The City of Altamonte Springs, FL is excited to announce the opening of the newly-constructed Westmonte Recreation Center. The facility is home to the aquatics, seniors, special needs, seasonal camps, flag football and cheer programs.

I have been swimming laps several times a week in the pool for 4 1/2 months and absolutely love it. The staff are very friendly and the sessions are organized very well. The pool is always sparkling clean and a good temperature.

I went there vote today. They were very organized. The facilities seems awesome with lots to offer for great family time.

So many things to do! Fenced in, away from the parking lot, big field with new equipment. Both my kids love to go here and never want to leave. It can get a bit squishy after rain, so be sure to bring play clothes and not nice ones.

The new facility is clean and well maintained. The pool hosts many different activities including water fitness, swim lessons, and swim team. There are basketball and tennis courts. There is a playground, but I believe its under construction still.

I have never lived in Seminole county until recently after a 9 year hiatus after highschool!!! This park is so amazing and its honestly a true gem! I love that there is always something to do and so many kids. My son LOVES this park and we cannot wait for the pool to open!

Unfortunately today the kids play area was closed and apparently has been for a while due to flooding (drainage issue.) Normally this place is great for some play time so instead if playing on the playground we renewed our swim pass and well be enjoying that tomorrow.

Really nice and clean has changed alot but is still very nice

While there with my kids, some guy kept asking questions (who worked for westmonte park) and their own camp that they were running were very rude to us. We called ahead of time and was told it was 100% okay for us to come and play on the public playground. We were doing CDC guidelines even though their own camp was not. The guy made a huge deal saying about wearing masks (which, I was) and that their camp was also.... Yet I did not see their camp wearing masks as they walked passed my kids and I multiple times and making very rude comments about us - even though we were doing nothing wrong. Would not go again.

New building is beautiful! Beautiful new playground and multiple sports courts.

To my surprise they have updated this parked. Love it! Clean and hairy will be coming back.

Nice facility. The kids loved the park. The park was in two sections, one side for big kids, one side for little ones. The people inside the building were very helpful. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was a fan of the old facility and the new facility, while nice, could have been better.

The park was beautiful! Very clean and staff was very professional! The playground, pavillon, baskeball court and pool were all within walking distance of each other. This made it very easy for us to waych our kids who are very different in age. The pool area was sanitized before and after our arrival and the staff limited the amount of guest who can enter the pool. Make reservations ahead of time. It was a great park and Im glad we discovered it. We will be back!

Love the new renovations! We are so pleased with all of the new amenities, added shade and the calendar extensions for opening more times of the year. Finally a great place to swim close to home!

This place is really, really nice. The splash pad was awesome for my toddler! The rest of the pool area was good for the older kids/adults. The water didn’t hurt my eyes when I opened them under the water, which really surprised me. This park has become our go-to park in the area.

Awesome park that offers a badass playground for ages 2-12 and has basketball courts, tennis courts, shuffle board, a big pool thats only $5 bucks per person and has a splash pad attached to the pool. Cant go wrong with an Altamonte Springs park! There all nice!!

The new facility is beautiful, great pool to bring kids to. Its helped my kids to become more comfortable swimming. One entire side of the pool is zero entry to 3.5 deep - the perfect depth for young kids to practice swimming. Bathrooms and locker rooms are nearby and lifeguards are on duty. The playgrounds are also nice and have a lot of fun equipment weve not seen at other parks.

Google needs to update this place. They no longer have a softball/baseball field. Buildings take up more space than the outdoor areas. Basketball courts are smaller. This is a pool and playground park basically. Pretty disappointing if you don’t have a toddler.

Great facility for family fun! My grandson took swimming lessons during the summer and we will be going back next summer for his annual refresher course.

The upgrades are very nice. My grandchildren love playing in the park!

This new local park in Altamonte Springs, Fl is amazing! Every resident of Altamonte should check it out. New bathrooms, field, basketball court, tennis court, and pool. Its clean and the water fountains water is clear. Its not pet friendly or food friendly though.

It’s a great park. It was recently renovated and they definitely did a great job. It has a pool, basketball courts, a huge playground, a big open field with great grass and many more spaces

The pool is really nice! The park has been wet and muddy every time. Id expect that if it was summer, but its February. They are clearly over watering. Its disappointing since its really a nice place otherwise.

Really great complex. My only ding is they keep really short open swim hours at the pool. Can we have a 5pm or 6pm open pool on weekends or one night a week so families can use it?

Great park for all types of activities. Playground, intramural sports, pool, and basketball courts. Well kept lawn in a nice neighborhood. Highly recommend.

One word, spectacular! Westmont Recreation Center is located in the Spring Oaks subdivision. It has been there since the mid-70s. Recently, millions of dollars were poured into top-notch renovations, and is now open to city of Altamonte residents as well as the public-at-large. As to be expected, City residents get a discount on yearly memberships or can pay monthly. Double the cost, the public is invited to join as well for either year-long memberships or drop in classes/pool as desired. Lifeguards are on duty, and pool access is available early morning till the evening. There are extensive senior activities offered monthly as well as a therapeutic pool for their use. There are a variety of aquatic classes offered daily such as basic arthritis as well as advanced classes. The dressing rooms are handicapped accessible, easy to maneuver, clean as a whistle! For the younger kiddos, there is a really unique and expansive playground to enjoy. Including the pool and picnic areas, there are sail and umbrella shades everywhere to help protect guests from the scorching heat and direct Sun. Kudos to the City of Altamonte and those involved in the budgeting for, designing, building and now maintaining this incredible community gathering place. I do believe this project is fully funded and paid for in full. If you havent already, check it out!

The pool is finally open! There is a nice little area for the little ones to play in with splashy fountain stuff. A little further into the pool is the typical shallow end, and then a large section before you get to the deep end. In the deep end there are lanes for doing laps. Overall a nice improvement over the prior outdoor pool area.For lounging ther are oversized umbrellas with chairs and loungers--plenty of shade. The pool is right next to the new playground.The first Dive-in Movie of the season was the last Friday of May. Most of the scheduled movies are fairly recent and we are looking forward to going to the next one (every other Friday in the summer).

Right now, its under renovation/construction. Soon it will be complete and I can say, as one of the builders, it will be awesome. Amenities and activities to suit all ages and all abilities. The City of Altamonte Springs has really done their best to assure everyone can have a rewarding and fun experience.

Fun place to get much needed exercise

Very family friendly atmosphere. Equipped for those with disabilities and the staff is remarkable.

Came to fill sandbags before the hurricane (thank you again!!) and ran inside to use the restroom. Everything is so beautiful and clean looking inside!

I like what theyve done with the layout of the park. The driveway is less severe and free of distractions. The tennis courts, although less in number, are state of the art and provide a consistent bite and bounce.

Newly renovated park with a heated pool, covered childrens play area, basketball and tennis courts, just to name a few. Great park and perfect for family outside time together.

We went for the movie and swim and it was so fun. I felt the kids werw safe. There was a life guard at very corner of the pool. Great event deff going to try to make each event this summer!

Ive lived in this community for about 30 years and grew up down the street from Westmont Park. The new park looks great!

The new pool is spectacular large shallow end for the little ones, large deep end for those looking to dive in. Only down side no snack or refreshment bar, bring it or your at the mercy of the vending machine.

Great place beautiful pool. My kid takes swim lessons there and in one lesson learned how to swim.

Renovations (most of them) are complete Both pools are beautiful parking is spacious and traffic flow should be greatly improved landscaping is wonderful looking forward to a great start of the year

Great neighborhood park with many different activities for all ranges. The park is currently closed for renovations though. As of February 2018. Not sure of the exact date of reopen. The park and facilities were great before so I cant wait to see what the new facility and playgrounds will look like!! They had everything from basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, indoor gymnastics, swimming pools, picnic area, and two kids playgrounds.
