We visited Alis Angeles over the weekend. I knew I wanted to hike somewhere. When I heard about Runyon from a local it was an easy decision where we will hike.We Uber over and after experiencing first hand the CA traffic, we arrived and started walking our way down. There are three basic trail. The main one, on paved path, east or west. You can decide if you walk one way or a loop if you park your car on one end.

This is a great park to bring the kids or pets. The large play area is shaded and filled with sand. There is a walking path with a nice view, a basketball court, a couple tennis courts, grassy sports fields, coal BBQ grills, bathrooms, picnic tables and benches. They even have some workout equipment! Parking is limited during popular hours but there is also street parking available. I recommend this park to locals wanting to go on an easy walk.

This is a pretty big park and you kind have to walk around to find the spot with the bench overlooking the skyline of CA. There was a lot of people trying to take a picture at this spot but if youre looking to add more photography shots, this is a place you should check out. Parking wasnt too bad and no need to pay for parking.

This is a great park. Tons of soccer. Two nice tennis courts. A basketball court. A reservable picnic table with grill great for birthday parties and two other picnic areas first come first serve. A small exercise run with five stations. Brand new sand, slide, swing, teeter totter play area. A lot of open space under (I think no longer active San Onofre) power transmission lines. As usual with all Aliso parks, parking lot is way to small and overflow is on to 35 MPH East Wing where people fly by at 50 and barely any room. Hang onto you kids with white knuckkes! When soccer games are on these fields and upper Wingspan across East Wing (which has zero parking) people seem to speed up as there is less room and more kids. Drivers with zero respect for pedestrians and clueless architects are a bad recipe.

The group area is set away from the playground which is either a positive or a negative depending on your point of view. You can not watch your children on the playground while sitting at the picnic tables in the group area. However, you do have privacy away from the playground. A small grassy knoll separates the two areas. Large shade awnings cover much of the group picnic areas and playground, definitely a plus in the So. Call sun. Park has cement trails for roller skating, scooters, a bball courts, grassy fields for frisbee and football in addition to the playground.
