This is a beautiful, quaint center city theater that has been remodeled. The seats were decently comfortable and the popcorn was delicious. The employees were super friendly and genuinely appreciate your business. The only downside is that parking is a bit difficult, but that comes with the location.

Beautiful old school theater, refreshments arent crazy expensive, never crowded or a line for movies. Only have 1 or 2 different movies showing at a time though. Good coffee across the street, ice cream shop next door

An awesome theatre venue with top quality shows - both musicals and plays. And performing arts school for kids and teens. They have a movie theatre too. Highly recommended.

Intimate, neighborhood movie theater. Reasonably priced popcorn. And you can choose your seat when you get into the theater, the old fashoned way.

The humans was a different play but well done. A play that needs scrutinizing very closely!

Very nice and cozy theater. This is our first visit and we watched Sunset Blvd. The theater is very well maintained and comfortable.

Beautifully renovated gem of a theatre. I recently saw the play, Fun Home there. Ive seen many productions and films there over the years. Its a much needed cultural resource for the area.

The remodeling job is beautiful. Sunset Boulevard play was great and this singing was wonderful.

An absolutely beautiful old theater to experience a live play or enjoy one of the many movies that they show. There is a much smaller theater associated with them, directly across the street called Theatre 514 where you can catch a play or a film that you wont find at the local chain theaters!!

Stunningly beautiful theater and an absolute incredible cast! The show was amazing and everyone involved was fantastic. Right down to the volunteers. The love of this theater is so evident with everyone involved. Looking forward to coming there regularly!

Cant say enough about this place. In particular, the play A Christmas Carol. Just a very good time, wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful place. Every seat in the Theatre is a great seat.

Great place to see a movie or show

I underestimated Mr. Rogers in his day. At age 17, when Mr Rogers,was creating his show on PBS I thought it was goofy fluff for little kids. This moving portrayal and insightful movie showed me the kindness, intellect, and philosophy of helping children make sense of their emotions and a confusing world. His central tenant is live and this movie is a wonderful tribute to his life work

The Civic Theatre always has professional, well thought out productions. I have never been left with anything less than pure enjoyment both in the ingenuity of the sets and production to the enthusiasm and skill of the actors. This is one of Allentowns best diamonds!

The civic theater is a wonderful old treasure. Im very happy that it will be renovated. Its such an asset to Allentown.

The key here is the word Civic - its both Civic and Civil! Local volunteers work at the place and the clientele are civilized. No loud kids with cell phones making the theater experience unpleasant.Beautiful Art Deco building with great, high quality movies and extremely well-done local theater.With very rare exceptions, its the only movie house I go to.

Civic Theatre was always great and after the major renovation it is even better .
