I wanted to give this course one last try, but unfortunately three strikes and your out. The condition of this course could only be described as 9 flag sticks in a weed infested farm. Fairways are just horrible. I dont know how often they get mowed, but it isnt nearly often enough. And Im not sure fertilization is part of their annual budget as well. The greens are in super rough condition. The only redeeming quality of this course is that you can play 18 holes for under $20. And the staff are friendly.I will say this course has potential. The layout is not bad, and the number 8 hole is actually pretty fun. If you decide to play, bring plenty of bug spray. And dont be surprised if you lose balls that you hit straight down the fairway.

In July 2012, I had my wedding at the most spectacular place at a more than reasonable price! We held the ceremony outside with such gorgeous scenery surrounding us! The reception was a couple of yards away, in the banquet hall Alvin Golf and Country Club provides. It truly was the wedding of my dreams! The staff was so very helpful and kind. A member of the staff even drove my elderly grandmother around in a golf cart, to get her to the ceremony and reception! Everything was so pristine and perfect! The dressing areas were bright and big enough for our entourages to dress us. The banquet hall is beautiful with windows and glass doors to marvel at the beautiful landscaping. The covered patio area provided plenty of space for all our guests to have the option to be inside or out. I cant get over how many picturesque places there were! As bride and groom, we kept wanting to leave the party to walk around for all the photo opportunities! I am ever grateful to Karen and Pat, for the amazing effort they put into making my special day perfect. 6 months later, I am still floating in the clouds, reminiscing how absolutely perfect my big day was. Thank, AGCC, for making my dreams come true! Cant wait to have another big event here, sometime in the future!

I played 18 holes at this 9 hole course today. I enjoyed the round and the layout of the course. Like any course in the Houston area this year, the course was dry and in need of moisture. However that made my normal 250 yard drives run out to 280-290 yards. Are you listening Feherty? Anyway, ended up with 3 birds, 5 pars, no lost golf balls and a score of a 79. Overall, this course needs turf work but it is fun, fun, fun to play. Ill see you again soon to better my score.

The course is in good shape after suffering from storm damage. It is fun to play without being too difficult. Fairways are typical for the area, and the greens are nicely kept.
