I had a really good time with my husband enjoyed a truly beautiful sunset a bite of food a few drinks and some honestly enjoyable talented Band that loved what they do and so did we!!! The Tavern is a really nice place with a laid back vibe and breath taking views!

A beautiful rustic location on top of a hill. Huge courtyard with plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy an outdoor concert or show. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The sound system was well balanced and fine tuned. The bands Suave and Soto had everyone dancing in our seats. The food was delicious with generous servings. Drinks and beers were excellent and the prices were very reasonable.We totally recommend this beautiful location to everyone. We will difinlty be back.

Small and quaint hotel, very clean, comfortable beds, breath taking view of sunrise & sunset. Restaurant/Bar open on weekends, stores near by. Hidden gem in Apple Valley! Only negative is the lighting at night, needs more visibility to the rooms. This hotel has a western feel, dirt roads and desert views.

Went to see the tribute band Dead Mans Party (which were awesome!!) and sat outside in the garden area. Place has fantastic views of the area along with good food and great entertainment atmosphere! Coming back for more for sure.

The place was great, had an amazingly beautiful view sitting outside, food was good. Went there for a cover band which wasnt the Taverns fault the band was not that good. I expected the full 3-4hrs of songs from an known group but they sang maybe 4. I highly recommend visiting here a lot more just dont come on night when Aeromyth is there.

I hadnt been here for quite awhile (pandemic). We came to see and hear The Blue Henrys blues group. The back patio was filled with tables compared to the last time we were here. Entertainment was great as usual and it was nice to go out for live music.

Great location... had fun.... would have given 5 stars but they don’t make pina coladas... the bartender mentioned “they are too hard to make”. Ordered a margarita & it was lacking in flavor.The good part is that the rest of the service was great... overall we had fun.Hope on our next visit the bartender can make blended drinks.

The place has a very nice view of the valley. Plenty of seating and decent shows for High Desert Standards. Parking can be a problem and poorly lit. Dinner was on the expensive side considering the size of the portions.

My husband and I attended a concert on Sat night...way cool! The food was great and the show was fantastic! Cant wait to do it again!

I Attended the Oct 30th concert featuring the Foxy Deluxe band that opened for the headliners Oingo Boingo, Dead Mans Party. A traditional Halloween event for our family. It didnt disappoint! High energy, hot music, great holiday costumes, great food, drinks and a true party experience. Even with masks and covid 19 safety practices in place, people were really happy to be out and about in the wide open air with live music, friends and family! Both bands went hard and heavy with familiar music, old favorites and favorites that got us up out of our seats and dancing. My family alone represented 3 generations in attendance, so the music stands the test of time. We had a great time

The absolute best hotel in the whole high desert. The absolute best view from your back door. Employees are courteous and helpful. Its always quiet and serene here. The rooms are clean and comfy.

The only thing that did get me somewhat upset. I didnt pay to see Delta Shades. I never saw on the website that it was gonna be the opening act before Led Zepagain. Unless I miss that. But best performance was Led Zepagain was the best show ever

Had a great Valentines Day dinner except for my mistake of the horseradish sauce being extra sour cream . They were more than willing to get me a new potato with fresh sour cream on it. I asked for more sour cream and they brought it to me and told me that this definitely was sour cream so I didnt mess up again. Other than that incident of my own mistake, my wife and I enjoyed our meals and will return again next Valentines Day.

Decent place to stay if youre in Apple Valley. Looks like they are upgrading the rooms. The room we stayed in was beat up, but some of the other rooms looked updated. I would stay again. The view of the valley is beautiful and what you get for the price is very fair for the area.

While they offer grass fed Nebraska beef which should be excellent, it wasnt! So disappointed! As to why? For an early Saturday night, it wasnt yet busy. The T- bone wasnt as tender & favorable as it should have been, nor was the flavor of the prime rib. The salmon was skimpy & dry. Blue cheese dressing was good but thin. The well drinks were good. The atmosphere is rustic & has a view of the city lights but is noisy. Off-roaders in the bar are loud. They have a live band in outdoor seating, which may be good depending on the music & weather? They also have weddings/receptions but I cant imagine being on a dirt road to get there.

We went in last night for a nice dinner. We ordered the Prime Rib and burgers. The food was delicious and made to our order. We ended the night dancing. Love this place! They have great food, great service and its a great place with a beautiful view. Not happy to see a lady that was so drunk and rude and had to curse so much to the staff.

Chose this place because of the rating and the view. However, we were greatly disappointed. I think the rating has more to do with the restaurant and almost nothing to do with the rooms.Rooms were a throwback to the 60s and 70s. Very crude finish and uncomfortable bed, which felt clammy. Stayed awake all night because of the bed and the bug on the ceiling over the bed, plus a lot noise, loud voices outside or next door at 1 or 2 in the morning.The smoke alarm was opened and did not have any battery, and there was a large rough opening in the wall under the front window with a screen to the outside. I will include photo if I can.I would say the room was not worth half the 85.00 charged.Best thing here was the view and the restaurant. Avoid the substandard rooms.

We always have an AMAZING time when we go there. We have never been disappointed with the food and the service has always been outstanding even on the busiest of nights

Absolutly horrible service, after 3 hours tried to give us dessert and we never gotten our meal.... shorted our appatizer, salad was literally served on a 4 inch saucer.... had to get out own drinks from the bar... this place has major issues....still had to had to pay for our drinks... Ill never go back. It did do us a favor and save us the 80 dollar meal for 2 but ruined Valentines Day.... had to go to AppleBees to not be hungry....

We stayed at Hilltop for a June wedding. It was very nice! The rooms were a little small but man, the beds were comfortable!!!! Booking the room was a little complicated and required many phone calls, but the staff were friendly everytime and eventually we got it squared away. The views of Apple Valley were spectacular. Would definitely stay here again!

A complete let down. I had wanted to come out for the Prime Rib dinner for a very long time. My wife and I showed up dressed nice because it was a night out for our anniversary and we stood there for a few minutes just to be seated. It was not even busy when we got there. We literally waited for 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken at which we also ordered an appetizer. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for our dinner order to be taken. Call me a fool but I had really had my heart set on Prime Rib. If not for that I would have drank the beer and left. Mind you at this time we still had not received our appetizer. We ordered our dinner and probably another 20 minutes after that finally got our salad. Still no appetizer. I did manage to get a water during this time. All around us other people were arriving and getting served. A couple of Prime Rib plates went by and I thought if I ever get my food it should be amazing. Not the case after being there for over an hour we finally got our appetizer. Maybe 10 minutes after that we finally get our dinner. My wife ordered the cowgirl steak medium rare. It was well done and looked like it was run over by a truck on the way to the table. My Prime Rib that I had been craving was a far cry from prime rib also well done it was supposed to be medium. When. The waitress apologized for the meals she went to talk to the manager. The manager made no attempts whatsoever to come make things right or even apologize. Needless to say we paid for the appetizer and the two beers and we were on our way to Momma Carpinos. Hilltop has got to be my worst restaurant experience ever. I was so disappointed.

The best thing I can say for this place is that they have the most fantastic View! Their drinks are outrageously expensive and the staff wasnt overly friendly when I was there. They do have live bands which I enjoy and Im told they do karaoke but I havent been there for that. Its a long distance from my house and the last part is over rough dirt road so I rarely go here.

The view was awesome and got to meet $20 prophets. didnt get to buy drinks or try food. Plan to come back with my husband. Did have a great time

We attended The Hilltop for the Moonshine Bandits concert. What was so awesome besides the view at night is that it is like a backyard concert. Small but not too small. Everywhere you are is a good spot. Food smelled really good but we didnt eat. Had a bar. Nice feel. Nice drive up there. Just know that driving up there is a dirt road so pick the appropriate vehicle.

Great atmosphere. Surprised they use real chicken breast on their sandwiches which was fantastic. Id highly recommend going here for a great time.

Food was ok. The wait for our food was beyond unreasonable. We had 8 people at our table and had to wait over 45 minutes to get our meals. Salad was brought to table then had to wait at leat 5 minutes before we got any silverware. I only saw one waitress that was worth keeping. Others should either be trained properly or fired. Management should be ashamed at the poor service. If things are not fixed I see failure in their future.

My husband & I had to spend 3 nights here due to mold in our home. It was the perfect home away from home. We had a stove & oven. Small fridge, it was perfect! The room itself was clean & relaxing! Amazing AC! And overall it was super quiet! The manager is AMAZING! She made sure all our needs were met! And THE VIEW from your patio IS THE BEST especially at night️

My mother has brought me to this place many times and I enjoy my time, most of the time. However, it attracts people who dont know how to hold their liquor and I almost had a 65 man fall on me and then, he proceeded to start a fight. And it wasnt until the fight that they decided to kick him and his drunken friends out. They need security or they may lose most of their crowd. But other than that, its a nice establishment. Honestly.

Im extremely upset , This was a druggie place and I checked in and checked back out in 5 minutes , It was so dirty and the sheets had stains on them its was smelly , I have been a good client to you guys and spend lots of money , I demand my money back $91 , I had to go to another hotel due to this ,

Great food and awesome hostess, definitely need to try the chicken strips and the Rayburn burger and theres nothing like live music playing while you eat.

Ive only gone twice at night for drinks. The view is beautiful and one of the times we went there was an 80s theme night. They had a live band and fire pit also. The parking isnt the best but it didnt matter because we had a good time both nights.

Atmosphere was great! Unfortunately our waiter messed up and brought the wrong food. Then to top it off the manager gave our atm card to another customer. So we left with no card. She just gave my atm card away and said it was no big deal because he was a regular customer so it was ok. The employees there are to busy drinking instead of doing their job. And the food is over salted and gross.

Shana, who manages the hotel, is a godsend. We were having car trouble and we had to find a place to stay last minute. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Shana was so amazing. She brought us water and extra towels, checked in to see if we were okay (we were very stressed about our car), and even helped us find people to help us with our car problem. We are so grateful to The High Adobe, not just for providing a great place to stay, but also for going the extra mile to help us out.

This place is beyond awesome, Martin went out of his way to accommodate me on my last minute need for a nice place to stay while my uncle underwent surgery at st. Marys hospital. I do plan on returning and recommend this establishment. Not only is it clean, the staff is awesome, dont forget to enjoy the love music on Friday nights along with great food and drink.

Ill do 4 stars. The environment is great. Nothing beats the view and relaxed atmosphere.

Our experience was a complete let down. Came in to celebrate moms birthday with a birthday dinner. We ordered a steak dinner, steak salad and a tri tip sandwhich. After waiting for about 30 minutes and sitting next to a rowdy table full of drunk women we decided to move to the outside patio. At one point, after waiting almost 45 minutes, we asked our waitress if our food was going to be served anytime soon. Her reply was we have a small kitchen with one chef. Almost an hour later we were irritable and hungry so we decided to get up and leave. As soon as we were leaving we see our food about to be served. So we decided to sit back down and give it a try. Should have kept on going. The steak dinner was cold the tri-tip was also cold and the steak overcooked. The eggs served in the steak salad were dry and appeared to be old. The food at this establishment was beyond disappointing. Our advice would be to stick with simple and traditional bar food such as nachos, chicken wings, jalapeno peppers, etc. Or expand the kitchen and hire the appropriate staff needed to make this a legit Steakhouse. Best of luck, this place has good potential to be a legit Steakhouse to coincide with the incredible atmosphere it is surrounded by.

New food menu Friday to Sunday night is awesome. Great quality and reasonably priced. Theyre reopening the restaurant December 2017 with new management and a completely new menu. Im sure locals will love it, especially the Sunday Brunch and family style dinners they plan to offer on weekends. Great food, good friends and a great view, you cant go wrong.

The service was bad. Host sat us with no silverware had to ask. Was not told that there was a waffle bar on patio. Ordered coffee it came but no spoon. I had to ask for a spoon, salt and pepper. Every time we needed something we had to wave someone down. One waitress got angry and asked us where was our waitress. But, let me say the food was good but there were never enough plates. What a MOTHERS DAY.
