Great place for a walk or run. Only thing that would give eagle draw a 5 star rating would be better lit crosswalks.

I, and others, have walked the paths closest to the Animal Clinic, and 5th St. There needs to be MUCH MORE watering done. These older trees seem to be okay (maybe watered beneath the ground?) but much of the grass (weeds) are mostly still dead. Looks pretty pathetic. Ive been at different hours of the days, and have not seen the sprinklers on yet. Please keep the area green as I remember it to be. Today a couple of Moms and their little ones were walking when I was, and they agreed with me. (Maybe add $1.00 to our water bills to pay for it. :-)Judy Starkey , (elderly and still walking)

There is a good reason why Artesia has the Eagle Draw. If you are not a local or not a person who likes to learn and do research... Youd have a better understanding on why Eagle Draw is a major landmark for Artesians. I think its beautiful where it is built, as it is a major historical marker and a great place to liven up, the negative quick assumptions of the area. In this world, and this little ol town there are not hardly any safe areas, no matter where you go always be aware of your surroundings not just in lil ol Artesia. Its a huge world out there, discover it. The world doesnt revolve around this area.

The Eagle Draw is looking better than ever and with the newish Navajo nature trail theres always people. Fitness lovers will really enjoy this long park as it has a bike lane, walking/running lane, and lots of activity stations along the way. It looks great to boot.

Small park in downtown Artesia, near the highway. Confusing one way access roads and not much else to recommend it I, winter. It might be nicer in the summer.

Kids play equipment is a little out dated but still fun. Nice place to walk with your kids or with your dog. I dont like how the play equipment is so close to the road. But I do enjoy the excsrsie equipment.

A fairly popular park by locals. Nifty little gyms placed in convenient areas. Kids area. Some Artesian historical items make for interesting facts. Walking paths and also serves as the towns main drainage system to prevent flooding.

It is beautiful for a city to concern itself with its citizens health. Eagle Draw Park has become the place to go to enjoy exercise.

Os
Review №47

This is a positive part of our little city. We really enjoy taking the walkway path along Eagle Draw. The plus side is that it can be beneficial to our health and a safe place to walk avoiding traffic. The downside is that too many of us are walking our pets along this same path without any regard to making sure we clean up after our pets.....thus leaving doggie bombs all along the path. We as pet owners need to pick up after our pets and the City of Artesia should provide Doggie stations with proper signs to clean up after your pets. Perhaps incorporateing this into the existing Leash Law would be something our City Council members could pass as a City Ordinance.....
