Northside is a staple in Arlington and for good reason. Incredible lattes, tea selection, food (favorites are the turkey sandwich, smoked salmon sandwich, and avocado toast...), bakery items. All around a great spot!

Chill atmosphere. Nice chocolate. Good prices, they are doing a good social distancing job. Convenient location for a chat. I recommend this place

Their prices are kinda over inflated, and their service always seems to be lacking. I go infrequently and always seem to be helped by someone whos unhappy to be there. The vegan scones are excellent though. I just probably wont go very much after this. Great place to meet people for a quick drink as well.

Friendly service, great coffee, nice menu, large outdoor seating area. Prices are moderately high. I had a nine grain toast with hummus, peanut butter, dried fruit and seeds for$6.50. If I remember correctly, the quiche was $11.25. I would definitely go there again.

I love coming here to get a coffee treat! They have super kind staff and are very prompt with coffee orders. I always feel taken care of here and the lattes are so delicious. Im very thankful they have alternative milks too like soy for my vegan tummy.

I love Northside Social because it is such a chill place to sit and enjoy coffee or a small bite to eat. It is one of my favorite places to go to catch up with friends or get some much needed work done. In the post-COVID world, things are a bit different and you cannot hang around inside like before, but I think the owners have made the best of the situation and you can still enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting outside. The overall chill nature of the shop has not changed at all and I am glad they are open and able to serve the community.

This is one of my favorite places to go with a friend or family, place to study, or a quick coffee. Their coffee is awesome, the food is delicious, and I feel like it’s a place to go for multiple occasions whether it’s in the morning as a causal thing or in the evening for a fun night out. The staff are super nice and fantastic doing whatever they can go make your visit be amazing.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Arlington. The food selection is amazing with a few vegetarian and vegan options too - their savory pop tart is a must try. The drinks are great, and their mug and punch card system is amazing for camping out to do work through the day. Despite pandemic hardships, they are handling everything very well and utilizing their outdoor space. Their espresso drinks are also phenomenal. I love the turmeric ginger chai latte with a milk substitute (it’s the perfect hangover cure)

Love the Northside Social coffee app. Offers rewards just because. Initially started going because of the gift card now I go because of the good coffee! Would definitely go more without it, and they also do a wonderful job with the social distancing requirements during the pandemic. They have good wines too. Hopefully we can try more when this pandemic is over.

I ordered online through their website. When I went to pick up my order from their little bookshelf, my latte was not iced even though the label had clearly printed that I had ordered iced. My oatmeal did not have a spoon in the bag even though it was supposed to be for rapid pick up. I paid $2 for fruit to be added to the oatmeal but that consisted of 2 slivers of banana and 2 slivers of strawberry. Not sure why I paid $8.50 for this oatmeal. Overall, not worth what I spent if they don’t pay attention to the details that make the order.

The smoked salmon sandwich was great! Reduced indoor seating capacity during COVID and they have good amount of outdoor seating. I love the vibe and the neighborhood in general.

Northside is a cozy, vibrant spot that is truly in touch with the neighborhood around it. I frequent Northside and have yet to have an experience that is not a perfect 5/5. Only wish there were more seating options for a cold day where outdoor seating is not an option. Coffee is great and every food item Ive tried is delicious. So thankful this place exists!

We come here every time we’re in town to visit the in-laws. This place is great for low-key brunch and coffee. They have really good food, coffee, wine, and desserts. I’m a really big fan of the sausage breakfast sandwich which comes with a basil aioli. Delicious. I also love their outdoor seating. Their upstairs is a great place to work on a laptop too.

The cookies are great here so are the sandwiches. Hopefully they get a better coffee brew it wasnt bad but it wasnt very good!

We tried two breakfast sandwiches (the bacon and poached egg and sausage and poached egg) and were unimpressed. They both lacked flavor and looked better in the photos than in reality. Not worthy the price of $8 each. Can not speak to the quality of the coffee.

That sandwich here was really really good. Whatever they used for the bread was delicious! Coffee was good too. Place seemed like its probably always packed.

Very nice and charming coffee shop that is pretty big with lots of seating (2 rooms downstairs, outside, and upstairs). But, very popular so finding a seat can be a little hard during peak times. Lots of folks working on laptops, and one room has a laptop bar with charging outlets. Delicious food and drinks and really nice staff! Plus they use local farm dairy and counter culture coffee which you can buy in bulk.

I do not have enough good things to say about northside social. It is great coffee. They do tend to get busy especially around brunch time on the weekend, but the line does move relatively quickly. The coffee is roughly the same price as starbucks, but it is so much better. If you get a chance, get a sticky bun there. They are delicious but they definitely sell out frequently. You can also get beer and wine there! In the picture is a large mocha latte.

Great coffee house for a nice meal and cup of coffee or tea. Relaxed environment, 2 floors with plenty of high and low seating. Selection for food is solid, we had 2 sandwiches, very hearty. During nice weather, outside patio is pleasant. Parking is also easy in adjacent lot.

Our favorite coffee shop to order out from during social distancing! Their cold brew growlers are just $8/32 oz currently. Staff is always friendly, the vibe is always warm and the coffee + snacks are consistently delicious!

I typically have a good experience here, but the girl working in the mornings (calling out to go orders) needs extra training on how to be a decent human being and not yell at customers. Extremely rude and disrespectful- and in a time where we need to show extra kindness to one another.Not to mention the coffee was extremely subpar.Next time I’ll remember this experience and happily drive the extra distance to support Swing’s instead.

What a great find! This cozy coffee bar offers so much more than just coffee, definitely try some of their food. The sandwiches all have a unique twist on a classic and the baked goods are divine, especially the pistachio meringue! There’s also plenty of seating available.

A small local cafe reminiscent of a few decades past with excellent albeit limited menu. The kitchen is very humble but the selections were very tasty. Moreover they have ample outdoor seating for a beautiful afternoon. Inside has a wooden almost romantic feeling without the glitz and pompous air. Overall its a nice change of pace in a busy city to quench your thirst and feel relaxed while socializing with friends or studying alone.

Love the vibe of this spot in Arlington. Great third wave style coffee, delicious sweets (especially the cookies) and great small portion food items. They also wine and some beers. Northside Social is a beautiful representation of the community in which is resides. Everyone and all ages can be found and we love it! Also the Baristas and super friendly. Parking is metered, but there are plenty of spots. Americano and Latte were really good... but not 5 stars. They use Counter Culture Beans!

Good coffee, good wine, good ambiance to get some work done, or to meet up with a friend or casual interview. Not on the cheap side but not on the overpriced side either. Wish it was open 24/7. I never come here for the cooked food, not to my taste, but the pastries are good.

Ive been to Northside Social countless times, but today was an exceptional experience! I ate brunch upstairs at the bar by myself, and Kate was my server. She was so sweet and friendly, and we had a great conversation! The chicken and biscuits were delicious. They also have the best doughnuts in Clarendon! I look forward to visiting Northside again and again for years to come. Thanks again for the great service!!

Always fantastic. Coffee is from a well-known NC roaster called Counter Culture. Teas are great too. Wonderful area to sit and relax, work quietly, or catch up with a friend. Food is very farm to table and quite good.

I really enjoyed this coffee shop. They use Counter Culture coffee. There is a ton of space here including a sit down style restaurant upstairs. Lots of outdoor seating and a very quick walk from Clarendon Metro Station.

Trendy and popular place for coffee. Offering other menu items as well, including some unique breakfasts. May return to try another breakfast on a less busy day. Service was quite slow for our small party even sitting upstairs in the sit down service section. Food tasted okay.

This place is just amazing.I stopped in for the first time last week, just happened to pass it by on the road as its always crowded and people are sitting outside and chill every time. Their food was good crazy good and staff were super nice. The woman who took my order said such nice thing about me. It was perfect night.

Ive been coming to Northside Social for years now. The only thing better than the atmosphere is the coffee! Their brunch is very reasonably priced and consistently delicious.

Great wine bar upstairs with a fantastic rotating wine selection, craft beer, and light food. Their charcuterie and cheese boards are excellent. One of the best (focused) selections of Belgian beer in town.

Great set-up for takeout in a social distancing world. It was ready right on time & I walked in and out without waiting in any line. I ordered a large latte and the bacon & egg sandwich with cheese and it was worth it. Ill go again.

Love this place!! I’ve had their salads, always great. Today was the first time I had a breakfast food. Had the ham and poached egg sandwich. I was hesitant because I don’t like runny eggs. The woman who took my order said it could be good through, and she was right! It was perfect! Also had the Greek yogurt and that was great as well. Had the blueberry scone, delicious! Thank you!

My first time coming to Northside was approximately 3 years ago and I was impressed. The attention to detail for how large this restaurant is kind and the customer service is respectable. Just having something as simple as a Sausage, Egg, and cheese will make you want to come back. Nice job!

My friend took me there last night that it was cold and windy. The first time, I entertained there. So, I ordered the hot chocolate and peanut butter cookie. Theyre delicious, yummy!

$5.80 for a cortado espresso. NO THANKS. Oh its cause I do not drink utter cow milk? Up sale $1 for a non dairy milk yet the amount of milk in a cortado is not nearly the same amount in a latte. Either way...ROBBERY. PLUs why is your music so LOUD and so bad. I mean do we really need to here hotel California again? its 2020. Modern up or become obsolete.

Ive lived in dc for ten years and this is my FAVORITE coffee shop. Not only is the coffee good, but the baked goods (read: get any scone!!!) are out of this world. I also appreciate the clean, open space, friendly staff and awesome outdoor space. I tell anyone visiting the area to make sure they stop by!

Where I take my friends and associates when its sunny out and I want to impress them. Coffees awesome, foods delicious.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but I like this fairly large coffee house for its pastries, its beers in individual bottles, and its pleasant size and location. It’s tucked right on Wilson Boulevard just past the bustle of Washington Boulevard, with a line of trees and a Capital Bikeshare dock between it and Washington Boulevard.The pastries are nice and made either in-house or by someone close by. They’re different from and better than most of the pastries in the area. They’re pretty large and thick rather than delicate. They include a lot of things you might enjoy with coffee, of course, but some of these are pretty unusual, like pop tarts made with Nutella or blueberries. These are very flaky and are better eaten cold than heated, I think. In the winter, they make flat raisin cookies that are very similar to something my parents used to buy. I think they were called Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuits in the ‘70s. These have a thin layer of hard white frosting on them, and are very good as well as satisfying my nostalgia.As far as beer goes, they sell one of my favorite brands, which is still pretty hard to get: Aecht Schlenkerla Märzen, a rauchbier made in Bamberg. I used to live there, and I acquired a taste for this odd but delicious smoked beer.There are both large indoor and outdoor seating areas. It’s pretty noisy inside, but you can sit in either seating area and use their wifi.

When something starts going down hill as a regular you can feel it. I have been going to this coffee shop since its opening as an Arlingtonian it is something to appreciate the neighborhood for but recently there is a feeling of a lack of management or delegating the wrong people to manage things around when you are short, loud music so loud that it feels like a club honestly I was having coffee today and music was so loud that even three couples were looking around like is this serious and they just left even when their coffees were in mugs and they just could not stand how loud was some Spanish club music ( nothing against Spanish music which I can enjoy at cafe citron when i want to ) which does not well at least with coffee at 2pm.When I asked the person in charge why it is too loud that u could not even talk on the phone he said even louder than the music we are to close seriouslyIf you are about to close come and say we will close in 10 min just like the gentleman said last night when I was coffee and doing work in the back room which I respect clean attitudeEven coffee recently to get a foam clean coffee like cappuccino I have to make sure who is working at the espresso machine( if not Paul and other gentleman I forgot his name ) otherwise it is a waste of money I rather go to Starbucks if I want your lousy moody coffee

A cool little place we happened to stop in for brunch on the way to visit friends. Definitely a bit crowded in the upstairs, table service area. I had a beer cocktail that was pretty tasty and good for a brunch drink (had some coffee in it.)I went with a Cuban sandwich, but I’m not much for mustard so I asked to hold it. The sandwich came fairly sauced with something. I thought I’d at least give it a shot and it wasn’t too strong, so I didn’t want to say anything. It came with a side of potato salad which was decent (and I don’t really like mayo either.) My wife had a sandwich and that came with a side of one of those single bags of potato chips. She liked her food as well. Service was a little slow, especially considering the pay meters outside, so we really had to keep track of our time. I was also a little disappointed that after we ordered, I saw some other people with pastry/coffee menus with additional items.Ok place with pretty good food.

What a nice place. Food was DELICIOUS. If this place were closer to home Id be ruined. Coffee is pretty good too. Besides the place is cosy, staff is very friendly, they speak both English and Spanish. Different plans are suitable here: breakfast, brunch, coffee, drinks... Totally recommended.

A small group of guys and I meet here regularly for a bible study. The coffee is very good, well sourced. The staff is quite friendly, though sometimes the service can be slow.

The owner is just as pleasant as the coffee! Very great atmosphere with a small hipster, but not too much hipster, vibe.

I typically do not describe myself as a “salty” person, but after consuming half of the bacon-poached egg sandwich, “salty” is the only adjective to explain my state in the moments and hours after my consumption. If you do dare to order the bacon-poached egg sandwich I would encourage you to wash it down with a soda or something heavy to mask the dominant salt flavor and explicitly say you do not want cheese (which I did but somehow It ended up on my sandwich) because that and the bacon seemed to add the most salt to my life. Also, you are not allowed to take food ordered downstairs upstairs during dinner time (even on the weekend), this makes it very difficult to stay with your party. This rule is strictly enforced even when there are few patrons upstairs.

AMAZING coffees, delicious well priced foods and fabulous service.

The food is good and the service is efficient. However, I have been twice, one of those times being 11 am on a Friday, and it has always been packed.

Good atmosphere, but they have a set 195 degrees for all their loose leaf tea. It’s a positively barbaric practice.

Great good and coffee. Never seems totally clean though. Maybe its the volume of customers?
