Beautiful venue! I saw Harry Potter Live with the Anchorage Symphony and it was magical. Decent ticket prices for events from what Ive seen. Seats are decent and somewhat comfortable. Many parking areas around this location, just make sure you arrive at least 40 minutes before your event because parking fills up fast. This place gets HOT, so make sure you wear layers so you can adjust throughout your experience.

I will always love the Performing Arts Center next to Town Square Park. I share my birthday with the PACs opening day. My parents enjoy telling the story of my dad feeding my mom multiple slices of pizza followed by marching her 39-wk self up and down the many MANY stairs in the facility. In the end, after all the effort, hours later I was born. One of the many memorable highlights of the PAC is the original flower poppy-print carpet featuring oranges and reds covering the floor as the neutral-colored walls and vaulted ceilings above create a sense of retro grandiosity to this day. This is juxtaposed by a simple, geometric interior, slate grey walls, balconies, and stairs which are open in the center at each floor landing, allowing for a more roomy, but at the same time, intimate atmosphere. Refreshment and snack stations are conveniently located on either side of the main landing where guests may socialize before and between acts. Greeters and ushers are pleasant and will kindly guide guests to their seats in a prompt manner. If guests arrive late to a show/concert, ushers seat them in a row reserved for this purpose so they can still enjoy the entertainment before a break when they are able to be seated in their original assigned seats. The interior of each concert hall feature varying colors and patterns on the ceiling and walls, all of which are designed specifically to amplify the most conducive acoustics for each space. Each concert hall allows for varying numbers of guest seating depending on the type of entertainment featured. In the Atwood Concert Hall, guests may enjoy symphonies which feature a guest musician (including pianists, who utilize the split and hydraulic floor to accommodate movement of a grand piano), symphonies with a choir and/or guest vocalist, and even multimedia productions including the symphony backed by a projector with imagery or a film. The Discovery Theater features many operas and music acts, while the Sydney Laurence Theater features shorter or one-act plays and frequently local productions from theater troupes and school musicals/plays. There are smaller spaces in the PAC where meetings, private showings, and other events are held.Being so centrally located, it is commonly referred to when giving directions or as a central starting point for people to meet. Many bars, restaurants, and other entertainment facilities surround the PAC which guests may filter into after shows/concerts for late night fun.Overall, The PAC is a must-visit on any tourists (and even locals) list of places to see/visit in Anchorage!

We have enjoyed going to pack for years. The shows are always superb the performers are in awe of their audiences in Anchorage and in awe of how beautiful our city is and hope to come back and we would love to have them all back as often as they would like to come. I am so grateful to all of the contributors and to the oil companies that have provided funding for the origination of pack and supported it through the years and hope that that continues

This is a magnificent stage theater, showing the very best acts in all of Alaska. Its awesome location downtown, surrounded by the best restaurants and parks, make it the focal point for culture in Anchorage. You notice it from far off due to the distinctive light up rings on the building.

A fantastic venue for theater, music, lectures. Each of the three theaters has its benefits. The seats in the Atwood are beginning to lose their cushion - they are getting pretty old - so just be warned about long periods of sitting. Great acoustics, though, especially since they got the new shell.

Nice on the inside. The park around next to the building has a lot of homeless people. They generally keep to themselves. Please dont let distract you from attending an event. There is plenty of parking (garage, street, and/or parking lot). All parking in downtown cost money.

Amazing Theatre! The building itself is huge and conveniently located downtown adjacent to a large park and pay lot which makes for an easy and stress free parking plan. Everything is well organized with huge wide hallways and large double doors making the flow of traffic getting in and out od the actual theater rooms way easier than others Ive seen. We went to see the 2018 Nutcracker performance by the Eugene Ballet and it was fantastic! They brought in the Anchorage Symphany who were below the performance floor playing live. Great experience and they staff was also very helpful in guiding everyone to their exact seat locations.

The theater has nostalgia. I hadnt been to one in ages and felt right at home. I went with my daughters school field trip to see Airplay. The theater was roomy, the seats are comfy (although if you have a small one bring a blanket or use your coats to keep from folding on them lol)And the inside structure is amazing! The upstairs has a small cafe area where they sell few drinks and treats. But its not a movie theater so I expected that. I will defiantly be looking forward to my next visit.

Tickets can be pricey sometimes. I wouldnt recommend paying anything over 50.Also I wish they would fix their water fountains. Honestly I think they do it on purpose so were forced to buy bottled water. I went about 7 months ago and I noticed one of them wasnt working. I visited again this past week and its still out of order! Fix your water fountains please!

Depending on the show youre going to see the price can vary from free to expensive!Generally theres adequate parking within a block or two of the facility, depending on the time of day and the show you want to see you may be able to get free parking or have to pay at one of the local pay to park areas nearby theres several within a block or so.Concessions are generally overpriced if theyre provided at all, one of the worst experiences I had was paying for a seat showing up on time somebody sitting in our seat and the staff tree seated us somewhere else. I find this to be highly unprofessional especially when theyre charging different rates for different seating.

It is located in downtown Anchorage. We saw the Aurora show there ($13 per ticket). They have many photo display showing all these amazing views!! Of course, they are for sale and many other souvenir.About the show.... I will say it is more like a slideshow. No interview with the photographer or any kind of documentary. Only photos and some text thanking lots of people for making this happened.A little bit disappointed because we thought it would be a documentary about the process of how he took such amazing pictures. For $13 to see a slideshow... a little bit pricey. Because I can see all these photos in the display section.

On one hand, AurorA was a beautiful production and a great way to see the northern lights regardless of what time of year youre visiting. On the other, asking people to pay more for a 40 minute film than you would normally pay for a full length movie is ridiculous ($13 for an adult with an entire dollar off for seniors). Gouging people who are visiting and want to learn about your state is a poor choice, and they should have a more reasonable price.
