Went with kids. Path was over grown mid September. Turned around after 7 or 10 minutes because path was too overgrown to carry a 2 year old. I might have kept going if only with the teenage kids.

If you like a more natural experience in the woods and next to the Meramec, this place might be for you. Watch for falling tree limbs, though. Theres a boat ramp and plenty of spots to fish from the banks. Some work is being done to clear and level some areas so there might be some exciting developments on the way. Theres a lot of potential here.

Well, its home. I live here with the deer, a fox family, a couple of racoons, a coyote, several dozen rabbits and squirrels, and numerous birds.

Despite widely-published information, the hiking trail here is neither easy nor complete. Its a quarter-mile down a 30-degree grade into a debris-choked clearing, where the trail apparently ends. Then its back the same way, except its even steeper on the way up.

Full of mosquitos. Had to turn around and go back to car. My son got bit at least 20 times before we got back. Swarms followed us out of woods.

The entrance for the trail is at the gravel lot at the end of Rockwood Rd. , Not by the river at Flamm City Park so everyone knows. , Beware of a lot of ticks though

This isnt much of a park. Its a picnic table at the end of a road with some trails off of it. Personally, Ive never been on the trails.
