Given the limited hours of this museum on the Iowa State University campus, Ive never quite got a chance to visit this place until recently. Important lesson that Ive learned: thank goodness there is limited hours at this museum. This place gave me the creeps while I was moving through the building taking pictures. Definitely come with a friend, or better yet, come with a group. I cant imagine the poor undergrad that has to sit in this museum on a regular basis. Anyways, the museum itself contains a mind boggling 3 stories worth of rooms filled with various artifacts. The rooms/exhibits on the third floor is especially pressuring/claustrophobic given that its basically the attic of the farm house, and there is a very little room to move about. I guess if youre into the whole paranormal investigation stuff, this is not a bad place to check out.
Very well preserved piece of history. Loved my visit here
Recommend anyone that has free time between classes to check this place out. Its so cool
Gives alot of history to campus, our tour guide was quite knowledgeable
The origin point of Iowa State University once housed the College of Agricultures Deans, and their families. Since 1976 it has been a free museum, showcasing the stories of ISU through objects from a time period ranging from 1880 to 1920.
