A hidden gem of the cities! Larry is so wonderful and patient with the kids. It is one of the few things that got us through COVID this summer. We love art in the park and the online classes. Everyone should check this place out!

Rumriver Art Center has been a welcoming life line during this unprecedented time. One of very few Art Centers to offer quality engaging virtual classes taught by knowledgeable and skilled artists of their craft. A broad range of mediums offered for kids to adults of all skill levels. I commend the art centers team’s dedication and foresight in recognizing the need within their community and the world for virtual art classes. The majority of US art centers and councils cancelled classes until further notice. Not Rumriver! The way we live ours lives has changed and they embraced the change and went virtual with their classes. My daughter loves art and RRAC has provided her with instruction and inspiration. The most recent class she took was on-line. She is pretty skeptical of on-line classes, but its art, which she loves, so I thought I would give it a try.She created three pieces of beautiful artwork in an hour and was delighted. I loved it so much, I asked her to teach me, which also reinforced her learning. I love my artwork, too!This class sparked a lot of joy in my daughter, which is the best gift I could ask for. Thank you!

Rumriver Art Center helped me with putting together a virtual drawing class for my coworkers. The organization and level of professionalism they have is awesome. We all loved the class (taught by Mike) and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a lot of fun and Mike did a great job in explaining each step. If we have another virtual drawing class we want to have in the future, we will fo sure go with Rumriver!

If you think you don’t have an artistic bone in your body, check out this place. Everyone on staff is most welcoming and encouraging. You will find yourself becoming more confident and enjoying creating art.

Quality 501{c}3 art which encourages ones exploration of art expression, easy to interact with, supportive for persons of all ages, including very young and families. Center/community org worth being a sustainer of financial support for. Good place to find unique gifts. FUN.

I have taken several virtual classes in watercolors & drawing & have enjoyed them. These classes have all been free! Most classes are for any age so you get the opportunity to learn skills. Try one!

Would give 10 stars if I could. This is the first google review I’ve ever left and felt compelled because this is just such an amazing place for in person or virtual classes for families/kids/etc. My family always leaves feeling accomplished, refreshed and that we have learned many new things...both artistic skills as well as art history. I’ve not found anything else like it and we drive 30 miles to attend a class when we can.

Rum River Art Center is a wonderful place to learn new art techniques. The instructors are easy to understand and follow along with virtual online classes. I would highly recommend RRAC!

Great virtual art classes that have helped keep me sane throughout this Covid pandemic! I’ll forever be grateful to RRAC for continually scheduling these courses free of charge and providing a great opportunity to let the creativity flow!

My kids love taking classes here. The teachers are engaging and talented. Learning how to throw pottery has been a lot of fun. They have also improved their drawing skills, and are already talking about what they want to sign up for next!

Love this place. I hadn’t painted in years and now I’m in the plain air group and I love it. Such a encouraging group.

Excellent virtual art classes!

What a great place! Our kids got to attend the Kids Art Night last night and all had a fantastic time! Great instruction, super cute projects and a date night for the parents. All around win. We will definitely be back!

Amazing for kids who love art or even if they dont!My older 4 kids have taken a combined 19 years of classes from Larry. My oldest is not naturally artistic, but loves Larrys class and has made some amazing pieces over the years. His younger sisters love art and Larrys classes too. They cant wait to sign up for summer camp again!

My daughter recently went to a birthday party here - man, these guys were amazing! The instructor was great with the huge room of kids - they were all scribbling and painting away. I love that he gave just enough direction so that they knew how they could attack the project, but let them go off in what ever direction they wanted to. My daughter keeps talking about the party and wants to have her birthday there.
