It was a cloudy, slightly chilly day at the park today yet, as always when one gathers with friends, a wonderful time was had by all! The park offers trails, fishing, and many places to rest comfortably. Of particular interest to larger gatherings is the large pavilion, adjacent to ample park-ing. Turn off the idiot box, go outdoors and have fun! (Say hello to ”Mother Nature while youre there! )

Great walking trails!I grew up here and the park was always a perfect place to go. Creeks to play in, play grounds, picnic shelters and loads of parking. A perfect place for a picnic with your family.Huge bonus! They built a great dog park across the street! A little muddy in the winter but what isnt in PA

Wish there was longer trails. In Michigan we have a huge trail. It would take you 3 hours to get through all the trails in the woods. The dog park is okay except there is never any dogs. Hope others will start visiting the dog park.

This place is stunning. Surrounded by trees and trails and even has a pond with ducks and geese. The playground has shade, and it even has a nice sized sandbox that seems pretty well kept. Theres also multiple pavilions and a cute little gazebo on the other side of the pond. Cant wait to see what its like in the fall.

Review №25

Its a nice enough park.My biggest complaint is that despite no smoking signs, adults still smoke right next to the playground equipment. Not really the parks fault, but it is disappointing that the people who use the park are inconsiderate.Secondly, is that the toddler equipment is tiny. Like personal home use sized. And its right next to the full sized set so an adventurous toddler wants to go do that instead. But literally none of the steps or ladders are sized such that a toddler can manage to get on without a lift up--but none of the tubes, slides, etc. are too advanced to really warrant the deterrent. Due to this issue we dont frequent often despite it being one of the closest parks to our home.

Just had a family reunions there today and it was beautiful like it was 35 years ago took me back that far. The only thing I see them needing to improve in is stalking more and bigger prey fish like catfish Bass and even walleye, I appreciate the fact that they do trout fishing but trout fishing should be left for streams and or creeks. Other than that the park is like I said just like I remembered it when I was 5 years old.

Great playground here. Was nice there was a police officer parked near entrance since it was getting toward evening time. Bathrooms were typical park bathrooms BUT they had tp, soap and paper towels which is often missing at public park bathrooms. The kids loved the variety on the playground and was nice there was multiple play areas for different size kids. Did not explore beyond playground.

Its a nice, quiet park. The deck and duck feeding spot near the lake was a nice touch. I also appreciated that there were several trails, though I did not go on any. Pavilions were clean and in good condition. Bathrooms were basic but sufficient and way better than any porta potty.

Lovely park with a play structure, swings, and a sand box! There are multiple pavilions that you can reserve for events. At certain times of the year they have a free fishing event for kids.Plenty of ducks and geese wandering the grounds. Also great trails to hike through. The only bad part is getting there! Its a very narrow and windy road and at times its hard to see around trees for cars coming the other way.

Went to this park for the Labor Day Car Cruise. Park is very clean and theres a nice playground for kids. Saw 2 pavilions to sit at when you need to get out of the heat....and it was 92 degrees. Concession stand offered burgers, hot dogs, fries and cheese nachos. Fries were very good. My husband said the Burger was not that tasty. They sold a few choices in canned drinks:Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mt.Dew plus coffee. Iced tea should have been sold. Im guessing they had a smaller menu because it was the end of the season.
