A nice park located in downtown Anchorage. Open and fitted with several historical monuments. Though the park is fairly nice, there are some parts of it that are little run down and old. Occasionally youll find a interesting individual roaming the park, but for the most part its pretty safe and nice.

Love this open space area. Saw people flying kites here and my son enjoyed watching them. Its always kept well maintained and it has great views to the mountains.

This was a lovely park to stroll along whilst visiting anchorage. The city has made best use of its flat terrain and converted this space into playing fields, courts, expanses of grass as well as memorials to fallen veterans and the Alaskan railway. Plenty of benches and tables to sit down to enjoy the sun if it decides to peak during your visit

Really nice long park in the middle of the city. I didnt have my phone so no pictures but there is a cool train monument.

The Park Strip is a favorite spot in downtown Anchorage. It’s a popular summer location for kite flying, festivals and outdoor yoga. In the winter local schools use the long expanse to introduce students to cross country skiing. Year round, it is an excellent place to have fun with your dog. In addition to a myriad of recreational opportunities, the park is home to several memorials and outdoor exhibits. Yesterday we had the chance to visit the one that honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other notable Alaskans who shared his vision of living in an equal and just world.

I love this little slice of Anchorage. I typically take my wife and dog on Sundays. I love making good memories with my family.

Love the small rose garden. Its has a variety of colorful and fragrant roses and other flowers with little bumbles buzzing around pollinating. Its a lovely place to walk through or sit on a bench and enjoy the sunshine.

I love this park, humongous, beautiful and fun. An old train to play on, tennis courts,skating rink,gym,baseball field, picnic tables and benches. Come fly a kite, play with your kids and dog, bring a picnic! You wont be disappointed!

I like being outside in the summer and I enjoyed having the space to just run, jump, relax or whatever else that comes to your mind!

Delaney Park or The Park Strip as locals call it is a great place to take a walk and more.Delaney Park is easy to find. Look for the large green grass that separates Downtown businesses from the residential neighborhoods.During the summer youll see kites flying high; hundreds of people doing yoga; and events like the mayors picnic.

It was nice and clean. A couple of doggie bombs but that was it. Clean place to run around with the kiddos and get their energy out.

Best place to go look at the stars at night and the Moon very open and very safe

Its a very nice and calming park, its probably because of the Vietnam veterans memorial there its very calming ,at the same time you can see people playing soccer,flying kites, people with there children.Another good thing and probably the best,is its size, theres always space enough for everyone.Playing or just walking around it,like I like to do you cant help but enjoy your self.

Killer place to play ultimate frisbee or just relax after work! Too bad the ultimate league basically shuts most of the park down to the public on week days though.

I stopped there to have a telemedicine appointment using my cars internet. I had a blue ford expedition undercover APD vehicle park perpendicular to the parking stalls, facing into my vehicle. They watched me for about 65 minutes. I pulled away to drive to work. I was followed by a blue undercover APD impala all the way to work.You dont know me, but I reassure you I am not a criminal. So I was pretty scared to have been stalked across town and to my place of employment. I filed a report with APD about APD. Naturally, they did nothing.I would advise avoiding Anchorage and APD all together - unless you are an APD officer. Then you are safe here.

I have been to war memorial in Washington DC and this one in Delaney Park rates among them as one of the best.

Its a decent park in the middle of town. The only problem is theres a lot of drunks at times.

Love this long park in downtown Anchorage, where all kinds of fun &/or meaningful activities take place.

Had to troubleshoot the rink lights today. They want both drinks open soon. Temporary fix on the control side with 2 new switches on the way.

The park was reasonably clean and fair on upkeep.I was there with family to fly kites. There was an brief moment where some of the dregs of society were there drunk in public displaying uncouth manners and being excessively loud for no reason. These individuals were quickly taken care of by outstanding Anchorage Police Officers on foot patrol. The park then returned back to normal family fun and enjoyment for all.

This venue is an excellent place for just about anything! From sporting events, weddings, picnics, you name it! First used as a fire buffer, then a golf course/landing strip! Plan your next outing here.

A nice large park convenient to the central park of Anchorage when you dont have time to get to the vast expanse of wilderness that surrounds the area. Great for a quick lunch walk.

Its just not the same

The park strip is always a great place for events.

Street Harassment: Avoid. This used to be a wonderful place to take family and friends and attend activities. I grew up using this park fondly in the 1990s and 2000s. However in recent times, bicycle hoodlums have been in the area harassing people. There are panhandlers that smell like urine asking for money. Its a shame to see the place go like this.

Always a great place to go for a picnic except in winter, lol. This central place in downtown Anchorage often features many spring, summer, fall and winter activities.There is also an Alaska Armed Forces Memorial.A childrens playground at the extreme eastern end. As well as a few baseball/ softball fields for many many Anchorage Summer Softball Leagues.If you are new to Alaska and Anchorage you will want to know where this place is as many activities all year long happen right there.

Park itself is nice but certain characters hang near and in the park. Theres a building very close to the park that Im sure parents and women would be uncomfortable to know the types of meetings etc. that occur there.

Always a great place for a quiet moment downtown. Take a walk through the rose garden or stop at the memorials you can find there.

Delaney park strip is downtown Anchorage. Its like it says, a long park strip. It has a hockey rink it has big open Fields for playing flag football or frisbee football. Theres a gym. But mainly its just a vast long strip of field that you can bring your kids and dogs to and enjoy the outdoors

This place is what makes downtown not as crowded as it could have been with a whole bunch of buildings towering above.

I go almost every year on labor day. Its so beautiful.

Just get your permit from the municipality and it is a fantastic place to have a group party, especially down by the Rose Garden
