On old yet comfortable theater with handicap seating. The walls are poured concrete and carpeting is well worn. Place could use new carpeting. Restrooms lower level accessed by stars. Not sure If there is an elevator. Parking covered close by. Great performances by the University here. Just saw La Boheme and it was amazing.

The Power Center (for the Performing Arts) at the University of Michigan is a facility that was built back in 1971. The auditorium itself is designed to offer most seats an unobstructed view of the stage (rows are significantly raked), but access is quite limited to those with mobility restrictions.I have performed there numerous times and found the stage quite expansive and backstage facilities and dressing rooms adequate. My consistent complaint (both as an audience patron and an actor) is the rude, obstinate, mean, and nasty attitude of of the Power Centers box office and ushering staff. Not the best first impression for your guests!U of M, you can do better! Although you are the largest venue, you are not the only game in town.

The Power Center is an excellent mid-sized venue for all types of theatrical performances. We have had the season subscription for several years and enjoy the productions very much. Prices are quite reasonable and you get to see some of the finest up-and-coming talent before they make their marks on Broadway, Hollywood, and around the world. Talent and production quality is top notch. Hard to think that theres a bad seat in the house. If youre within an hour of Ann Arbor, its a great opportunity to take in great theater / musical / opera / dance events at bargain prices. (Parking is easy too, right next door at the Fletcher street garage.)

Saw Mary Poppins. The center is very comfortable with great site lines. My 4 year old granddaughter had no problem seeing the stage even though she was sitting behind an adult.

This is great place to see a show. I may be biased because I think we have the best seats in the theater. I should take half a star off because the restrooms arent very convenient.

Attended a Madeline Peyroux concert here in June. Only slightly difficult to find the building/parking structure. Small, intimate venue. Im 53 and felt the seats a bit small and uncomfortable. My partner is 60 and was fortunate to have an aisle seat. Sound quality was good.

There are no bad seats in this theater. Parking in the adjacent structure means you can easily drive to it and enter in bad weather without rain gear, etc. The seating is much more comfortable than the the stately and refurbished Hill Auditorium concert hall. It is used primarily for small concerts and theatrical performances. It does have relatively limited bathroom facilities for its size.

I have been to 2 performances here now and enjoyed both of them. The auditorium is large and both times I sat in the balcony. The seat setup can be a little confusing but there are ushers everywhere that are there to help you if need be. I also appreciate a large variety of performances take place here

This more modern than most University of Michigan performance venues, is comfortable and seats around 1300. Mostly, its a great place to see a performance. Unfortunately, a couple of design aspects could have been better thought about: 1} the two outer sections of seating in the balcony and main floor have poor sight lines, allowing views into the wings. 2} No elevator to the balcony or accessible balcony seating.

Great shows in a great environment. They should move away from cash only parking, however. Its a shame that in this day and age the University still isnt able to figure our how to run a card for an event.

Rock n Roll shows should have an option for alcohol. This was a dry show and nobody was aware of that untill we arrived at the show.

Love to watch shows here. The seating is unnecessarily confusing. You enter odd seat numbers from house right and even seat numbers from house left. For example, consecutive seats in the center are 9, 11, 13, 12, 10. Great theater with confusing layout.

Hail beautiful building....opened 1971....fast forward...2.10.2018...beautiful Febuary evening in Ann Arbor.....a fluttering of fresh lite giant snowflakes ...lots of people bundled up warm against the temps.....opaque shafts of light shimmering through the night . The giant snowflakes capture the light and float along. A sweet air of change and optimistic future permiates everywhere. Pause...stand still....observe...concentrate....see it....feel it...drink it in......continue on refreshed.

We got our windows installed a few days ago. Our house is old and had a lot of problems. One of our biggest problems is that we had air coming though all our windows and could hear all the cars driving down the street. Power windows came in installed all our windows. We no longer have drafts of air and we cant hear the cars driving by. The installers were very professional and cared about our wellbeing. I would recommend this company to anyone.
