Mississippi Park is a wonderful park. Great place to visit. I went here recently to take family photos, and we got so many great pictures all over the park. Theres so much to do here, Theres a volleyball net, baseball fields, jungle gyms, picnic tables, A small dock area down by the river. Beautiful park, very clean, ( Ive seen parks that the grass was long, and trash on tables) Id say you should go to this park.

Beautiful, tree covered park along the Mississippi River. Wonderful walking trails with picnic areas at riverside. Its not a very busy park, which is a shame, but that means it is a serenely peaceful park. My experience this last week indicated it will be easy to find a bench by the river to sit quietly, or to read, and just let lifes stress melt away with the current.

Good small park for kids and walking. Playground, basketball hoop, sanded volleyball net, horseshoe area (bring your own horseshoes), BBQ pits, fishing dock and paved trails into the wooded areas with off-path trails that lead to the river. The park also seems to be well maintained.

One of the best parks in the Anoka area! Great view of the River. Has a fishing dock, a play area for you get kids, and great trails. Honestly walking through the woods I was almost expecting a gnome or an elf to pop out. If you live in the Anoka area give it a look.

Rarely crowded, always nice. GREAT for catfishing and nature lovers. Many whitetail deer, bald headed eagles, softshell, snapping and painted turtles. Beautiful sunsets. Serene, but close enough to civilization to go get a soda or fast food in under 10 min.

This is a great park to visit. It makes mind refreshing you have so many options here for family outing . You can setup barbecue have bike riding go on for jogging play basketball and much more . The place is really chilled except you need mosquito repellent. There are varieties of trees here and they resemble and give you nice feeling of into the woods. You have nice path way which is decent for walk. My personal visit was wonderful it made my day actually you get distressed as I started to dog walk and then soon I was reading my favorite novel near the lake. With some light snacks made it really interesting. It is nice to visit when it’s weather is pretty chilled as you don’t feel much heat. Mississippi River community has really done this fantastic job of maintaining it specially the caben has added beauty to it as you can sit and watch the lake view. From the Minneapolis it’s like 30 min of drive. If someone is nature lover then One must visit this park it is worth it. Specially during the summer. As in winter it would be very cold but still the view would be mesmerizing.

A recent addition to the Mississippi River Regional Trail system (2015-2016), the Mississippi River Community Park & Kings Island park connects Anoke and Ramsey and takes you through Kings Island and Mississippi River Community Park following on a pedestrian/biker path allowing access to the Rum River, Akin Riverside Park, and Champlin. There are MRT trail routes on both the Anoka County and Hennepin County sides of the Mississippi River. This sections incorporates a wooded flood plain area and passive recreation with 2 miles of paved trails and natural prairie flower areas. Theres a playground for kids and features picnic shelters with cooking grills, concession stand, volleyball court, basketball court, river access, and places for fishing/hunting. Great for a ride, walk, kids, picnics, hunting, fishing, and more!

Beautiful park on the river. We rented the concession stand and the pavilion. Very reasonably priced and was able to arrange everything over the phone. East access parking only steps away. The playground for the kids was very nice and kept up well. This place is great for anything from a family reunion to a kids birthday party.
