A beautiful tranquil walk through a bog and around a kettle hole pond much of which is on planks to keep you from sinking in the deceivingly wet bog below. Lots of interesting plants, and birds. Well maintained trails. Went in early December, but will return in the spring to see changes.

Relaxing journey through carniverous flora. Some of boards uneasy. Saw some geese on pound. Have to back out if people come your way for social distancing. I think an earlier trip wiuld of brought mire animals out. We saw chipmunk, geese, and carniverous flowersHeard frog, crickets, and birds. Not a long hike. Could of used more of challenge.

One of my favorite places to take a stroll if I want quiet and peaceful nature sounds. There is a platform where you can overlook the receding bog and this time up here the fall foliage is beautiful. You need to be able to walk on the boardwalks so that you dont disturb the bog. We were delighted with the sound of Canadian geese the insect eating pitcher plants and the delightful

Cute wildlife sancturary bog located right off 101A. It has a .75 miles one way loop trail, most of which is a boardwalk made of planks. Overall fairly well maintained, but there is some uneven ground so it wouldnt be ideal for running. Lots of benches to stop at and potential to see wildlife. Very family friendly!

Peaceful place. Great to walk out to one of four lookouts. Last time I was there I was able to see a few dozen geese on their way south. Colors were just starting to change.

Ive driven by this a million times and never stopped. So glad we did today! Its a beautiful bog with well maintained walkways. Quick trip too, perfect with non-toddler kids because its quick and theyre past the tripping/taking off the board walk age.

Beautiful, easy walk. Plants and trees different from the rest of New Hampshire including carnivorous pitcher plants. Lots of observation decks. Nicely maintained walking planks, although a few wobbly. I am glad I discovered this gem.

Beautiful location for a short nature hike. The board walk is kid friendly, provided they are independent enough to handle following directions to move slowly, as you would not be able to hold hands with a little one.Periodically benches and observation platforms are available, should you need a break or simply to enjoy the habitat. We went at the end of December and saw very little wild life, but we are planning regular visits in the coming year to observe the bog come to life.

One of our favorite walks over the years. 6000 year old kettle hole that had been slowly filling in with plant material. Most of the way is on a two plank boardwalk with three viewing platforms right next to the pond and an overlook platform further away. No dogs allowed due to the sensitive nature of the environment. Managed by NH Audubon with a clean up day usually in April and scheduled walks in the summer.

Great easy walk even with children. Well maintained! We took a visit midday to explore and it was not too busy. It only gets a little tricky trying to pass people in groups (esp with children on the boards). Other than that, everything is wonderful! The trail and the veiwing decks are barely noticeable in the grand view of everything. Very nicely done. We look forward to coming back in a few weeks when the leaves begin to change colors.

Fantastic 40 min walk, we did a mid day walk in the sun its pretty hot, not to many places to be in the shade once you get going. A few places to rest. We saw tons of dragonflies, some ducks & geese, and no other humans till we hit the exit, and Im not sure how we missed them lol. No dogs allowed and two picnic tables to have a snack at before or after the walk.

A very nice location to get away from the everyday issues and get close to nature. The trails are well maintained. It was nice to see that people had respected nature and we didnt see any trash left behind. Since we went at the beginning of December, well have to go back and see if we can see when the heron are nesting and beavers are more active. A nice relaxing walk. Much appreciated.
