The staff was friendly and welcoming. They tried their best to work with what they had.A shell of its former self, the Potawatomi Inn must have been something, before electricity.Dreadfully outdated with a hodge podge of scrapped over furniture, stained sheets, walls and floors our tranquility fled as fear filled the gaping wound of shock and awe.To bring this review up from the negative I borrowed a few stars from the following review of the grounds, setting and employees. Stunning views, trails and woods form a spectacular backdrop of this hotel of yesteryear.A sparkling light glistens off of the lake, docks, a fire pit and children played my on the lawn raise the expectations for a night of rest and fine dining. In all honesty we cannot say enough good about the staff. Friendly and caring they treated us and our concerns cheerfully and respectfully. After the first room with stained sheets, ants and a random flying bug we asked for another room. For the first time in our lives, we chose to ask for a refund. Alas this room as well had stained sheets, missing knobs from the furniture and unkept walls and sinks. At nearly $150 a night this hotel should be no more.In the end they gave us a full refund. The staff is stunning, the state however, gave them a soiled and beaten deck to deal with.Paddle away from this one.
Beautiful Inn. We had great accommodations. Would be a 5 star if the beds were more comfortable! Loved it and will go back.
We stayed 2 nights and loved it. Our room was clean and the food was wonderful. The staff bent over backwards to help in anyway we ask. Our family has enjoyed this place for many years. and We will be going back for many more. No issues here
Positive: Its like a mini vacation. Best place for the price. Sooooo much to do
A Very Historic Inn inside Pokagon State Park on James River. Many Additions were added over the years. A Very Popular Inn for All Ages including Families. You can hike or bike the many trails. You can also go swimming on the Beach or inside the Inn on the bottom Floor. There is also a Bslcony with tables and Chairs to just ralax.
Beautiful place for a wedding! Our son and daughter-in-law fell in love with Pokagon State Park and the Potawatomi Inn one Valentines day, and wanted to be married there. The Inn sits on a hill overlooking Lake James, and the Park offers hiking trails, boat rentals, horse back riding, and just a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy. The wedding was August 1, 2020, and it turned out beautifully, much of that was due to the Inn staff. We were so pleased with the upbeat and positive attitudes of all of the people that we interacted with at the Potawatomi Inn. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were in constant communication on every detail for several months, which was especially important as we navigated planning a wedding during a pandemic. Taylor in the Sales office was so organized, and she made sure we were on track with planning every step of the way. We had the rehearsal dinner in the Wigwam room at the Inn, which is a cozy historic room of brick with a fireplace. The dinner was excellent! The chef, Johnny, and the bar staff, Elizabeth, were a joy to be around for the whole family. The wedding ceremony was planned on the Sundeck, but it rained, so we just moved it to the Lake James room where the reception was planned, and it was all beautiful. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a wedding venue to consider the Potawatomi Inn as an option. Our guests stayed at the Inn, and once they arrived, they didnt need to drive anywhere else for the entire event. This was especially important for our out-of-state family members, and they were very grateful!
Older hotel, but nice. Clean and homey. Very considerate staff, especially the young man who checked us in. Beyond polite and so very helpful.
Great place to visit. So many things to do here. Rooms were very small. We booked a double room thinking that meant two beds. It wasnt. Three people in a full size bed️. Everything was clean except for the air conditioning unit on the ceiling. Dirty all around it. Restaurant food was great, expensive, but great. We are coming back next year.
What a good place to be with your family, friends or even just as a couple. You could easily spend a week there. They have a good variety of rooms. They have regular hotel rooms, cabins for families, some for just two but each with a nice patio thats right on the lawn so you can come and go easily. There are rooms in the main inn also that are larger to cater to families. Its a very clean place. From the rooms to the public areas. And very friendly! All the staff have really good attitudes. They were fully booked and so busy. But we were always greeted with a smile and a then after with a Have a good day whether it was a person cleaning or the front desk staff.Being in a state park, there is SO much to do! Horseback riding (for a fee), hiking trails galore, bike paths and walking paths all the way into town. Theres a playground, nice beach and swim area. For getting out on the water you can rent paddle boats, stand up paddle boards, canoes, kayak, small fishing boats, pontoons and ski boats. Be sure to ask about them before you arrive. They have an indoor pool too with a hot tub and sauna. There is a big grassy knoll to run and play. A fire pit is available. Like volleyball? They have two sand courts. There is a Nature Center with activities. In the winter they have a Toboggan run! (Wish they had summer sleds alpine slide-like for it! ) There are several places for quiet relaxing as well. Love the view from the hallway by the diningroom and the big room there. Very comfy couches and chairs for a more secluded chat or just reading. They have a restaurant that serves all day. They also have a cafe that has good pizza, nachos and such, snacks, and ice cream.(Wish there were more picnic tables by the beach. Also more benches around the in the grass. They need more tables on the patio outside the cafe. They also need to put up a big fabric shade triangle or two, over them. The trees provide a little shade but only in the morning and evening. And not over the tables out there.)We cant leave out the town of Angola. We cant say enough about how great, and close, it is! ️ There is something for everyone right there! Outlets for shopping just minutes from the inn. There are a handful of antique shops in town and right down the road! Saw at least one spa. We played putt-putt/mini golf. Walmart, Meijer and Menards and several restaurants are just minutes away.Be sure to venture into town and check out the great local ice cream places and try one of the breakfast places! (And as a extra tip -- our coffee lovers highly recommend getting coffee at Five Lakes Coffee in town. For me their mango smoothies are IT )
Where to even begin, first they lie about the bed size. They charge for queen size but give you full. Second the rooms have dead bugs, they give you the lowest quality everything. The food is way overpriced and cheap quality small. They sell off their parking for events leaving people that are actually staying there without places to park and they could care less when you talk to the front desk. For the kind of money you spend you can expect motel 6 quality. Rude, wrong and not worth it.
Lovely spot for a Wintry weekend. Really enjoyed the toboggan ride (and the associated workout). Those things are really heavy so make sure youre prepared. Lodge itself is nice with a wide variety of spaces and activities to go. VERY family friendly. We saw a bunch of kids having a good time (while being well behaved). View from the porch was great and loved the birds frequenting the feederOur room was nice but dated. Everything looked very worn. The beds were not very comfortable and while each bed had 6 pillows (no joke!) None of them were particularly comfortable either. Heater kept it toasty even though it was 0 degrees outside.Tried the hot tub which was hot but so chlorinated that it was hard to breathe. Didnt stay long. Guidebook in room says 18+ but the tub says under 12 with adult only (or similar) so kind of confusingWould have liked to sit by the real wood fire in the great room but the seats were a hot commodity and when we finally got a turn on the last day there was difficulty getting the fire to start. No kindling. Nobody cleaned out the firebox. Wood was wet. This was really the only interaction we had with the staff and it wasnt very impressive as they just gave up after lighting a bunch of paper.Overall I really like this place. Lots of things to explore and the town of Angola is very close and has enough to add some variety. I even liked that you could opt out of having daily housekeeping for a $10 credit. My complaints are with the dated, worn decor and the friendliness of the staff. We got a good deal on the room but if we hadnt I would have been put off.
Probably the best hotel Ive been to. Employees are really nice, and the place is clean. Also love all the scenery, and the outdoor stuff you can do. One bad thing though is the amount of chlorine in the pool. I could hardly stand being in there for a long time because I could hardly breathe, and it was starting to burn my skin. Love the sauna though. 5/5 stars, and well definitely be back soon.
Awesome place to camp! Will definitely be coming back!
Positive: The cabin was near the water and trails. Negative: The cabin had no chair or table and the shower curtain was too short resulting in a flooded floor after every shower. The mattresses were not super comfortable.
This state park is beautiful and very relaxing. My husband and I love it here. We love it so much, we decided to get married out on their deck, facing the lake.
Very cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed watching the swans and Egrettes in the morning by the lake. Breakfast was well priced and very yummy.
Beautiful scenery and lots to do. Loved it ️
Nice stay. Enjoyed the bonfire at night and the lovely walks.
Just visited this Indiana State park Inn, but it has some really neat views and beautiful facilities. Someday, Ill return to stay and spend some time.
Potawatomi Inn is fine. The grounds and amenities being in the state park are truly wonderful, but the inn is a bit run down and needs some investment. Our bed was very hard. The pillows, towels and furniture are old. The shower drain was not connected and the window was broken. We worked there for two days and the internet in some of the common areas was really good. When you stay at the Inn, youre really choosing the location and the amenities, which are lovely, but your room wont be great.
With covid happening most the amenities arent available and no maid service for the 5 days we stayed. Limited food in restaurant. Bring your own shampoo and hand soap they only allow 1 per day according to the maid.
I love it here! I came in the off-season, so I was unable to enjoy the beach, boating, and bicycling or other outdoor activities. However, I greatly enjoyed the time I spent with my close friends and their families. Theres an indoor pool and a huge indoor hot tub. There are also so many little places you can visit inside the Inn. Amazing and warm spaces. Ive heard others complain about the cleanliness, but I found anything but unclean. This is the first time that Ive ever slept under their comforter and used their pillows because they smelled clean and fresh. I also loved that I was able to get a room and bring two of my three pets with me. I would expect rooms to smell not very good, which is why I always bring air fresheners. However, the room smelled totally fresh when I walked in. I plan on visiting this location more in the future and Im going to tell everybody else about it. It is on beautiful Lake James and has beautiful views. I totally recommend you visiting this beautiful and historic end.
Beautiful historic inn and great Farmers Market pizza.
A wonderful location for people who want to read, write, hike, swim, paddle on vacation. Im interested in returning in the winter sometime. There are plenty of public spaces to enjoy with lodge-style decorations. The staff was friendly. My group was there for an event. Id recommend the space.
First time here. Wonderful! So much to do. Friendly staff. Beautiful setting.
To have an early 20th century property, right on the lake with a sandy beach, an indoor pool, hot tub sauna and on site restaurant all at a state park setting is really amazing!
Checked in 24 hours ago. The air conditioning In my room has been out. When I ask the front desk about it, they tell me they are working on it. No apologies, no offer to switch to another room or give a refund. I have asked to be moved and given the run around. Not that we are spending a lot of time in the room but after spending all day outside In the middle of the summer, a cool room to sleep in is not too much to ask.Terrible accommodations, even worse customer service.
We lucked into staying in the older part and was pleased with how quaint the room was. The closet and bathroom doors were all of six feet tall! We slept in a comfortable full size bed. It was special even though there was nothing special about the room. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous! Full of history. A true treasure found on the lake. Looking forward to staying there again.
Beautiful park, nice old style inn, good food!
Some friends are going down to Potawatomi Inn for their 50th anniversary. I called to see what I could do to surprise them. Emily, the manager, made it so much fun! I bought a bottle of wine, engraved glasses filled with chocolate and she walked over to get a card at the gift shop! I know our friends will love it all! Thanks Emily!
Stayed in a cabin over the weekend. Cabin itself was small but super cute, up to date with a/c, mini fridge, and microwave. Short walk over to the inn and to the small beach area thats there. Not a whole lot of wiggle room on the checkout time or else they will charge you another day. Other than that, awesome little overnight stay, fair price, something a little different than just your average hotel
We love the Inn and the beautiful state park. Nice trails. Great for family get togethers, weddings, business meetings, basically any kind of group get together. Would give five stars but their chlorine in their pool and hot tub is out of control and basically renders them useless. The hot tub had so much chlorine it bleached our swimsuits and ruined my girlfriends hair. If they would get that under control I will change to five stars and edit my review. We were not the only ones stating concerns about the pools. Several customers were upset and complaining to the front desk in front of everyone.
As a 90s kid, the old-rustic-lodge interior felt nostalgic. It was awesome being able to show our daughter how things looked & worked from when we were kids ourselves. Theres so many activities to choose from that keeps any family busy. The scenery was so beautiful. We loved swimming in the lake & playing on the beach all day, we got some good color on us. The arts & crafts room has plenty of options, our daughter painted ceramic piggy banks while listening to classic Disney music. The outdoor patios & courtyard were modern, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed walking around & exploring the decorated halls. The gift shop was super cute & has a little something for everyone, I really loved the idea of the fill-a-bag of the vibrant colored rocks for only $5 bucks. The staff was great. Theyre all friendly, helpful & professional (except for the dining room Manager)._Cons_-The pool was fun but could chill on the amount of chlorine & install or use some A/C, as its almost impossible to breathe in the extremely muggy-bleachy air when its 93° outside.-The beds & pillows are not just firm, theyre like a rock. It was nearly impossible to get comfortable & woke up with body aches. Our shoulders, necks & hips are so sore from those beds. For the love, get new mattresses.-The deck & patio doors lock from the outside in the evening/night time. Youre able to go out but not get back in & are expected to walk allllllll the way back to the Main Entrance to re-enter the hotel. It was super annoying to keep having to call my Husband to come downstairs to let me back in every time a door locked behind me . Especially when huge unfazed raccoons roam near the patios, so I was not about to sweat walking a mile to the Main Entrance in the dark. Install entrance keycards for the guests to get back in or stop locking us out.-The historic dining room restaurant seemed promising at first but the food was so horrible. We went during the breakfast service. The potato hash browns were so bland, soggy and cold like they were made a week prior. The scrambled eggs were disgusting & inedible, I had nowhere to spit it out so I chugged water to swallow the eggs like a pill & I fought myself to not throw up.The wait staff were very nice & apologetic but the manger on the other hand seemed offended & was only willing to remove one plate off our bill even though all 3 plates were disgusting & untouched.Dont go unless you want to pay for inedible food that ends up in the trash .- Guests who bring their dogs, also bring them to the beach. Some dogs were very well behaved while others would bark non-stop for hours . Super hard to relax on the beach with an annoying barking dog. Be sure to watch your step on the grass & the beach, some owners like to leave their dogs poop for you to step in . Its gross.
This is a special hotel. Honestly, Ive never stayed anywhere like it. Its in a beautiful nature preserve, with trails, guided walks, a lake, tobogganing in the winter, and so much more. Very family friendly.
I hope my next experience will be better. Best Inn if you have kids.
Nice place. Hard beds.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Nice woodsy setting. Have to sell your first born to eat at the restaurant. Cool crafting area. Awesome lake in the back. Toboggan run is a lot of fun, long walk carrying the sled back up.
Excellent and they have rentals and a party boat in water to get alcohol rentals are cheap
So hot it was hard to breath in our room, carpet was dirty, their were candy wrappers left, no washcloths in bathroom, room was crowded and had no extras at all, no microwave, mini fridge no hair dryer, I expected alot better for the price
Its ok but dont like to sleep on their bed because the bed here is uncomfortable
We have visited for 36 years and love it! Any season. Summer we visit twice a month for swimming and kayaking. We are third generation visiting pokagon and our children grew up here. Our grandchildren are enjoying the same visits and love pokagon and love staying at potawatomi inn. It is a second home to us️
Extremely disappointing. Do not stay here. They say a standard double room with no warning the room is extremely small and uncomfortable.
Such a peaceful retreat. Will definitely be coming back!!
Navigating the building was difficult because signage was sparse. Beds were very small and hard. Rooms were sweltering hot. I had to sleep with the window open in 35 degree weather! The pool and hot tub were over-chlorinated and made it hard to breathe. The hot tub wasnt really hot. Overall very disappointed. Glad it was only one night.
The atmosphere of the Inn is great! We came on a weekend that the Inn was completely booked (as well as the cabins which we stayed in). There are lots of common areas for you to hang out in around the Inn and it has a lot of charm. We stayed in a queen cabin. In appearance, it was very nice. However, it was very small. The floors had a grit to them of not being swept. At first we were glad to.be staying in a cabin due to all the commotion over in the Inn. However, the walls are paper thin in the cabins. It sounds like your neighbors are in the room with you. The beds were uncomfortably hard, but the sheets were nice. Overall this is a nice place to stay for the charm of it, not so much for the comfort.
Lots of things to do either alone or with family, great service and food,
Friendly, engaging staff - Pokagon State Park northeast corner of IN.
My family and I had dinner at the inn and the waitress gave us our food and did not check on us. We waited to ask for different food due to ours being severely burnt and dry. The pregnant waitress only took one meal off the tab and we still paid quite a bit of money for all burnt food. The BBQ ribs were burnt and there was no sauce on them. I would not recommend. The waitress was very rude and not accommodating what’s so ever.
Great place. Lots of memories there
Never get tired of this place. State facility so always clean and well maintained. Must try the Sunday brunch at the restaurant. Only complaint is $9. To get into park to get to the Inn. Pool, beach, horseback riding, hiking, pond to relax by. One of our favorite places!
I love this inn. Been here numerous times
The inn is located within a state park so you have to pay a fee to enter the park. Priceline didn’t mention this when we booked our room.
This is an old family favorite. Not like your chain hotels, things have character. Great patio and outdoor areas along with indoor entertainment areas that you dont find in most resorts or hotels. Last night we hung out in the library, pool, rec room, deck, covered porch, gift shop, ice cream parlor, great room, and a hallway lined with windows to view bird feeders that attract all your favorite species, and a made from scratch buffet! This was just the Inn! In the park you have Lake James, a regional favorite, a nature center, horseback riding, a toboggan run, tons of viewable wildlife, and an easygoing topography for hiking. There is seating and areas for fires around the hotel for nice nights. This has been a close destination for 20 years and is quickly endeared by the next generation.
Very large inn, lots of space also means lots of people. Very noisy everywhere you go due to lots of kids having a good time. They were all settled in by 11 and began to be quiet. Lots of things to read about and explore throughout the building.
Im at this hotel now. Its 90 degrees outside, and our AC isnt working. Front desk sent someone, but its still blowing hot. We also came back after several hours and our room wasnt cleaned. Call the front desk again, but they are clueless. I had to call twice to get more towels for the next day. We also found bugs in the sheets. The room next to us said their shower drain backed up. Nothing looks like its been updated since the 90s. Restraunt is WAY overpriced. Very disappointed. Stay elsewhere.
Worth the drive next time we will have to spend the night
Very nice place to stay I will go back again and will recommend family and friends
The staff was nice... Internet quality is trash, and the food was way to overpriced. So be warned that drinks in the food hall are almost 4 bucks a pop (for Apple juice mind you). The park itself is really nice, but the Inn could use some updating. (Shower heads super low, really slick bathroom floors etc) I had to bend back and down to wash my hair. (Final note, the breakfast actually made me sick so there is that)
The Inn is at a great location, and we absolutely love the old charm of the place , but as far as the amenities they are beyond outdated . The beds are absolutely horrible, the shower are filthy, as well as the toilet bowls. I could go on and on but you get the picture . The place is in need of some major updates.
Excellent staff, always ready to assist. Good prices, good food. Lots of activities indoors or out but also plenty of quiet nooks.
The inn is showing its age in a few areas, which is probably why others have mentioned that it could use some updates, but there was nothing that particularly detracted from the experience. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was firmer than Im used to, but I slept as well as I could expect in a new place. I was very happy that plenty of pillows were provided, without having to go to the desk and ask for more. I was a little worried about noise - apparently there was a big family reunion or something going on during our first night there, and the place was packed with people and small children running everywhere - but we turned on the fan in our room for white noise and that effectively blocked anything from outside the room. Now, if only something could have been done about my roommates snoring! Something was wrong with the hot tub during our visit - it was running, but not hot - but the sauna and pool were great. We also spent a little bit of time in one of the downstairs lounges and checked out the game room. My only complaint is that our one meal in the inn dining room was really disappointing. I have fond memories of family meals at state park inns, and was especially looking forward to the breakfast buffet, but what we received was basically on par with a continental breakfast at a budget hotel (big pan of scrambled eggs, heat and serve sausage patties, frozen french toast sticks, etc.) except that it cost nearly $50 for three people! We opted to dine elsewhere for the remainder of our trip. Ill definitely go back to the park for hiking, the toboggan run, and other activities, and Ill probably stay at the inn again at some point, but unless they really revamp the menu and bring back the quality I remember, Ill avoid the dining room.
Beautiful place! Thanks for letting watch the soccer game in the watch room. Youve made our day! The inn looks great though we stayed at the campground. Thank you!!
Awesome. Rooms are older but clean. You just cant beat the lodge feel with all the places to sit by a fire or look at the lake or all the things to do inside. There is a game room with pool table and sit hockey. There are games available, a cafe, and pool. Its great for families or family gathering. Its a sprawling lodge. Very family friendly yet feels private.
Excellent place to take your family! However, if you plan on staying in the Potawatomi Inn make sure you look at the room before you settle with that one. They need updated
The rented Baby crib/pack n play had a broken leg. Made it very difficult to assemble. Beautiful scenery. It was cold and rainy but there were still things to do. Loved having the option of the cafe or the dining room. The cashier at the cafe seemed very scattered. Prices are fair and the atmosphere is charming
A favorite place for our family for many years. Great trails, especially in Fall colors. Beautiful view of Lake St James from the lodge. Helpful and friendly staff. Delicious meals, from either the dining room buffet or a pizza from the cafe.
Gorgeous, I recommend one of the patio rooms!
Place is a joke to stay at....never going to stay here again...we were told by two people the pool would be opened at 9 cus they were goin to open it early....well get told by another person it wont be open till 10.... well looked forward to the hot tub and pool but disappointed in the staff.....
Was enjoyable and relaxing after spending a couple days in Shipshewana.
It is really a beautiful place, had my honeymoon there and we so enjoyed it. We went to hells point and back and yeah the walk trails are really great. Makes you feel like you are in some kind of untanned forest, lol... but trust me its safe.
Beautiful all four seasons. Very family centered atmosphere. You dont feel iffy about leaving important items on a table unattended. Staff has always been helpful and friendly.
This is a MUST STOP if you are in the area. Our family has been meeting and staying here for years. It is still one of my kids favorite trips every year! The pool, sauna and hot tub are always a blast! The art room offers all kinds of items like bird houses, doll furniture, ceramic banks, etc that can be purchased and painted. They provide all the paint and supplies. Family Art Project time in this room is one of our favorite activities! There is also a very fun arcade with several games, pinball machines, ping pong table, air hockey, and our personal favorite Boccerball!! (If you have never played it before, you have to try it out!!) The restaurant offers a fabulous buffet. There is also a pizza place inside the Inn that is really good but the best part of the Pizza Place is the Ice Cream.. it is SOOO good!! During certain seasons you can check out the Park stables for horse rides and/or hayrides. The hotel also offers little activities such as Smores Kits, Activities where you go through the hotel and have to take pictures of different things to win. Also, all throughout the Inn are puzzles, games, books, etc and tables and comfy chairs to sit and relax, read, play a game, do a puzzle, etc. In the wintertime they have the Toboggan Sled, which is soo much fun!! I also used this setting to shoot Senior pictures this year and I could not have asked for a better background! Seriously, this place is amazing and one of my all time favorite places! Go check it out!
Overall, it’s nice. I stayed in one of the rooms in the historic section. I can say that the rooms need a little improvement; a coat of paint and an update on the furniture would help. The beds are FIRM, and this is coming from a fan of firm beds. My room could have used a dusting as well. The the restaurant, the food ranges from great to ok; service was slow, I think they need to hire more wait staff.Upsides: staff is very friendly. They have a pool and hot tub and a beach and beach volleyball. Location is great; lots of beautiful views and many trails start at the inn. Lots of comfy spaces for reading, games and conversation. And, of coarse, there’s the “historic” factor.
Our family just finished an end of summer trip here, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we spent as much time enjoying the Inn as we did exploring the state park. The kids loved the pool, the game room, and doing puzzles in the area outside the dining room. We also found several cozy places to read, both inside and outside. The only minor drawback was that the decor and rooms are a bit dated, but the overall experience was a great one!
Beautiful place with lots of wildlife and good trails to hike. Ive hiked them all. I recommend hells point. The inn also has a very good restaurant.
Was here for the seaplane fly-in so much fun. Come explore the park and fall in love with the hotel and restaurant
It was nice n clean. Staff was very friendly.
Very nice place to stay. Clean rooms, great food as and very nice view of the lake off of the back deck and some of the lake view rooms.
Breathe taking views. Wonderful food. Staff is super helpful/friendly.Rooms in the big buildings, cabins off the main buildings. Great place to stay!
Very helpful and nice place.
Beautiful place, wonderful customer service.
Clean comfortable accommodations. Toboggan run is so much fun.
This place is awesome, just loved staying there !
We loved our time there. We celebrated our first anniversary and had a fantastic time! Just loved the park and the inn. Some things are dated but it didnt matter. Very relaxing. Saw deer on our bike ride. Nice set up. Plan to come back
This is a gem of a spot in a state forest! We were given a room with a great view and we loved wandering through a trail along the lake. I pass this way a lot and I look forward to spending more nights here in the future. My children loved the pool and hot tub too.
I have been coming here since I was a kid. Winter or summer, this place is worth the trip! From the pontoon rentals to the fireplaces to the whole ambiance of the place, it is a must do!
Staff is very helpful and accommodating. The young man who works the night shift and cleans public areas is especially so. We find it very easy to relax and unwind here. We have been coming for years.
My happy place here on Earth.
Dont go to the restaurant Inn and the only plus for the rooms...excellent AC ,bring your own pillow at least...but lots to explore and do outside!
Very nice place to stay with fantastic views. The decor is a bit dated and the rooms are not up to 5 star spec. If you dont mind early 2000s furnishings youll be fine. If you think its going to be like a modern resort youll be disappointed.
I love the Inn. Peaceful. We come up every February to just relax. Hot tub, cozy rooms, and nice views.
Really enjoyed myself. Thanks to the staff & house keeping. Keep it up, youre doing great
The hotel is fine, basic but clean. The restaurant is BAD, the pizza place is okay. All the food options are understaffed a d slow. Order delivery
We went to go tobogganing and had a wonderful family weekend. The hotel has lots of great little sitting areas and fireplaces and the Sunday brunch buffet was delicious.
This resort would be perfect..... with a little maintenance and a very deep cleaning. The cabins need some TLC as well. And about a $50 per night decrease. But great views and excellent hicking trails!!
