My husband and I really enjoyed our time at the Stone Chalet. We stayed in the lovely Ada room. We enjoyed the bathtub and the fireplace immensely. It was a warm and cozy room. We also enjoyed the absence of a TV despite thinking we wouldnt. Instead of mindlessly watching TV, we enjoyed quiet conversation and each others company.

We drove up to Ann Arbor Michigan and arrived after an 8 1/2 hour drive. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, relaxing, accommodating nights stay. Jasmine, the innkeeper was thoughtful, friendly, and served a wonderful breakfast. We stayed in the courtyard room it was very comfortable and made for a great stay. Thank you Jasmine!

We could not have asked for a better host (JAKE! the Inn Keeper) or venue for our couples getaway with our church. This was our 2nd time hosting with them, and could not leave a better review. From the special touches Jake provided for our retreat, the cooking class he hosted, and the lovely ambience throughout the venue, this retreat was beyond what we could have hoped! A local gem + must experience for yourself!!!!! Cannot say enough good things!!!!

Our stay at Stone Chalet was wonderful and so conveniently located. The old house itself has been beautifully restored, and the grounds are lush and green with many places to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The room was large and comfortable with plenty of atmosphere--gas fireplace, four poster bed, good reading chairs. Our hosts couldnt have been more helpful and cordial. They helped with luggage, suggested a wonderful nearby restaurant and cooked us an ample breakfast. In short, this is my kind of lodging. I loved it!

First and foremost Mike and Andrea were terrific !! They were knowledgeable, attentive and very kind. The building itself is breathtaking. It feels like you stepped back in time. The beds were comfy, breakfast was delicious and overall it truly felt like I was in my own home. (comfortability wise, not looks...if only) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Stone Chalet hit all the marks for a delightful stay in Ann Arbor. The inn has been beautifully maintained and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served promptly and the perfect way to start the day. We were in town to watch a U of M football game, so we were able to enjoy a forty minute stroll over the the stadium, skipping the traffic and long lines for the shuttle buses. Next time we are in Ann Arbor, we shall check Stone Chalet first!

The Stone Chalet was the IDEAL location for our 30 person wedding! The garden gazebo was a stunning background for our ceremony space and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Dinner was served flawlessly and Andrea and Mike were present and helpful throughout the entire event. My guests were wowed by the elegant beauty of the landscaping and architecture and the staff helped make our day absolutely perfect. We stayed over in a suite which was clean, beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. I highly recommend the Stone Chalet for a stress free intimate wedding venue or just a uniquely beautiful overnight stay in Ann Arbor.

We, Palm Palace, recently catered a wedding at Stone Chalet. We can’t express how gorgeous that venue was. From the hospitality, to the elegance in their decor, and their welcoming smiles, made every guest feel at home. Mike & Andrea are notorious for their warmth and professionalism in event planning. The event that we attended was extraordinary and out of this world. Thank you for the business and for running such a wonderful operation. We are looking forward for the next remarkable event.

Lovely place to stay, fabulous venue for concert, the rooms are absolutely perfect, so are the hosts! That morning at breakfast, I had a horrible migraine and the normal accompanied upset stomach, I wandered down to the kitchen very early to seek out a strong cup of extra hot caffeinated beverage (which normally helps nip the migraine in the bud) hours later when check out time came, it was clear that I needed to keep sleeping, warm, and just wait it out. The hostess was so understanding and said just stay put. In a couple hours the medication had worked its magic ( somewhat) and I got up for the third time that day and finally departed. I do know that the rooms are all lovely, they were all empty and spotlessly clean when we were leaving. I do hope to return again and not have a migraine to deal with so I can enjoy the beautiful grounds just a bit more!

We really enjoyed staying at the Stone Chalet. The breakfast was amazing, the amenities were good, it was super convenient to the school and the inn keepers were really friendly/helpful. I would not recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone. It was an unwelcoming, inhospitable place. You were on your own to find your room. There was no innkeeper unless you scheduled your arrival between 4 and 6PM. Instead, you received an email directing you how to unlock the electronic door and directions to find your room. The room was unlocked when you arrived. You are on your own for parking and luggage. The two breakfast I had there were poor. The French toast on the first morning was so hard that I needed a knife to cut through it. The second morning, the pancakes were ice cold and hard. The toast was also stale and hard.A bed and breakfast is usually a cheerful welcoming place. There was nothing cheerful or welcoming about this inn.

I cant say enough about this venue for an event up to 100 people. Its stunning. Its completely reasonably priced. It is, hands down, the best kept secret in Ann Arbor. We held our Vow Renewal and Reception in the event center and it was everything we wanted and more. Its an art - deco-decked - out lounge with banquet room, complete with a gorgeous piano for use with rental. The acoustics are phenominal. Sound system included. Now...the STAFF: You wont find a more attentive Operations and Event Manager. By the end of the event, all of my guests wanted to add him to the family. There was no detail overlooked. Very comfortable stay. The beautiful stone and woodwork in the restored Parsonage made this a memorable alternative to the standard chain hotel, but the room had all the amenities that you would expect from the better of the more predictable places, including a temperpedic mattress, enormous bathroom with separate shower and clawfoot tub, and complementary soaps and lotions. In addition, there was the made-to-order breakfast in a cheerful and elegant dining room with sun streaming through lead-glass windows. Also, for animal lovers, there is a resident cat and dog, both very sweet. We were sorry we only booked one night!

Funky with lots of character. Bed was super comfortable and updated bathroom & shower were great. Many beautiful outdoor areas. Breakfast was poor — cold, discombobulated, and not very tasty. Really interesting house/structure, but we didn’t get much of a tour, there was not really a common area to hang out in, and much of the place seemed off limits. Concerning that management responds to criticisms in reviews with arguments about why the reviewer is wrong. A real turn off. For example, when multiple guests say the breakfast was cold, the only appropriate response is thank you for letting us know; we will correct that right away.

This is a very romantic Bed and Breakfast. The original building is from the early 1900s, and the furniture evokes the period while still being comfortable in the current century. Its a breath of fresh air from the normal cookie-cutter hotel experience.Note: I was not a well-planned traveler, so I am glad this experience worked out well. Reputable businesses dont lie, they dont charge people $265 for staying 15 minutes, and they dont advertise on their websites services / features they dont provide!
