If you enjoy learning about American History, you will love visiting Old Town Arvada Colorado! The flour mill and McIlvoy house are a 3 dimensional blast into the past! Great photo ops up on the top story of the mill looking west towards the Arvada water tower. But the best part is learning about how grains came to be flour and how this farmer supplied tiny town became to be what it is today...The McIlvoy House is filled with stuff that will confuse the hell out of your kids and any Millinials that wander in... The staff is very friendly and happy to explain all of the past tech or historical events. Its so interesting and alien that your kids might even look away from their phones for a minute and *gasp* learn something... No promises about that, but if you like history, this is a sweet spot!
