This place is awesome. As an avid supporter for expanding the game of golf, this place does it. Three par 3 courses which anyone at any skill level could play, plus a huge driving range. If you are thinking about getting started in golf or have a kid start, this is where you need to go. Golf is an expensive sport and Knights play is a place where you can learn cheap. Even though the course is not perfect, no one should expect it. The prices are nice and the staff helped me out with everything I needed.

What to say about knights play golf center? Its good! Its affordable and they keep a good (enough) facility for the piece you pay. If youre out on a weekend dont expect to fly through 18, it gets busy. Weeknight 9 is a great time under the lights. Fire!

Great/inexpensive option if you’re just looking to get a feel for your irons or want to play a quick 18. Greens look like the surface of the moon. My experience was good so I’d hate to give less than 4 stars but do not play if you care about your overall score or putting.. nobody fixes their divots.

Ive only been on the driving range so far. So as far as the driving range goes its great! $5 bucks for small bucket $9 for a large and if you spend $130 on a card you get a $180 worth of range balls. Most days half of the range is off natural grass the other half is off of matts. I havent play the course Ive heard its a pretty good executive course And during the summer are the range open till 11:00 p.m. I think the golf course is as well. So that tells you the golf course is lit up.

Simply cannot beat the price in this area for a round of golf. Perfect for anyone looking to get into golf or is a casual golfer. Playing under the lights at night is a fun experience. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they got us on the course quickly as we were willing to walk. They arent the most careful with mowing, some of the little hills have the grass cut too short. Grass in the tee boxes is almost non-existent. I guess theres just not a whole lot else to do in this COVID era so everyone is golfing.

Fun place to play on weeknights and practice your short game. The course is generally kept in good condition, although I would say the greens are normally below average, bumpy and slow. Lots of teenagers play here so the pace of play at times can be painfully slow. Ive had mixed experiences with the staff, some are friendly some are super rude, just depends on the night.

I played here for the first time on Saturday. I really enjoyed it and felt welcomed despite being a beginner . Tonight I went to play after work, I was nervous because there was a group of five behind me that let me and the person I was with go ahead of them, on the first hole and I had a bad first swing. The course attendant immediately came up and told the guy I was with (not even me) that we would need to “pick up the pace” literally on my second shot. In front of everyone. I was so humiliated. It was totally unnecessary.

Two of the Rudest pro shop attendants Ive ever come across. And Im from L.A. where lots more people are rude. I think one was the owner. Older gentleman. Asked for 2 rounds for my children at a junior rate pro shop attendants snidely replied, we dont have junior rates today as if I was supposed to know that. When I replied, sorry I wasnt aware of that he dryly responded, well Im telling you. Ive heard many stories of Southern Charm coming from the West Coast & there definitely was no Southern Charm here. Only gave it 2 stars since they have a million hitting stalls. Been there a few times & attitudes were very short then as well. Im shocked to see comments on here about how nice they are. Havent had a good experience yet.

Nice local executive golf course. The holes are mostly short. Many are around 100 yds. Not sure any are over 200 yards. The greens are slow and not in the best shape. There are a lot of ball repair marks on the greens. Some of the tee boxes were horrible, just crabgrass and soil. There are a few sand traps on the course that dont appear to be maintained well. Overall, its a good course for beginners wanting to learn the game. But if youre an avid golfer, you may want to look elsewhere.

Great place to go for lunch. They offer Lunch on the Range for only $9 which includes a tasty meal and a bucket of balls. The range is spacious and offers both grass and mats to hit from. Over crowded. They encourage tee times, but schedule one group on top of another. Regularly had 3 groups waiting at a tee. Greens were pock marked and some had large dead spots. For the money, I just dont see the appeal. $27 for 18 holes is comparable to many real courses in the area. It is a novelty to play under the lights, and late at night. Just dont come here expecting a decent round. There are other par 3 courses in the area, that are better maintained and more reasonably priced.

Every member of the staff thinks they work at a high end country club or something. Some of the most impolite and constantly annoyed people Ive ever interacted with in any type of service industry. I understand running the register at a fake golf course isnt what you wanted to do with your life when you were growing up, but at least take some pride in honest work. Also, the hours of operation are a joke - they do not stay open until midnight.

Review №62

For a last minute round, where you want to work on your irons, this is a great place to go. As others have commented about the quality of the tee boxes & greens...I think it has more to do with some of golfers not repairing divots than it does with the groundskeepers...hard to quickly recover the scarring that occurs when divots arent repaired immediately. And its great to be able to get in 9 holes at night when lit up....

Na
Review №63

The service here is substandard. The range is overpriced. For what you get, I think the golf is overpriced as well. All that said, I will likely come back because its one of the only par 3s around and Im not yet comfortable enough to go to a full on course. I do wish the staff were more friendly and I wouldnt be so reluctant to come back.

Theyre more interested in closing early so they can go home than they are in good customer service. This is evident from multiple reviews on here. The place is serviceable if youre local because there arent many other options. Its nice that theyre open late, but they dont seem to hold to those hours, so you cant really rely on it and they dont care if youve just paid. Seriously guys, just change your hours if you dont want to stay that late! Also, get new golf balls because about 20% of the range balls are garbage at this point (dead, completely worn out, or even just sliced open from the machine).

Sh
Review №75

Ive been playing here for a few years and Ive forgiven them for a lot of their faults like the terrible greens and tee boxes because knights play was cheap and relaxed. Now they have inflated the price to $17 for 9 holes and a cart. That is incredibly overpriced for what you are receiving. A round of 18 is about $27 per person + cart while a round of 18 at Lochmere Golf Course is $34 per person + cart. When you really think about it are the sandy tee boxes, lumpy greens, rocky bunkers, and terrible customer service really worth that $7 less? Now, Ive realized that Im not apart of their management team and I dont know what is going on economically behind closed doors but Im also not the only one whos written reviews like this for knights play. Me and a lot of other people wouldnt mind paying a little extra for a nice course to play on but if you start entering the price range of real golf courses without the same quality then we wont be happy. I doubt that any knights play employee will read this review but my question is what type of golf course do you want to be? Do you want to be relaxed with sub par qualities and low prices or do you want to be a real course with high prices and high qualities?

We were there for a team outing for about 28 . They had our carts lined up and once we paid we were able to go enjoy the day inspite of warm, humid and cloudiness with heavy rains in forecast for the latter part of the day. We played 9 holes. The courses are decent and maintained well. The carts were old but ran smooth up and down the hills with the brakes working well. They always have some loaner clubs available which was helpful for folks who did not bring their own and were free of charge. Also have a punch card system which will earn a free entry after buying 10.

Been going here for years. Knightsplay is the epitome of a venue in which your experience is dictated by expectations. The fairways and greens are decent at their very best, and much more frequently significantly below average. But its cheap, convenient, not normally too crowded, and laid back. All in all, a great low stress par 3 course either to learn the game, get in a quick practice round, or have fun with friends

My brother and I have gone to Knights play multiple times, and when I say multiple times... I mean multiple times. All but once weve gone late after work. Weve always gone at the same time. We have even called ahead to let them know we would be getting there late. They said it was fine and that we should be able to play. That as long as we got there before 10 PM, we should be able to play, cut off is 10 PM for 9 holes. So, we are able to get there at 9:30 PM every time. I understand its a late time, but if you say its OK... then let us play. No, last 2 times weve gone there they keep telling us that they have cut off play. So, tonight was our last night and we tried the same thing and the same happened. So we are definitely not going there anymore. I guess our money is not good enough for them. Somewhere else we go. The place is fun, but the staff and the way things are done sucks.

The grass area is always in terrible shape. It’s more like hitting on sand. Also, the balls are so worn down that there are very virtually no dimples. Therefore you ball won’t travel nearly as far as it would with good balls. Not a good place to test out new clubs.
