Definitely worth stopping in while driving from Dallas to OKC! This free museum has so much history and its free to visit . The staff is so friendly and helpful! The gift shop prices are low and we were so glad we stopped in. Give yourself an hour to take everything in!

This is a very nice museum, there is no charge but they do accept donations. It is nice how alot of things are grouped together to look like an old office, or examination room, or the other things they have displayed there. There is a nice military section that has models, uniforms, some weapons and other things. Another section is filled with old tractors and an outside barn full of farm implements. There is a room with a display for the 1915 gas explosion in Ardmore related to the old train and painting downtown. It has lots of written information and shows some of the firefighting equipment. This is definitely a nice place to visit, wonderful volunteers that are very friendly and helpful. They also have a nice little gift shop with a couple of unique things that isnt too expensive.

We didnt have time to view the whole place and we were there over an hour, we will go back to finish our looking. Staff are super nice and friendly.Put it in your travel plans you will not be disappointed.

Since the new director took over this museum has become a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon your kids will enjoy it. I cant say enough good things about the displays and what there is to discover. Atmosphere is amazing clean but still has that feeling of walking through time you feel like Youre in the past .

Nice little museum. Has a good military section and surprisingly a old log house inside the building. I would have enjoyed more on the local Native Americans from this area but hey, you cant have it all when theres No entrance fee to get in..

A great place to see artifacts from our local community history. The exhibits do a terrific job of showing what life used to look like. The new Tools of Our Land exhibit shows a wide variety of the items used in the agricultural activities of yesteryear. The only change I would make is giving a little more context information for the items on display.
