Working on the first modern academic history book on Anchorage and the area meant a lot of work and research on my plate. So I am very thankful museums that preserve history like this exist. I am grateful to the staff for the information I was able to obtain for my book.

One of Alaskas best kept secrets. This is the little museum that could. Jam packed with history from the War Between the States to Vietnam. Highly recommended.

Really great tours with loads of facts, anecdotes and jokes. The items they have curated there are one of a kind, lots of weapons and artifacts from the WW2 battles that took place in Alaska. Check it out!
