Great Place To Go Watch A Movie On Any Day Of The Week, So Sad They Are Closing:( they are moving to southgate

Always love this place. Old style, but has been a wonderful classic place to get the movie going experience without all the cost!! Staff are always friendly and helpful.

It’s not fancy and some seats are bad but for under $2 for a full screen showing, it’s great.

Awesome theater. Amazing prices. Very comfortable seating. All in a cozy environment. This was my first time here but it wont be the last.

This place is a really good deal for second run movies. Its a great place to take kids as the seating is not too high. Its close by a couple of restaurants. Very good service at the snack bar

This place is super basic but its perfect for the $1.50 ticket price. Its important to note that its cash only - tickets, concessions, everything. There is an atm inside. The seats arent super nice but theyre fine for again, $1.50. this is my preferred venue for seeing any movie that has been out a few weeks.

Going to miss this place tons of memories here. I do hope they donate it to the city n the city does some thing wonderful with it the public can enjoy.

Sad day for this theater, its closing! Such a huge turn out. Enjoyed going to the Allen Park Digital Cinema. Hopefully the city will maintain the theater, with a few upgrades it can still serve the community & moviegoers

Cant beat the prices. Cash only with an ATM located in the lobby. Its a straightforward theater with no bells and whistles, but you get the theater movie experience for under $2. The floor in the theater was really sticky, but the rest of the theater seemed clean though worn.

I love the old fashioned look. As soon as we walked up too the the ticket booth my 17year old daughter said, “ WOW “. I feel like I just step back that’s in the past. And the price is that too bad either $1.50.

Customer service is usually pretty good here. Seats suck though cause they are old and some broken possibly. Pricing is great for the concessions and the actual box office.

Very cool theatre. I love the fact its a dollar show still around. The workers are so friendly. No one has ever had problem here before.

Unfortunately, the movie we went to see wouldnt run. They gave me our $3 for the show back but not the $18 I spent on snacks. :/

Love this place. Quiet and cozy. The seats are not the most comfortable and the a/c is sometimes too humid. But movie tickets for just $1-1.50!!! Cant beat that anymore.

My experience at this particular theater was nice to people work for like everything worked out okay and it was real good to go there

One star for they really have dollars movies in 2019. I was happy they seats and aisle were clean and smelled clean, thats two stars. Three stars: the popcorn and candy were overpriced as usual. However, they offer a combo popcorn and drink with one free refill each. That could justify the $9. Four stars: I noticed a sign that stated no covering your face, like costumes, masks of any sort: however, the ticketed person did not give me hard time, wearing my Islamic facial covering and the door greeter belled me good tidings. But I appreciate the movie experience.

It does not get a 5 star because the floors can be a little sticky and bathrooms were nasty. But other than that it was a good movie theater.

I always enjoy going to this the show they are priced Right, popcorn is always fresh there seem to always dumping a pot of popcorn when I get to the counter & drink are cold & freshly poured with 1 refill on both theyre still upgrading the show while keeping the price is low.

Great little theater. Especially for the price. Just need to finish getting the better seats. For the most part clean. You get a little more than you pay for. The whole$1.50. makes movies for the family affordable.

Cool little vintage theater and only a dollar fifty for a ticket. Seats were quite comfy. One thing I noticed that I really liked was that the sound was not painfully loud like it is in some of the larger theaters also the lighting was good when I went to find my seat. Sometimes I can hardly see its so dark. The lighting was perfect and I found a seat easily

Every time my family and I go... We have an wonderful time!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is A 1! And you cant beat the prices. Matinee is $1.00 til 4pm. Then after it cost $1.50 per person. Have fun!!

It has some of the newest movies playing and for an amazing price. If a movie isnt so great, guess what you only paid a buck to see it. No biggie

APDC, I gave this place 1 star and rightfully so - however, I am sad to see this place closed down. A ton of childhood and teenage memories for me and my friends - thanks for the memories. If you dont know, tomorrows the last day

The Allen Park Theater is a great little theater in center of Allen Park one of the few theaters that ranges from a dollar to a dollar fifty to get in. As with most dollar theaters in the past you have to wait a little bit for the movies to arrive there, they usually have several movies to choose from but they usually come there shortly after leaving the first run theaters , however, the movie is new to you if you havent seen it LOL. Its kid friendly they sell popcorn and the usual snacks but you have to pay cash Im not sure if they take card now but the last time that I had gone to the movies it was cash only. Not bad for a date night on a budget it is close to various restaurants and small shops.

Its a fun, inexpensive way to enjoy good movies. They only take cash even in their snack counter.

Sometimes Im not able to go to the movies right away but sometimes I dont get there till a couple months later and defends that I had missed I can always catch him at the MJR Allen Park Cinema as always. At a low price very convenient on the pocket

Older but nice thearter, wonderful price!! They only accept cash. Free refills on popcorn and drink including kids size. Sometimes they may not have a lot of staff working so concession may be backed up a little.

Just when I thought dollar movies were gone ! Allen Park Digital Cinemas may be the last truly one dollar movie house in the area. The value was excellent, the popcorn and refereshments were as well. It was only about a 20 minute drive for me and parking was close and convenient. In fact the savings was so good we saw two movies in the same day when we usually only see one. For an inexpensive date this is a perfect choice.

Theater is getting long in the tooth. Needs new seats. Most are worn out and saggy.Picture is good, sound is good.What do you want for $1.50?

Very Filthy, theater floors are so sticky you can come right out of your shoes, seats are dirty, popcorn all under the seats along with candy etc.their not positioned correctly only thing good is the price, scared to eat from the concession stand ,ts no telling how dirty that is

Perfect to hang out with friends and enjoy some movies. Its way more affordable than different theaters. Not so many options but decent movies can be played sometimes here.Employees here work hard to keep it clean and quick and the environment is very friendly.

If you dont need to see the movie the moment it comes out this is a fantastic place. Tickets are only a dollar and a half the popcorn is great and comes with free refills what more could you want

Went to go see John Wick 3 it was good I enjoy the theater cuz its right up my alley with the cheap prices

The seats are a little uncomfortable, BUT! Its a dollar show and its deffently a great place to take the kids, grand kids, or just a nice little inexpensive date before or after a dinner.

Was a great price when I was short on $ & the people are always nice&friendly &its always clean..& The popcorn is always great Not overly salty like alotta theatres.

Customer service can be a hit or miss, pricing is great, seats suck though and after watching a movie you feel as if you need a massage. Theaters are semi clean and bathrooms are okay, but could be way better.

We were at the street fair. However this theater apparently is well known for their low admittance price.

The movie theater is cheap and the people that work there are very nice.

Movie was $1.50 each and we shared a medium popcorn at $4.50. Concessions very reasonable compared to all other venus in area. Saw Aquaman, loved it. Seats not the cushy modern ones but we enjoyed it. Lots of restaurants and pubs close by.

The theater and staff are fine. My review is based upon the guests in the theater. I find that since the ticket is only $1.50, there are a lot of young teens and children in the theater that are there just to hang out. The movie experience is not as enjoyable due to the young teens is not as considerate to other patrons during the movie.

Movies are 1.00 and it sets a tone for family and friends to enjoy a movie they can afford to pay

That place is cool. The movie screen is smaller and it is not as up to date as other places, but it totally makes up for it with the cost of tickets. You save so much on ticket prices that your party can go out to an inexpensive dinner afterwords and spend the same amount of money as just tickets at, say, an AMC.

I think that Allen park theater needs to upgrade there seats...and they would be great..they are in a Beautiful location in Allen Park...the parking is ok..if the owner could get some investors to help him update the seats..and have dollar movies on certain days or in one theater and have New Releases on other days.It has the potential to make some serious money.To keep it up, running and everyone happy...Its a lot of ideals, i could come up with, for the theater to make more money.They just really need to update those seats.

I was brought here as a kid, came here growing up and bring my kids here now as an adult. I love the awesome deal for new movies which allows me to splurge on snacks and drinks.

This was my first visit. I liked that they were playing fist run movies only weeks after those movies finished their run in big name theatres. I crossed the border from Canada to go there. I wish I had known in advance its a cash-only movie house. Just lucky I had some US cash with me!The patrons were boisterous - clapping to the jingle before the show - and that made me giggle. Im removing 1-star because staff didnt appear to enforce age restrictions. I was dismayed to see small children - clearly under age 10 - sitting through a gory R-rated movie (John Wick 3).

Love going to the movies but I tried to take my son in with us once and we were told they dont allow babies but today there were 3 babies in the movies and small children running around up and down the isles through the whole movie so it just doesnt seem fair.

In the age of Vudu, Hulu and Netflix, its nice to have a place to go watch a movie that doesnt cost the price of a good dinner out!! Were always satisfied with our experience here ~

I took my 4 year old here tonight and we had a great time. This is a CASH ONLY establishment, but they do have an atm in the lobby if needed. Its kind of hard for small kids to see, so youll need to sit a bit closer to the screen if you have them with you. We sat on an end so my son could see. The seats are old, but plush and comfortable. It was very clean for being an older theater that is cheap. We were very pleased with the screen and quality of the audio. Well definitely be going back for more mom/son date nights.

Comfortable seats and cheap tickets, who could ask for more? Dont expect stadium seating, IMAX, or fancy bits, but if you just want a straightforward movie experience, its a solid night out.

This place is awesome. I wish the city would give them a grant to make the theatre top notch. Its an iconic part of downtown allen park and anything else there would lower the quality of business in the area. TBH

Not to happy with front box office ladys lack of professional behavior. While on the phone FAILED to acknowledge our presence and take our ticket order as it was cold and very windy. Movie was good popcorn was great as well!

Went to see Aquaman and the theatre was nice. The seats unfortunately are older and lean forward making you slide down a bit. The popcorn was good and staff was friendly. The only downside was a local vagrant comes in on occasion and the smell is very strong.

I can see the movies missed at an excellent admission price.

You cant beat the price of $1.50 per ticket for a night out at the movies! Always a good time. The biggest downside is that the seats are super old school and uncomfortable. But hey, its more fun at MJR.

$1 or $2 admission to an Old movie theater, just like the ones you see in old-time movies. They show movies that have previously aired in other Cinemas that are a few months old. Freindly staff. If you want to know what going to tje movie theatre use to be like or just feeling a little nostalgic. You will certainly appreciate days gone bye.
