Love this place for craft ideas and decorations for the house and events.Please know that youre not kidding anyone when its early September and all fall decor is 40% off.At that point, youre just marking items up so you can discount them.Ill still buy your stuff even if I dont respect you. LOL

Beautiful place to buy crafts low prices

They had one I was shopping for. The cashier was friendly and helpful. The shopping trend now is no one is working the floor to assist or answer questions. I wanted to know the price of acrylic paint. I asked an associate to scan it for me. He wasnt that friendly. I think he was a manager..but anyway I got what I wanted.

This Michaela has alot of merchandise..Lots of Christmas ....Very clean and organized...Did not stand in line long.

Today I had the best customer experience I have ever had at a Michaels store. Sid helped my girlfriend and I find the supplies we needed, helped us check out and even call another store to get information for us. I will be going to the Dearborn Michaels from now on.

The store was very tidy, everything in its place and the cashier who checked me out was super pleasant.

I was looking for lanyards and they were out saying they were restocking. Michaels is a teacher hot spot and most shelves were empty.They still have quite a bit of Halloween decorations at 40% off.

Poor customer service. I dont know how people put they have good helpful cashier. I went to pick up an online order, went to curbside and called. The person who answered the phone asked me to come inside for get helped. Then I went inside and pressed the help button, waited. nobody showed up for more than 15 mins, cashiers saw me standing there for help. Once they did checkout other customers they moved away. After 20 mins standing at help tower, I went to cashier and asked whether that help button works. She replied it should while carrying her minor work. Didnt bother to ask do I need help. And then I told her I came to online pickup. And took another good 5 minutes to find it, and with other cashiers help. They didnt bother to say sorry for the long wait. And this is not the first time. This is the 3rd time. Last time they not only didnt appear to help. I couldnt wait and waste my time so I left and came another day and called to pick my order up. I would not recommend, specially if your skin color is not white. I wish not to come this place ever. !!!

I love this location. Kinda busy, heavily trafficked but always neat and stocked and the employees are always ready to help.

When I Google UPS drop spot close to me this is the 1st location that comes up. However Michaels and UPS need to work together. Michael scanned in my package that night but it took UPS 8 days before they picked it up. This sucks

I was on hold for FIFTY minutes waiting to get help to see if they had an item in stock. I called off a different number and said hey making sure you didn’t forget about me and was told oh we just closed you’ll have to call back tomorrow. Upon which she hung up the phone immediately then picked up the line on which I was on hold for fifty minutes and hung up. Absolutely HORRIBLE service!! Clearly poorly managed with workers that don’t care.

This is the third time I have placed an order for same day delivery for yarn. Michaels needs to do a little better with updating their stock information online before you make a purchase and end up spending 20$ on one $3.25 skein of yarn when you ordered more than one and find out after you have placed the order that it is not available. I do not want to spend 20$ on one yarn skein for same day delivery and find out 10 minutes before It is delivered that I would not be getting my whole order because the yarn isnt available. I would have cancelled if that was the case or picked a different color/brand. Unacceptable. The only yarn I am getting is $2.75 and you charged me $14.99 for same day delivery plus the $2, and let me know that I wont be getting the other yarn I placed for order only after it was picked up to be dropped off. I would have cancelled the $17 order for ONE Skein if I had known that in advance.

This Michaels is useless. I’ve been here twice in one week trying to pick up picture frames I’ve already paid for by curb side pickup and tell me why the number they have us call not only doesn’t work? Why am I calling a number 6 times only for no one to answer for curbside. The incompetence that this store possesses is insane. I will be making sure to never use michaels again after this experience.

During my most recent visit to Michaels (Allen Park,MI-- Fairlane Green location) I experienced the worst customer service since I began shopping there years ago. The representative Terry that I encountered displayed poor communication skills while over the phone (explaining the COVID pick-up protocols) and also displayed an unwelcoming persona upon arrival in person.I understand that times are tough during the virus outbreak but if you dont like people you shouldnt be servicing the public. I had purchased a 48 pack acrylic set($75+) and never got confirmation of my order AT ALL via email or anything, so I had called to confirm the status a few times (I was waiting outside for over an hour) but was hung up on by a worker named Terry. Terry proceeded to ask me can I pick up my same day pick up order the following day.. which defeats the point of the same day pick up??? she also had a fellow colleague come to the car and handle our order in the most rushed and rude manner..I honestly believe they dont like working with People Of Color because i saw them handle other people just fine.They both told me that I had only purchased one item and it wasnt that big of an issue.... Its definitely a big issue when I had already placed the order that equaled up to over 10+ items.. After all the hassle and fuss I received my paint set but I will never return again because of the treatment that I received.

Its October and they had MAYBE 20 items for Halloween and a whole 4 isles dedicated to Christmas already. How is it that smaller stores carry more options? If youre looking buy seasonal decor, other than Christmas, I suggest NOT going to this location.

It seems like the virus has attacked the craft store!! The shelves need to be stocked. I found a substitute to what I needed. It wasnt what I saw online for this store nor did I see a space for it. But it will do. This location dont honor competitor prices. Which is fine as long as they have weekly coupons!

There are some things that cant be bought online. Arts and Crafts is one of those categories. I must experience (mask wearing) the colors and brushes in person.

I placed an order at 11am Thursday morning to make sure I could pick up same day. By 2pm I started to get worried because I never received an email stating that my order was ready. I called the store ar 3:30pm to try and get an update. After 6 attempts of calls I kept getting hung up on. Finally by the 7th phone call I finally got someone to talk to. When she answered the phone she was completely rude telling me that if I didnt receive and email for pick up she couldnt tell me much. I explained to her that I had placed the order at 11am and her response was Ive have 50 phone calls today and 15 cars outside I cant really tell you anything. I told her that I wanted to speak to a manager and her reply was i am the manager. I told her she was very rude and he response was im busy. I told her I needed to have a estimated time for the pick up because the order i had placed was for a funeral on Saturday and was having a friend help me with the project. Her response was when you get the email then you know when its ready and hung up. I was completely upset because of her rudeness and lack of professionalism. I decided to place the same exact order but at a different michaels at 2:45pm and received an email stating my order was ready for pick up by 3:25pm. I had a poster board that was a 2 pack and 2 sheets of glitter card stock paper. Im so disappointed in this Michaels I will never give them my service again! Also it is 5:27 Friday morning and still have not gotten a email for pick up

They hardly ever have what Im looking for and the associates ask if I found what Im looking for, but I have to say no then they dont know what to say. They wont help me find it or even get anyone else to help me. So Im standing there with egg on my face, thinking about where Ill go next to find it. I leave disgusted and dissatisfied and I wonder why I even went there in the first place. Its the same every time, every season, every location. Except the Taylor location employees are too caught up in their own lives ( and very loud ) that the customers are invisible.

We were told they no longer accept competitors coupons per Corporates instructions, yet their companys website states they still do. If they are instituting a new policy, they should make it official on their site before enforcing it to customers. Its confusing and feels underhanded.

We were able to find everything we were looking for. Cashier could have been a little more friendly and less worried about her cell phone. She also tossed things in the bad carelessly. The store is clean and well organized. No one asked us if we needed help finding anything though it even acknowledged us if we were in the same aisle they were stocking.

This location is very well laid-out and has big, clearly visible signs, and everything is right where youd think it would be... all of which make finding your goodies a lot easier and faster inside the magical world of Michaels! Haha.The staff here is also fantastic. Everyone Ive ever asked for help has been very knowledgeable of where every little thing is, and they do actually know about & understand the products. For example, when I went in a couple days ago, I was looking for watercolor supplies - Id never done it and wanted to give it a try. So I went down the aisle with the watercolor stuff, and was comparing palettes and brushes and prices... well, one of the woman walked past at the end if the aisle, but then backed up and walked toward me, as I was holding up two brushes and wondering what the difference was. She asked if I needed any help with anything and I said Yes please! So she spent a good 20 minutes answering my questions and showing/explaining to me the differences between brushes and brands, and even told me not to waste my money on the expensive, well-known brand of assorted items, because theyre not any better than the ones half the price!There are also always staff members walking the floor - no never have to look for more than a minute or two to find someone to help you. I love that!Anyway, this location definitely gets 5 stars from me! (And Im picky about this kind of stuff!)

Love Micheals, but the mark up is out of hand especially for a retailer of this size. Privately owned local businesses generally have the same items around 40 percent cheaper. This is why they do the 50 percent off one item deal daily their banking on the extra 40 percent on the accompanying items and still making margin on the discounted one.

Frame shop lady is awesome

I always hate when I need to go here for something. Everything is way overpriced and even with their coupons it is usually still cheaper to buy on Amazon. Store layout is poor and it takes forever to checkout even with a short line. The selection is not great either. No fabrics or leather tools. Pass unless it is your last option in a pinch.

I go back and forth on whether I prefer Michaels or JoAnn for a craft store. Both are great and have lots of overlap but Michaels tends to have the slightly higher end (both in quality and cost) items available.
