The museum and mineral springs is amazing. Its raining zen is the most popular of all the other shops in the mall. Also catch a glimpse of the lady in white if you dare

This place is pretty awesome. Theyre only open on weekends and it took me several tries over the years to happen across it while it was actually open. $6 cash only. Lots of cool old torture devices and weird gags. If you know or learn how to lockpick you get a free bumper sticker.

Two thumbs up for this museum that boasts a large number of exhibits chronicling human beings terrible and inventive ways to punish, terrify, chastise, or evoke compliance -- everything from the mild pillory, stocks and dunking stool to the more persuasive burning of witches to iron maidens. My favorite is an authentic metal chastity belt with big, nasty teeth. (PS it is housed inside the Mineral Springs Mall.)

For Six Dollars you can escape reality and get lost in this strange world of optical illusions, quack medicine, forgotten history, and creepy historic torture devices.

Dont go if you dont like to read. I had a some good laughs, and I did the Van Gogh spiral illusion 3 times...you WILL hallucinate for 5 seconds! My son picked the padlock challenge and won a free Curiosity Museum bumper sticker. Takes about an hour to go through the entire museum. Cant beat it for $6 bucks.

For $6 this was an amusing afternoon activity. Its not thrilling enough to do twice, but its cheap and novel for what it is.

Theres three parts to this museum: the torture section, the weird mish-mash section that sticks historical pseudoscience and superstition next to optical illusions and a wheel of death, and the joining section with a small number of old guns. With the name Curiosity Museum I was really expecting much more to the latter two sections. As it is, Im not really sure its worth $6 even if youre really into torture, as the displays probably wont be graphic enough for you. If youre not into torture its worth maybe $3.

I had my doubts on the drive over, but the collection they had and not to mention all there is to do around the shop seriously made for a great day trip.
