Wonderful. They were very accommodating. Tons of lanes with no wait. I was hoping to find a great place to swim and this is it. Showers and 50cent lockers if you want to lock your stuff up or you are welcome to take your things out to the pool with you. No towel service that I saw but who cares. Just bring your towel. $6 to just walk in. Very reasonable if you ask me. Cheaper if you buy passes or a year membership. Free parking with lots of spots. Plus you are supporting the school. It looks like they employ the students.

I paid for pool time as part of a first-time class I was attending. However, after being informed that the swim gear was not available, I left the premises. Since Id only been at the facility for about 10 minutes, and never even removed my street clothing, I asked for a refund. I was then given a request form to complete for the refund, and was told that I would be contacted within one week. Thus far, more than one month has passed and Ive not received a refund, nor have I been contacted.Such poor customer service has certainly motivated me to look elsewhere for my swimming practices.

Though the inner wall of the pool needs deep maintenance, the pool was very clean and not busy at all. I even had a lane just for myself! Recommended for those who cant miss the pool even if traveling. Good service and low prices. Of course dont expect the perfect Olympic facility as its not.

What a great asset to the community. Well kept, clean and safe. There are numerous lanes, a diving board and a shallow end fornthe wee ones. The deep end goes to 13 feet. Changing rooms and showers on the premises as well as multiple breakout classrooms. There is also an upper deck viewing area for watching swim meets.

This place deserve zero, I hate to use a race card but I was racially harassed in this place today. First my daughter swim team practice in this place sometimes during this time. So, as I was washing my son’s hand after he uses the bathroom in the locker room with my daughter and one of the employee walked toward me and asked me how old is my son and I told her three years old and she has audacity to tell me am I sure, I said yes and she said he looked older than his age and told me that a woman report to her that he is uncomfortable around my son (three years old son). I can’t believed it. My son is very friendly and I remember he said hi to an old Caucasian woman on our way to the bathroom. I was livid and asked her for the supervisor, I can’t believe that the dumb supervisor told me I can’t take my son with me to the locker room. Mind you, this place suppose to be family friendly. The woman who complain is Caucasian, the supervisor was a Caucasian and the lady approach us in the bathroom was a caucasian. I am so disappointed in this place. The lady who approach us in the bathroom end up apologize, if not this place will get a letter from my lawyer. My poor son asked me “ mom why do she said I am not three, I am three years old! Can you imagine the conversation I have with my innocent son. It is so sad the world we lived in because people around u don’t look like u makes u uncomfortable.

The photos are from a swim meet. Whats not shown is the water park where kids can play. There are slides and lots of shallow water toys that are great for really young kids, too older age kids. Adults will even find it fun.

As a spectator there in the summer for my sons swim lessons, its very hot and humid like a sauna on the swim deck, you will sweat sitting still. It definitely could use some renovations.....on the bright side its not too expensive.

One of the few lap pools available to the public in the greater Annapolis area. Prices seem reasonable for daily, monthly and annual passes. Showers are beyond terrible, though, if youre larger than the average 12 year old. I thought about swimming in the early morning then heading straight to work, but the showers are so bad I dont see that as a possibility. Ill have to go home first to get the chlorine off.

Open till 6 on Sundays! Great exercise for the kids and just $4 for kids. Plenty of room for laps, or just letting the kids play. You can even get a swim pass for the year. Plenty of classes and both group and individual lessons. Birthday parties can be hosted here too.

The pool itself is very nice and the staff does a great job of keeping it clean! The location is great for me because I can stop on my way home from work. My biggest gripe with this pool is that its one of only two Anne Arundel County pools that I know of and at least half of it is reserved for swim teams around 3 pm, when its most convenient for me to get there. During the Winter months the public gets to fight over anywhere from 2-5 lanes, depending on how many school swim teams are taking up the rest of the lanes. So, if youre lucky to get a lane then its a nice pool to swim in.

Why would a nice, big, olympic-size pool close at 4 p.m. on a Saturday in the summer when its 95 degrees out and stays daylight until 8:45? This is the only public pool in Annapolis. JUST BAD MANAGEMENT I GUESS. I give it one star for being a nice pool when you can catch it open.

Best place to take your child to learn how to swim. Aalisa Thoms is not only an instructor with the swim center she offers private lessons.she is a great instructor she actually taught my son how to swim she also does lessons for adults as well. The Swim Center also offers exercise classes for adults fairly reasonable priced..

25 yard lanes, but there are plenty of them and you can generally get 1/2 to a full lane morning through midday, and then late evening (after 7:30 pm). Water temp can be on the cool (but not cold) side. Water is consistently clean, guards are nice and actually pay attention. Can get super crowded with kids at busy times.

Review №30

This facility is really fantastic, clean, courteous,& professional. I believe, like with most other places, that the skill level and talent of the instructors varies, but they are all very good. The reason I give this place a 3 is that the water is very very cold, and have seen some children shivering with lips slightly blue. Perhaps theres a technical reason why a pool like this should be kept very cold, but as it offers childrens classes, knowing that the kids will sit on the edge of the pool while wet, just doesnt seem healthy. Also, they dont offer infant to toddler aged classes because a child must be potty-trained before it can take classes. The hours and prices are good, the facility very nice, and generally a pleasant place, Im actively looking for a more kid friendly pool.

I came to this facility at 3:14pm and they said we would have to wait 30 minutes to get in the water.. 35 minutes later they said we would have to wait until 4:30. By the time 4:30 came they said its only adults swim. Just to say that we overall couldnt swim. All of the staff members are lounging around playing. When instead they shouldve just said we wouldnt be able to get in the pool instead of letting us sit for over an hour.

The pool is pretty big, however after buying the family pass i have been to the pool during the week after work in the evening after 6. During this time a lot of swim meets and swimming lessons leave you to a small fraction of the shallow end and even the kiddie pool at times. I asked when the deep end would be open and was told Monday thru Thursday has swim meets. I plan to come on the weekend on Sunday only to find Scuba lessons going on until 2. Great, I wait til 2 and get the kids over for less than 10 min to be told that deep end is for diving board only. My son could pass the required swim test to use the diving board however does not want to use the diving boards. Seems to be alot of rules depending on which life guard is on duty. For a public pool that is not free it appears to be run like a business where profit is there main focus and not a pool for the general public to enjoy and get relief from the summer heat.

Unimpressed with one particular life guard. He always is giving kids an unnecessary hard time. He has had it out for me since I complained about how he almost let my daughter drown. Luckily my eyes are on her as well. Us parents are not the ones trained to save. Ill just say this he is balding lightskinned and has the meanest look on his face. And also charge for the parent even though the parent isnt the one that will be swimming. Save your money, wait until the outdoor pool opens at truxton. Or go to the pool in glen burnie

Da
Review №51

Dont bother to go during swim team times. Thats the priority and theres no room for anyone else. Also, there were literally dozens of kids (even a few boys) between the ages of 5-12 in the Womens locker room. Thats just a law suit or a fist fight waiting to happen. Parents should not have their children changing in front of grown strangers who are also naked. Its bizarre, strange, and inappropriate. I dont think we would go back. The desk staff was overwhelmed and the facility cannot accommodate the number of people it tries to. For the love of God, have a larger family changing space.

Went there for a swim meet. The crowd control was minimal to almost none except for the viewing area. They should guide the parents to the waiting area when their children are not swimming the event so that other parents can watch their children. Doesnt really help that the waiting area is really small. I dont think we will be returning to this meet.
