We visited after hours and were unable to tour the grounds. But we were able to follow a pathway from the beach that lead up to a gorgeous overlook of La Poza del Obispo and the lighthouse in the background. I recommend durable shows for this climb, flip flops would be difficult. It was super windy when we were up there, so hold on to your hat! Spectacular views at the top.

Great learning and entertainment place! The views are amazing. I wish I had spent more time there to see everything. We only had 2 1/2 hours and didnt get to see one side since the ocean view and ocean breeze had us hypnotized. LolOnly thing we didnt like was the restrooms but it looks like they still updating things since the hurricane. Maybe they will work on that later.

The lighthouse and the park is not worth the visit. If you have kids though they may find that place more amusing and play on the wooden ships . There is nothing to see in the light house. You can still see plenty of damage from hurricane Maria, and in the cloudy day the place looks depressing. The most infuriating are conditions that animals in the petting zoo live in.However, I highly recommend to stop by the small fishing pier located near the light house and watch pelicans, fishermen, and their hilarious interactions.

$12 for adults and $10 for kids 2 and up, 2 and under are free. Historically educational with lots of interesting information beautiful scenery. There are different stops along the way to the top where the light house is. It starts with the taínos and how they lived, then the introduction of the slave to the island. Then pirates. Then you get to the light house. They also have a playground and a splash pad mini water park. All in all it was a fun afternoon full with historical value and fun.

We really struggled giving this four stars rather than five. This is a spectacular location and a very unique Lighthouse with Rich history. However, we did not do enough research ahead of time and once we arrive discoveted the entrance fee is $12 for adults and $10 for children. We were more interested in taking a hike up the hillside to view the lighthouse because we had done our own research about the history. We wanted a few photos in a little nature walk. unfortunately, you got to pay a fee for both parking and entrance fee. Just be aware. Read the other reviews to discover all the fun activities activities inside the park.

I went with my 3 years old nephew and my 7 years old niece and the had a wonderful day. It took about a little more than 3 hours to see and do everything. I recomend doing everything and leave the pool for the end, but remember its open until 5pm even though the park close at 6pm, so make a schedule. When entering the park of you go clock wise (start walking going to your left after buying tickets) its gonna make more sense: Indian tribe, pirate boats, pirate cave and aquarium, the actual light house, going down the mini zoo, the pool and at the end of the day if they still have energy the playground.

Nice little stop for the family. The aquarium area was nice, but a bit smaller than expected. Outdoor playground wasnt really useable due to the heat. Water area was definitely very family friendly and both my boys (ages 3 and 1) had a blast. A bit pricey for the entertainment offered.

Great day trip for a family. Especially good for younger kids thanks to the Pirate ship playground, little splash water park, and Pirate cove - complete with pirate scenes and a mini aquarium (think Pirates of the Caribbean on a non profit budget). For the adults, visit for the gorgeous views of the beach and ocean. Truly breathtaking on a sunny day. There are clean restrooms and a nice snack stand as well.Great restaurants nearby can round out your day.

Needs restauration, but it is a must see while visiting Arecibo. Bring bug spray and sunscreen. Scenery is beautiful. El Faro is nearby restaurants and other touristic spots. Good price for access to attractions for both kids and adults alike. The price includes parking. I didnt like the donkeys that were kept in tiny pen. They looked bored to me.

We were surprised to see that this place is much more than a lighthouse. It also has a historical tour, food, a petting zoo, a pirate cave with a very impressive aquarium and, of course, a lighthouse.

Its a nice place although not much to do. The thing I loved most was the view and the little cave where theres the accuarioum. It has a beautiful view of the sea. But other than that theres not much to do. The water park pool is not deep so its more for kids than for adults. The little pedal boats where out of service, the light house was closed, part of the playground was broken. You can climb the boats and take photos but again other than that thats pretty much it. Some of the boards on the boat where moving and creaking because they where about to break. The gift shop doesnt have variety just a bunch of pirate hats. For $12 dollars I would expected more than just photos.

In the up side the views of the coast from the outside of the lighthouse are great, the aquarium is cool. The spray/pool is good for kids, not really for adults. Down side, cant go up in the lighthouse, not much actual history presented about the light house, the pirate theme seems out of place, the gift shop is sparse. It does seem a bit overpriced if you dont use the slash area. They do charge for parking but I didnt mind since they had a security guard.

The lighthouse is closed, looks like much needed repair probably from hurricane Maria. The views from the deck are amazing. The womens bathroom is a disaster, feces coming up from the sewage trap in the ground. I gave it 3 stars for the views. Not worth $12 admission fee. They need to invest in their business if they want it to flourish.

A beautiful sight of the blue blue ocean, incredible cliffs and an incredible natural protected cove great for relaxing, wading and especially gentle for children. The beach is great for walking and if you have footwear a short climb on the rocks can be well worth the breathtaking view of waves crashing on the rocks. If you choose to climb the rocks be careful and watch out for sea urchins in the crevices, they can be tricky to see.

The place is amazing, specially for family trips! Although it is not allowed to bring food or drinks from outside, they have a nice little restaurant there. There you will find some fun and history with replicas of indigenous, African and European heritage of the Puerto Rican people. There are pirate ships and artifacts (fake but fun), a small aquarium and a small farm-animals exhibit. And dont forget your swim suit, because they also have a small water park for cooling down. All (except the food) is included when you pay for entrance (about $15 per person).... but active duty military personnel are exempt.

The lighthouse is unimpressive to say the least. The park is slightly fun for children under 10 but definitely not worth the price! In addition, the park charges for parking but they are unable to ensure your vehicle and/or the contents will be okay in their unsecured parking lot.We did see some impressive light houses and animals but not at this park. By the way there is no shark as of 12-14-19. The restrooms at the front of the park were out of order and the splash park was not operable during our visit. We drove a long way and we were extremely disappointed. Save your money and take your kids somewhere they will actually enjoy.

The lighthouse is tiny, closed, and unimpressive. The historical museum is two spaces with a bunch of antique trunks, a random warship model with no context, their guides information is underwhelming. It could be (slight) fun for children as an activity park. They charge you for a spot in an open gated parking that has no guards or cameras. As an insult, theres a beach in front on the parking with a lot of parking space for free 10 steps away. At a normal walking pace you can see everything in 15 minutes. NOT worth the $12+fees USD. There are actually impressive lighthouses with light fixtures free and open for public throughout the island. Im sad I wasted my driving time and money on this.
