Private outdoor hot tubs with a cozy little cafe environment. Vegan drink options available and you can bring a drink to your hot tub. Payment is per person. You choose between a 30 or 60 minute reservation, which includes the time you need to change and shower before getting into your tub. Towels can be borrowed for a small fee. You also get 30 minutes after your reservation in your changing room, but keep in mind that the changing rooms are best sized for 2 adults and are not heated. Tubs fit 4 adults comfortably.

A little oasis of calm and serenity staff are so friendly, chai is delish and the grounds are amazing! The bath houses are clean and the water was glorious! We even found 2 four leaf clovers!! Highly recommend! Book a half hour in the tubs and a half hour in the sauna if you want both on your visit!!!! Will be back asap!

We love the saunas here, and always leave happy. Staff is chill and friendly, coffee is good, saunas are well maintained, but I cant speak for the hot tubs. Priced reasonably, given its a unique experience around here but they dont offer group rates. Maximum number of adults is 6, which would fit fine in the sauna itself, although only 3-4 fit comfortably in the dressing room. They do have towels to rent, but you can just come prepared. Would reccomend sauna and/or cafe for a relaxing evening with friends, they are open relatively late which is also nice.

Incredible experience, every time. Hottubs and Cafe are like scheduling a mini vacation, and Ive heard great things about the sauna as well. Great staff, beautiful set up. Highly recommend to both visitors in the area and locals, but keep in mind you need to schedule an appointment at least a day in advance.

This place is cute and quaint. Saunas and tubs are nice and tucked in a way that you forget your in town. They have yummy coffee drinks also.

Such a beautiful place with a vibe that transports you to another world. We LOVE this place! The private hot tubs are a favorite activity for date night and the pond is a magical place to enjoy a cup of coffee.

This place is incredible and its the reason theyre popular. My only complaint is how popular they are because it can be a little tricky trying to reserve a spot sometimes. If youre flexible you shouldnt have much trouble though.

My wife and I make a point to come here at least once a month. Wonderful atmosphere, even if you’re just grabbing a coffee and reading a book either in their enchanting parlor or the scenic outdoor seating. The hot tubs are amazing! We have yet to try the sauna’s, but look forward to it in a future visit.

I love this place so much. Always call ahead and make a reservation. They are pretty booked up. I heard they clean the tubs every Wednesday. Dont quote me tho my memory is hazy these days.

The saunas and hot tubs are almost a weekly ritual for us. I am so thankful for a place like this on the Humboldt Coast. Just smelling cedar now makes me wish I was in a cozy sauna room or in the cafe drinking a hot mocha. This is one of my favorite places in Arcata.

The staff and facility are amazing. Everyone who works there has been there for a while which is always a good sign. This is the spot for a proper sauna/soak.

One of the sleeper hits of a 7 week road trip across America came in the delightful form of Cafe Makka, a coffe shop and most importantly private hot tub and sauna facility. Discovered on accident as we drove out of Eureka and saw a random billboard advertising private hot tubs, it was a no-brainer as our bodies were very sore from the driving, hiking and camping we’d been doing for weeks on end. After a slight bout of confusion finding the place, it has a low key appearance and the GPS was thrown off by exact location, we hesitantly made our way in and we were treated royally to a list of their services by the friendly staff. Before we knew it we had our own private hot tub and space next to an enormous tree. Being totally secluded in the rustic setting added to the pleasurable soak we undertook for a half an hour. Total bliss and totally recommended.

The soakey pokey is a delight to go with friends and relations if you are comfortable with soaking together in the nude. Its very calming to enjoy the outdoorsy nature of the private hot tubs

Loved the ambiance and hot tubs! The place is amazing little spa for us. After a hike at Big Lagoon to Agate Beacg and back this really felt great. There is a shower to shower prior and after. Its like a Fantasy Land to me and so reasonable.

My favorite place to unwind. Its always clean, the people who work there are always nice, and its the BEST hot chocolate with house made whipped cream.

Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly staff. This is a must if your in Arcata , and need a break from the stress of the day to day. They have a wonderful garden, and tables outside to enjoy the weather on pleasant days. Affordable, and will make you feel like royalty. Finnish royalty anyway.

The lobby was cozy and very homie but a bit cramped. The courtyard was well maintained and very pretty if not a little spooky at night once the heavy fog rolled it. The tubs were great, clean, clear, well heated. The button for the jets was easily missed but also easily found and reachable from within the tubs.

Only place in Arcata you can take a hot tub or sauna without a membership. This is a Humboldt County staple and recommend it to anybody who likes to soak or sweat. Its a little pricey ($10 for 30 minutes) however it is worth the occasional treat.The hot tubs are outdoors under beautiful trees, a very serene and private experience. The saunas are of course indoors and are very hot, some of the hottest saunas I have experienced. The fact that all these facilities are private is a huge plus.Inexpensive espresso bar and cozy seating in the lobby are real assets, great even if you dont plan on taking a hot tub or sauna.

So beautiful and secluded, private tubs are a must on a rainy day.

OMG, I love this place. Their coffee is yummy, and the entrance has a cool tavern feel. The hot tubs are meticulously cleaned after each patron, are very private, and are generally fantastical. The paths to the tubs look like you stepped into a gorgeous forest in a fairytale, complete with twinkle lights and chirping frogs. Simply heaven!

My husband and I enjoy Finnish country saunas for our date nights. Great way to relax and enjoy each others company.

A very good experience that I recommend to any visitors. My complaints are that there are few annoyances for locals. 1) the leftmost tub gets WAY hotter than the others and almost burns us when we get that one. 2) the rightmost tub has horrible glare from the setting sun if you go at the wrong time, and is kind of elevated and awkward.Otherwise, its a bit expensive to go weekly but still a great thing to have access to. Dont forget... Clothing optional! But only inside your changing room and tub area.

This place felt like being away in a different country or place, but in the middle of Arcata. Tub fit a party of 6. It was awesome experience. Quiet, relaxing, fun. Only thing that made me give out a star was the tinny changing room! If you are going in for this make sure you are ready to get in, before getting there, because if you got an hour to do it and six people to change at one time is going to take a while, unless if you wearing your birthday suit.

We went here at least once every couple of months for 3 years. We have never been disappointed by the service or the tubs. Cleanliness or otherwise. We are only sad to be moving away.
