Beautiful area, lots of great photo opportunities! Patches of wild thyme grow around, and ivy and moss partially cover the old lock and canal-way. There are many nice views of the river and the small islands nearby. They have built in BBQ units for picnicking (bring your own charcoal, food and told). Keep an eye on small children as there are no guardrails or safety elements. Overall, a wonderful experience!

A great place to check out and learn your history. One of my favorites to conduct paranormal investigations.

Nice little park by the river and old lock. No amenities, but nice for history buffs and a nice place to sit by the river and grill if you like. A lot of Canada goose poop tho...

Love stopping here! This is one of the best places to see a lock from the 1850s-era Enlarged Erie Canal in the whole state!
