Very cool ride for the kiddos and adults alike, if youre old enough to remember 10,000 leagues under the sea that this replaced. Lines werent too long, but I would wait up to 30 minutes for this ride. Its worth it.

Very good ride! You feel like you go into another world when you go beneath the water. If the wait is more than an hour I would go do some other rides and then come back to this one, because its not worth a super long wait. But it definitely is still worth checking out when youre visiting Disneyland. If youre only in Disneyland for a day, however, go do some of the bigger, better rides like Splash Mountain and Matterhorn Bobsleds!

Everyone had me so scared of this ride for no reason. Yes, you are actually underwater but you can pretty much stand up in this ride if you’re not over 6 foot tall. It’s a cute little ride, mostly screens but there are some animatronics.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is a stunningly beautiful ride. The vibrant colors just make you happy to go along for the ride. But, thats pretty much all it is, a very colorful deep sea exploration. The ride is a little lacking in effect and plot, but, for pure scenery and color, its worth the wait.

I love this ride for the nostalgia. This ride is on the original track and using the original submarines from 20,000 leagues under the sea. They have done an overlay of Nemo for an update and the update is not well done. As cheesy as this ride is I still love it.This Nemo ride is vastly different from the one at Epcot. At Disney World we lost our 20,000 leagues under the sea decades ago so my opinion might be slightly biased.

Not for claustrophobes and the line takes disproportionately forever, but it is a nice ride once you get on.

Skip this ride. When it was 20,000 leagues back in the day it was better. Its an uncomfortable 10 minute viewing through a port window. If the kids really like Nemo, dont wait more than 10 minutes for this.

Good ride for the littles but nothing exciting for adults. You basically go underwater, drive in a circle, watch bubbles and the occasional screen with voices. Nothing that is super exciting.

I love Disneyland and I would never like to give a bad review because, the place is so magical and amazing, but the attraction is not that good, I feel like they can use the space better, I think they should add more to the underwater layout, they should add more fish and more corals to make it more interesting, they need to do something about the smell too. I personally think the ride should be changed to Finding Dory instead of finding Nemo, but like I said before they need to add more fish and corals to make it feel more like a reef, they should add as many characters as possible to create a better experience including The beluga whale, Sidney the whale shark, the octopus, Dory’s parents, and more to make it more fun

Al

This ride is 10% animatronics that clash with the backdrop, 90% watching screens that dont even look underwater, and 100% uncomfortable and claustrophobic. Do not waste your time with this, especially if youre on the larger side

Review №15

Relative to the other rides in Disneyland, Finding Nemo pales in comparison. The submarine exterior seems well kept, but the interior has a musky smell and isnt well ventilated at all. They could have done a better job with the attractions, which were underwhelming. The windows are murky making them hard to see out of. Good idea, but may be its time for a major redo!

-- Fastpass available for this ride. --A bit claustrophobic and smelly, perhaps as real submarines actually are, but also not so pretty a ride. Usually so expert in creating atmospheric rides, Disney does not use colors and light and the best of fake objects to recreate the beauty of the sea here.Lots and lots and lots of bubbles dont actually hide the fact this ride already needs refurbishment, if not to actually make both Nemos -- the Captain from the rides previous version, too -- justice.Mas isnt it also a bit too dark and scary a ride for little children?

The original version was so much better. This just felt cheap and lazy. I remembered that as a kid, this was one of my favorite rides as it actually felt like you were on a submarine voyage. Now, it just feels like you are slightly submerged in water watching a bad rendition of Finding Nemo.

Okay ride if you have small children. Any kid over 7 is going to be bored out of their mind. The entire ride time is a little over 15 min so make sure to budget enough time before reservations.Pro tip: Ask a cast member to go to the Marine Observation Outpost. Its an alternate ride experience for anyone who doesnt want to go into a submarine. The outpost is full of items that the Imagineers used as inspiration for the attraction. Honestly I like it a lot better than the actual submarine. Bonus, you can leave whenever you want.

Ive seen the many evolutions of this ride: from gray-subbed undersea polar explorers to Finding Nemo. I remember the mermaids sunning themselves on the rocks. I miss those days. Im not a fan of binding every single ride to the latest hit movie: the experience was what was important, not marketing and merchandising. Submarine Voyage was one of my favorite rides as a kid; after Finding Nemo, I was one and done.

A fun idea for a ride. Especially modeled after characters and storyline from the great movie. But as the Submarines have always been, it is a very claustrophobic attraction. Mostly underwater below the monorail, Matterhorn and old Peoplemover tracks. At this point, sorta a waste of space at Disneyland.Great idea Disneyland a few decades ago but let’s move past this and put in something fresh with all that space. Maybe 5 acres including some unused Autopia space to play with? How ABOUT another Disneyland mountain next to Matterhorn that the Autopia and hopefully future returning Peoplemover can use. Even the monorail can get in on it.They can build out a massive Pirates of the Caribbean log flume futuristic-like, part indoor/outdoor major E ticket attraction.just an idea...Lifts, drops, darkride story, reminiscent of a Splash Mountain thrill through caverns and tunnels above a “earth once was” swamp where the Abominable Snowman once lived after an ice age.One can only dream.

This is one of those rides that I havent wasted my time with the last 2 times that I have gone to the park. It is one of those rides that is definitely geared more towards a younger audience. I can for sure see how it would be fun your the youngins, but it lacks a lot to be entertaining for an adult. I would recommend spending your time on more interesting rides.

Not the most comfortable position.I think I will spend my line wait time in the car line.

The original submarine ride was great, but it was showing its age. Also it never truly captured the epic adventure that was 20000 Leagues Under the Sea. Finding Nemo, on the other hand, is a much simpler theme which I think works better with the simple mechanics of the ride. The visual effects, though just projected video, are quite convincing. There are no Fast Passes for Nemo so the line can get rather long, but dont miss this one! Note: DO NOT RIDE IF YOURE CLAUSTROPHOBIC!

If you are over 55, you probably wont be able to see much of anything. To tight in there to be able to bend down and look out the windows. Not all cultures have the same personal hygiene standards, so depending on who you ride with, you could end up with a very smelly, nasty, hot humid submarine. This ride can go to make way for something new.

Its 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea with a minor facelift and isnt really a Finding Nemo ride. Its a sub ride with some characters displayed on screens. Our little one got a bit bored.

Replaced the original submarine ride. The loading process is slow since people have to climb into the submarines. The inside can be claustrophobic so I would avoid if you are sensitive to small spaces. Once in the ride, the visuals are great.

Im sooooo glad Disneyland revived this ride with Finding Nemo! For years, when I walked through the park, I would always look into the lagoon and wonder when the submarines would every voyage into the great unknown again. I love this ride, I love the queue line (right by the water, near the monorail, by some great food stands, etc.), and I love climbing down into the submarine to start the voyage. Great fun!

Review №47

Kids will like this ride but I thought it was...okay. Not a ride I need to go on again. A makeover of the old 20,000 Leagues ride, it now incorporates Nemo and friends in a mix of real props, some animatronics, and video and sound projection while you watch out the windows of a moving sub. The line is unusually slow for a Disney ride.

Cr

Was a nice experience but nothing to great. Line was pretty long for what the ride was but its was fun.

Sa
Review №49

What was once a brilliantly scripted and themed attraction has been reduced to an overly childish rendition of a DVD re-run to sell merchandise. Not only are the majority of the physical sets replaced with flat projections, the beautiful coral lagoon has been reduced by almost half to accommodate these changes. Not only that but all the animatronics and color has been stripped by the heavy chlorinated water over these past 6 years and Disney refuses to rehab the attraction but once a generation. So much potential is wasted with this ride system and it is unacceptable with the amount of money people pay for this park. Bring on some originality for a change Disney.

One word: claustrophobia. Its so cramped and stuffy in there I find myself starting to get nausea instead of enjoying whats supposed to be a peaceful ride. For a kid its probably great (I enjoyed it as a kid) but now as an adult I cant stand it.

So much effort and money that was put into a ride that could of been good. It was just too random and confusing. Whoever designed this had no creativity.

Ni
Review №55

Keyword here is long. The wait can sometimes be long, it takes a long time to load and unload guests, and the ride itself is long. Youre in that dark tiny cramped submarine for a long time, so take heed! Some things are showing its age and not all the effects seem to work sometimes, but its still a fun neat ride, especially for fans of the film.

The old submarine ride was transformed/upgraded with a Finding Nemo theme. The kids really like this. You board a submarine and look through periscope as the sub make a loop around the pond.

To

Great ride for the kids. wish they kept some actual fish in the attraction

Ni
Review №58

Its a very popular ride, though because its slow to load passengers on and off the subs, not a particularly fast one, leading to very long waits. The ride itself is fine. You sail in a sub and keep seeing Nemo characters. A far cry from the original version of the ride, but the new theming lets it stay open.

Ma
Review №59

The first thing you are greeted with is a long line for the ride. We waited for about an hour which was more than other rides that day. After a long wait you get on the ride and sit down and then look through a tiny window. As I wait for the ride to start I’m just staring at a wall even while the ride starts to move. Then I actually see water when Nemo’s dad and Dory popped up outside the window (which are really just digital screens but you can’t tell) and they went to go look for Nemo. At this point everyone in my group realized we just got on a Finding Nemo ride not knowing while going in. The signs arent very clear so if you are expecting the classic submarine ride just be aware that it’s changed. What follows is a dull experience where the lights keep turning off for dramatic effect, a fake siren keeps going off, and you have to move your head all the way to the window to actually see through it. I wish that they had updated and reopened the original ride instead of turning it into a nemo themed rip-off. Unless you are a really big nemo fan I suggest going to space mountain instead, which when I went had about the same wait time.

For me the nostalgia factor contributes a lot to this ride, bringing back memories of the old ride. The seats are very small so it may be uncomfortable. There is a room you can go in if you are handicap or claustrophobic where you can get much of the same experience in front of a screen.

Review №75

I spent at least 60% of this ride either looking at nothing (darkness), bubbles, or a wall. 30% of the time I was getting glimpses (and I do mean glimpses and peeks at) of a digital/screen version of finding nemo, and there were a few, scant characters like a snorkling Darla at the beginning or a few fish or lobster. The best part was where the anglerfish (fish with a light on his head) lures and then appears. This ride is not up to the caliber that Disney is capable of. Little kids would like it because they like finding nemo, not because it is a well done ride. When you have kiddie rides like ariels undersea adventure where you really feel like you are experiencing a much-loved movie, rides like this are NOT worth your time.
