This is the best course I have ever seen on such a compact site. There is an amazing sequencing of holes that lure you into the round. The first 6 give you comfort, the second six give you a chance to score, the final 6 ask everything from you. The carry on 18 is much harder than it looks. The members are the best example of a host club that I have experienced.

Undoubtedly the best golf experience of my life. Perfect conditions from tee to green despite less than perfect weather. The caddies were extremely knowledgable and gave great advice on every green and every approach shot. A 1st class facility in every regard.

Beautiful courses, great staff, awesome pro shop and the views allow you to sit on a deck with a cool drink and watch trees sway in the breeze. I mean golfing there is great too, but this place is a site to see.

Anyone for 18 holes of I highly recommend Marion golf club , beautiful turf well kept , your hearts desire right here comes on down

I have been lucky enough to play here a handful of times. This is without a doubt, the premier club in the Philly area, and frankly, one of the greatest courses in the world. The atmosphere is idyllic, the food exquisite. Merion Golf Club is the epitome of excellence.

Caddied at this dump and old money means old money, these people were so tight that moths flew out of their wallets when they paid you for lugging their junk around for five hours. The most valuable lesson was learned was how NOT TO TREAT PEOPLE

Merion Golf Club is home to two championship layouts, the world-renowned East course and the West course. In the East course you will find one of the United States most admired tree-lined and open parkland layouts, with an outstanding array of excellently crafted and challenging holes. Golf courses dont get any better than this. However, this is a private course generally playable only by members and their guests.

First of all I work here. Its a great place to work. The staff members are a great group of people. The bosses are some of the world best in my opinion. Merion has been at this location for over a 100 years. I am just happy to be on this journey with my teammates. Thank you Merion for alouding me too be apart of this club.

From a friend who’s son had to witness the Upper Crust! Or should I say Judge Smeals of the world!So I’m at The famed Merion golf club asking directions from two guys on the range.... mid thirties maybe older and asked if they would take outside money in the pro shop? They were great and said no problem. One asked how the Pats were going to be and teasing said we have no receivers but hoped we could meet again in the super bowl!!! Next he says “did you and your son bring clubs? We could join them!!! I explained that we had to catch a flight but what an offer. Nice guys!Next we went to the pro shop to grab a shirt and some other memorabilia with my son when the pro says “ guys, do you have some other attire that you could change into?” We say, sorry, we are just picking up a few things and will only be a second. He says ok but please be timely so you don’t get uncomfortable around a member and I won’t lose my job! Sure sure no problem and thank you. Mind you, we are in casual cloths that I felt ok being on the grounds but surely not golf attire!As we pick out some items a older gentleman walks in and immediately says “what are they doing here?”.......pro explains and the guy says, “move them along”.Next thing is mind boggling to me......the guy then says to the pro “I just witnessed something that I have never seen before, a man is giving a lesson on the practice green!!! I want you to inform him that players play and professional teach! No lessons on the practice green. REALLY??? Can’t help a buddy with his putting prior to a round????? Happens every day at every course in the World but obviously not here!The pro says he will take care of it then asks nicely if we are all set? We cut it short feeling bad for the pro and left!!!Lesson learned for my son........don’t ever be a pretentious #%^*|! Like that older obvious member and don’t ever treat anyone like that!!!!Con says “I wish we could have said let’s go play we were just invited by the younger member”!!!Sad reality I guess.

One of the US great golfing venues.

Certainly the lesser of the two Merion courses, but what can you expect when being compared to Merion East! Short, well maintained, and a lot of fun, the West course deserves more respect then it usually gets.
