Today was perfect to be on the flats. Hot sun with a perfect breeze. I had never been there before! What an epic place to go to relax and enjoy Alaskan views. My kids had a blast building with beach wood and mud fights♡

Nice scenery, nothing special. Its located in the neighbourhood. Just beware of the moose, you wont notice them because the bushes are higher than you...

A beautiful view that sometimes has a mating season which you should not go not to disturb them. Best observed with warm clothing as the wind off the arm is brisk.

This is a park where a human can observe a moose. The front of the park is a sloped field that walks back to a brilliant view of the inlet. The moose encounter was fairly benign but the locals say to give the moose some space.

As a photographer...its a great place to get images with a stunning backdrop of the arm to the south, mountains across the way, and fire island and more to the north. Its also a popular place for people to go with picnic baskets and blankets and watch the sunsets from as well.Be aware, its not unusual to run across a bear here, as they are moving along the coastline and its only a little distance south of the mouth of Campbell creek where it comes out of Campbell lake, and its annual salmon run

Beautiful view of inlet. Kids had fun down on the dried mud flats. Windy all the time though. Often there are people learning parasailing there.

We love walking our dog at this place. They have poop bags and trash cans so it can be kept clean. Its great to bring kids to get a nice walk and the view is fantastic of the ocean and mountains. There are no benches or official seating so bring a blanket and lunch for the view from the grassy ground. Ive seen weddings performed here, family photos taken here, and some people fly their drones which Im not sure is legal. If youre adventurous u can also walk down on the mud flats but beware in the summer u make get stuck and never get that shoe back. We like to walk on the flats right before breakup so its still hard ice but less snow so its easy to walk around.

It is not much more than a green lawn but it gives you access to spectacular views of Cook Inlet. You can also get down to the mud flats.
