Kansas has so many parks! NC should take notice. We loved visiting all the parks my hubby grew up at. Wilson park was a blast for our kiddos. Thank you for caring about your youth and for giving them so many places to be active and play ️

Very nice park. Love the train. Only complaint i have is, the picnic tables need replaced/repaired and it would be nice if some were in the shade.

This park has been a staple in Arkansas City for decades. It has been newly renovated. It has duel swings for baby and adult to sit in at the same time. It also has many learning interactive toys as well. This park is the main park of the city. Many town events are held here threw out the year. This is such a neat park that its not just for the young. Anyone who comes will find something to enjoy. So get out and see Wilson Park. Just down the way, about a block or two, is a braums. Who doesnt like the sound of park and ice cream?

This park has some great and some not so great aspects. The train is really cool and it has just been refurbished and made even cooler and much safer than before. However, it still isnt safe the steps are very steep, and although theres a better rail than before it would still be very easy for any kid to climb through. Its great for bigger kids, but definitely not for younger ones. This seems to be the theme for the whole park though, great for big kids, terrible for small ones. The playground equipment is all very tall with plenty of drop offs. The only medium sized slides are only accessible by a rope ladder, a rock climbing wall, and a steep bridge, making it difficult for small children to get to. The only equipment for small kids is a couple of swings. There is also no fence around the park and its right on the main street, so once again, very dangerous. Now, this park is great if your kids are bigger, but if you have little ones I would stick to Pershing Park or Paris Park.
