Ive been coming here since I was a child. Charming path in the woods for walking, biking, jogging etc. There is a wonderful little pond full of frogs, fish and turtles. I sunburn easily so its a great way to stay in the shade as you exercise. There is a fun creek and puddles full of wildlife. So many neat things to explore with children. We enjoy the playground, the newly paved path, and the new picnic pavilion! They may need to add another trash can and a recycling bin.

Nothing much to really see. Lots of people and bikes on the trail. You can see the hawks flying high overhead. Not much wildlife but the path is paved and flat so its very easy to walk. No mud but there are puddles of water after the rain.

A nice quiet little park. Picnic tables, and play equipment for the kids. A walking, biking trail runs right through the center. Plenty of parking. Makes for a great day!

Serene little out-of-the-way park with nice baseball fields and tennis courts and plenty of space to explore. A wonderful multi-use trail runs through the park along Accotink Creek, which is part of the Gerry Connelly Cross Country Trail. It makes for some great exploring, and is a great place for a long or short bike ride. There are sand volleyball courts with posts, but you have to bring your own net. One picnic shelter stands a short distance from the parking lot. There is not much here in the way of facilities, but it definitely works well as a place to find your zen.

You need to check out Eakin Community Park. It is a great spot. I find it hard to believe you never heard of it in case you are local. There are other options in the area, so you can accomplish few things the same day.

We call this our muddy park. We love the creatures & adventures this little park awards us- and tiny trails leading down to the water where we can toss rocks. My toddler and I have spent hours upon hours here. It’s not much to look at when you first arrive, but given time to explore, it’s definitely a diamond in the rough.

I pass through this park regularly on my morning commute along the CCT. Has a small playground, parking for 10 or so vehicles, and a couple picnic tables. Nice spot to park for the trail, but traffic on Prosperity is very busy during rush hour.

Wonderful place for a walk. Friendly people abound plus friendly dogs (on leash). Popular but never overly crowded. Ball fields, tennis and volleyball ball pits draw people during warmer months but the place is great anytime of the year except after heavy rains when waterproof shoes or boots are a must for certain sections. Part of Fairfax Countys Cross County Trail, you can walk or bike for miles.

A favorite local park for me and my family. There is also Accotink trail access from this park. Pedestrian and bike friendly, however if its been raining it can be a muddy mess back there. Happy trailing!

This is a quaint little community park for Mantua. This park doesnt have fancy equipment nor massive grounds but it is exactly what our family needs. A large picnic area, basketball hoops, a couple jungle gyms, tennis, baseball field, and walking trails. Its never over loaded and that makes it, just like the community itself, perfect for us.

Su

While the setting is quite nice, surrounded by trees, this park needs some serious upgrades, especially the play area. The play structures are nice in size and variety, but have really aged and are bleached from the sun. The one riding toy in the tot lot is metal. Not exactly ideal, especially since its not fully shaded. The slides, especially in the tot lot bottom out over a foot above the ground, not the safest for small kids barely larger than that.

Even though some parts of the bike trail may need repair, the park, with the trail, ball fields, and playground on Prosperity Avenue, is a great place to ride a bike or take a walk.Great access to the Camelot neighborhood and Mill Creek Park, as well as Pickett Road, Old Lee Highway, Lee Highway, Thaiss Park, Woodburn Road, King Arthur Road, Little River Turnpike, Americana Park, and the mountain biking trails beyond. I would definitely use this to get from the Braddock Road area up to the W&OD and Vienna area, which gives you access to all of Northern Virginia. Clearly a great asset.
