First time at this location. Nice and clean with facilities and pavilions with grills. Close to bike trail, river and business but secluded all the same.
Well kept and quiet. I gathered ro exercise and walk the levy.
Nice place to visit.
Day pass or what not needed to use this facility. As a tax payer, I do not recommend this park.
Beautiful views of the river and Clark Bridge
Russell Commons Park is a relaxing peaceful place to take a walk ride a bike walk ur dog on the trail and see the beautifull Mississippi river along the levey and if you walk alll the way down u can go you will end up at the core of Engineers whichs is pretty cool if your down for a long walk. I hope everyone has a good today on this beautiful day and is staying safe and clean have a good one world
Great dog park
I wasnt all that impressed with the section of the park I saw, but to be fair, I didnt walk the trail to explore the park fully. There are some nice picnic pavilions here, and the restroom was clean and well maintained. Theres a dog park with agility training equipment, but from what Ive read, you have to get permission to use it, as well as pay a fee to the city.
Checked out the memorial markers there. Love to c this kinda stuff
Beautiful view. Great bycicle and walk trail
Not much there yet, once they get more things out there and better clean up from flood im sure it will be fine
Had lunch on small pox island. we stopped and got Fast Eddies chicken.omg so wonderful n very tasty
For having to pay for the dog park it is not properly maintained. The Edwardsville parks are free and better maintained. You would have more use if free.
I use the dog park here, which you must get permission to use and pay the city, but its a nice huge park, but a bit of a mud pit if its wet. Usually results in a dirty backseat of my car and a shower for my dog.
Great dog park ! Sometimes as many as 9 dogs in large dog run.Needs water supply. Many owners bring water and dog dish large size. I have been at park with temp -18 degrees, someone was there with their dog. Played fence running 35 minutes. Come to park learn what fence running is all about.Harry O Davidson JrGreatfull Alton Resident
Clean. Great 4 doggs
Nice place to watch 4th fireworks
Great place for farmers market.
Beautiful place along the Mississippi
Got there and realized you were supposed to pay but went in anyway. Not sure what exactly I’d be paying for with the pass though, because there’s no water available and nothing was stocked. Oh and there’s an open sewer drain within view of the park and it smells terrible. I couldn’t imagine paying to be there.
We go down there to eat our supper sometimes. Nice breeze and view of the river. I know nothing about the dog park. Sorry
Its a shame Alton cant take care of this park. Right now its full of muddy spots, especially around the gates. Cant they put down some straw or boardwalk? (There were two small boards, but I suspect a patron put them there.) Also, there used to be drinking water for the dogs. What happened to that?
Wet but 0h the birds. Nice song birds. Deer not afraid and turkeys .
Park is poorly managed. Playground is gone, you have to buy a pass for the dogpark. Which seems nice but we just hung around outside of it.
I wasnt there dont even know where thsts at.
My cuz got a kick out of it because thats his name.
This is a nice little park.
Its unkept except in the dog area and there are entirely too many bugs. Like its infested. More than the norm.
Really creepy vibes, under the bridge and animal like bones in between the overpasses.
A fine little park with a great view of the stunning and iconic Clark Bridge.
Nice park with an under utilized dog park ! Waste of taxes !
Great for family
Complete waste of tax money. Dogs must be spayed or neutered, cost an annual membership fee. Place is never used.
