this place, but the friendly staff made the experience enjoyable for everyone. I forgot how much I loved skating.

Always fun and the employees are very nice

I have been coming to the Skate City for years. When I was a kid i would go every Friday and i still do. I did roller hockey there to as a kid. I love this place But there is one employee that Raises some problems. This employee is named Jacob. He works the counter where you get your skates And he goes around the rink policing the customers. Mr. Jacob What I have seen he is very quick to lose his temper And he does not have a problem with putting his hands on people that he think are weaker Then he is. So if you have little ones Id be careful. I highly suggest that mr. Jacob be put in a job position that he does not interact with the customers. And if he cant control himself I suggest getting rid of him. The rest of the staff is great.

Kids had a blast. Very busy on presidents day. Glad to see so many kids still getting out and enjoying skating like we did back in day

I highly recommend this rink. Its clean not like some. The employees are awesome they remember your name and are very helpful when in need. The music is good and never to crowed. Even the pizza is alright.

My kids enjoyed there time there, I feel this place is a way to extort money from the adults. The skating rink is great, well besides them always stopping the skating to do crazy activities that most people dont engage with. There concession is totally over priced, I would understand paying 20 dollars for pizza if it was a fresh made pizza. But why would I pay 15 dollars for frozen pizza. And the drinks are something else, they have pitchers of soft drinks but only for birthday parties. Meaning if youre not having a party you have to buy every individual a separate soft drink. I would not take my kids again unless its for a birthday party.

Good deals on birthday parties. Kids had a lot of fun and want to go back tomorrow! One complaint: some teenagers were whipping through the crowds of birthday kids super fast. This was concerning, especially when a lot of the kids there are just learning to skate.

A bit too many games and stuff when you just wanna skate. Area is a little sketchy. But its totally an aesthetic. Fundraisers are great. Music is mixed, and offers something for everyone.

Maybe it deserves 5 stars... My only comparison is from years ago... Had a great time, great staff (mostly kids of course), skates in good shape, pretty clean. Value might be my only gripe. I will be going back if my kiddo wants to go.

All the staff is great, from the girl who receives you in the cash register to the cute girl who is in the cafeteria, made the days for my family great, many thanks to all the staff.

Very poor supervision... adult men mixing with little girls/boys. Speeding skaters in same area as watchers. One ran over me(handicapped elder) didnt stop to help me stand/sit back on seat. Will never take grchildren again!

Very fun place. You can rent rollerblades instead of skates if you want. A great place to have a kids birthday party. These places could always be a bit cleaner but they try.

I am not an avid skater but it wasnt too crowded and the music they play was fun, always love coming here.

Place is great, kids love it. Needs a little TLC in the restrooms but overall great young staff, and the culture here lends itself to kids being very helpful with other kids.

This is a rink Ive been going to for years. It used to be a very family friendly place with kind and caring staff. Now, the staff only cares about one thing, money. My most recent visit resulted in several cuts and bruises due to one of their hockey/speed skaters. My sister, who was also in attendance and not a very good skater had her knee ran over by the same boy, who didnt apologise. Once brought up with the manager he said theres nothing I can do, hes not doing anything wrong. Which is incorrect, in a public skating environment you are not allowed to check people, for a lack of better words. Checking is a term avid skaters use to describe being bumbed or pushed away from something, which this boy was doing to several people including myself. This insane amount of checking was nearly the cause of a broken bone on another person. The staff was very aware of the skater doing this, as the DJ got in a fight (instead of helping the injured as theyre supposed to do) with this boy saying I dont care if you get off the ice, but stop hitting peopleI will not be returning due to this clear uncaring in the staff and fellow skaters.

This is a very normal skating rink. It was clean and the music was good, but it was nothing out of this world our unique. The staff was nice and very helpful. With a bigger foot size (12) they had very little options when renting shoes, so you might have to compromise in a size up or down or inline vs quad if you rent and have a bigger shoe size.

Saturday night out with the kids, everyone had lots of fun, I would recommend to anyone with a couple hours of free time:)

Were there at least 4 times a month for Birthday partys. My daughter loves to go and has lots of fun.

Lisa was super helpful and kind. What great customer service. Even though there were many people that night because of a birthday party, it was still a great time. All of the employees were friendly and there was an innocent and fun atmosphere.

This skate city is much cleaner than the one off I-25 and Huron. The bathrooms were much better, too.

Always fun. They even helped my daughter when she needed her brake taken off. Good management.

It USED TO BE a family friendly place, but Skate City has changed A LOT. I used to take my children there quite often. First off, I want to say that the staff are ALL very friendly and very helpful! However, the things I’ve seen tolerated by Skate City staff on multiple visits:1) BULLYING!2) Nobody really controlling the skate flow. Out of control skaters are routinely running into those that aren’t skating so well. Sometimes intentionally.3) Loud and obnoxious cussing. I understand that kids cuss, but this is on a whole other level.4) I’m not saying anyone was smoking weed in the female restroom tonight, but when my 7 year old doesn’t want to use the restroom because “it doesn’t smell good” and that smell turns out to be cannabis, I’m assuming weed is being smoked in the restroom.This must be tolerated, because when staff was confronted about it, the literal response was that nothing could be done because weed is legal. Mind blowing.I understand young adults cuss, smoke, and have to act cool. I was one of them. But it was always kept in check by management. That doesn’t happen here. I will no longer take my children to Skate City.

Family Night from 6 to 8 on Sunday is great! I enjoyed being there and having so much fun with my son my niece sister and my brother! Highly recommend coming out, especially if youre tryin to get that bit of youth back!

The skating arena and skates were good but the tables and arcade were bad the tables are really dirty and broken and half the machines were out of service. The employees are helpful & friendly so that was good. I would try this location again to see if it improves on those few bad things.

You gotta come here if you are looking for a killer time. Employees rocked. Music was spot on. The atmosphere took me back to 5th grade when I would skate around the ring fantasizing about holding Lindsey pruitts hand during the slow dance to Forever Young . Sadly my dreams never materialized. Long live the days of elementary skating.

Fun place, but it smells a bit, parking sucks, No AC. Food is good but ice cream is pricey for a very small cup. ($3.50) yikes.

The parking lot is too small, I dont know how they would correct that given the location, but it was my first impression. The inside looks, smells, and sounds like a roller rink. The only thing is that everything felt sticky. Maybe try a different cleaning product? They stickiness really detracted from the experience. Other than that, a good time was had by all.

We watched them drop the birthday cake, no one even said so much as sorry just cut off the pieces that werent ruined and served them. when my friend mentioned to a staff member, maybe the manager? His reply was well I heard about it but I didnt know. Still never got any apology. accidents happen but seriously? Did you just expect us not to notice half the cake was missing?

It was pretty fun. Unfortunately it was extremely packed and hard to get through. There was no parking when I had arrived and the only parking available was at the hotel. I decided to wait it out. It took about 5-7 minutes until someone left. While I waited. Three other cars had arrived and they parked right on the fire lane. Seemed like it was common for them to do it. . The rink was decent and also. They would incorporate mini games for the customers to join in on. Id say dont go on a weekend with little kids due to the fact its so full of people with bday parties. I will try on a weekday and see how that goes

The lady behind the skate counter was really rude. i saw her take in multiple pairs of blades and every time i asked for a pair she refused and wouldn’t even look for any size

My daughter lives at and for this place. Have had some problems in the past, but it looks like they are trying to clean it up a bit. Guess its better to have the kids in a semi supervised environment then to have them walking the streets. So for that, I give them a definite thumbs up. Family friendly and fun environment.

My 6 year old begs to come here. Great place for the kids to spend a few hours. I used to go to the skating rink when I was a young kid and just adore the fact that my kid likes it as well. We will be back, many times I am sure.

This place is extremely crowded and its difficult to even find a place to sit and eat. Parking is hard to find too. The venue is just too small for the amount of people that go in. Its hard to even find a place to put on your skates. My kids and i have been invited to a couple of birthday parties here and the tables are too small. The place feels like a can of sardines.To summarize, its overcrowded and not enough space anywhere.

Great place for kids. Plan on spending at least $15/child if you need to rent skates and get a triangle for balancing. PS Its better to buy the toys than use the tickets you win from the games. Do bring quarters.

Adult and kid hockey leagues are great! Kyle who runs the hockey league is the best, great guy and does a good job, there’s always goalies and big teams that have grown since him taking over

This reminded me of childhood. I had a blast going here and they have all sorts of games on the skate floor and they dont forget to include all different ages. Great place for kids and honestly such a fun place to go on dates. I would give it one more star if they would invest some money on the interior, very outdated.

Have been bring my grandsons here for awhile, not only for skating but for skating lessons too. Today i asked for a cup of water and this guy wanted to charge me .25 for 2oz cup. What the hell! Guess what! No more lessons, no more $$$$$$$ from me. Skate City keep your water and theres other skating rings who do have good customer service.

It was very crowded and hot in the area where the tables are for the birthday parties! Over all it was clean and my kids had fun!

Really fun for kids. Customer service at food stand really needs improvement though. My family frequents there. The wait is usually always really slow. I don’t understand why when several other staff members are standing around. Today pretzels were out, cotton candy machine broken. I was told Icee machine was still warming up after we had been there 45 minutes. After 45 minutes I went back up to order one & that was broken too. Pepsi was out & the employee was actually charging people for the pizza that he burned. It’s usually not this bad. It’s never great, I cut them slack, it’s young kids working there, but come on. Staff definitely needs improvement.

Good place in the day. At night on weekends its another story fights in the bathroom, kids acting crazy. The parking lot gets extremely packed sometimes parents arguing over parking spaces.

Fun place but could use a good cleaning. We visited at a few different times of the day. Weekend nights can be a little unruly. Parents dump off their kids and there is lack of supervison.

Skate City has been around since I was a kid, and I was happy to see Kids still skating! Now, one might be put off by the somewhat outdated appearance of the skating rink, but thats part of the charm. It is clean inside and well cared for. You will find a mix of abilities on the skating rink, so be cognizant of newer skaters, but its a ton of fun. They break the skating into 2 hour sessions, so dont just pop in, check the times first. The skating is pretty inexpensive, as are rentals. Its a great option to have fun with the kids in the wintertime. The tipping point for 5 stars from me was that the rental skates are in great shape.

Fun place to take the kids

One of the thinks I thought was great was the fact that there were many interactive games and activities. I also loved the choice of music, and the light activity. But, everything has its downs. The place from the outside was not exactly appealing and when I got inside, I immediately noticed a smell, there was lots of trash on the floor and the bathrooms are filthy.

The Thursday night adult skates are great! Not too crowded, no little kids darting around, and great people to skate with. Everyone is helpful and friendly, and they let people take time to learn and relearn how to skate.The floor is quick though! Great for speed.

There is a man who works there, he tried to sell me a cheap inflatable for $5. When he left my friend bought it from a girl for $3. He clearly tried to scam me. Other wise the skating is fun and its a nice rink. Just dont buy anything.

Staff is amazing and so accommodating! They checked on my daughter when she fell, tightened skates and were so helpful. The place could use a cleaning, in particular the white wall along the side that the spectators watch from.

We went here for my grandsons birthday in Sept. Had a wonderful time. Skating, cake and games. We all had a blast! They also offer different packages for all occasions.

This place is great! My 5 year old is taking her first set of lessons and is having a blast! The instructors are super fun and handle injuries amazingly! (its roller skating-someones gonna get hurt-bring your pads)
