Visited the last week of November 2020. We stayed in the C Loop non water spot. Really some of these spots should just be taken out, there is no level ground when stepping out of our camper. You just have to assume a tuck and roll as you hit the last step going out. No maintenance done on these sites either, looks like all the effort is given to the water front and premium sites.I honestly felt bad for anyone who purchased a water front spot. The lake was so low this week, it was a good 30 feet away from normal. More like mud front sites than lake front.Staff was super nice and helped us get a fire ring, since our site didnt have one.If the lake was up and the interior spots were given some more TLC, I think this would be a nice place to visit again.

Wonderful view, and great place to take the kids! We have a 3 and 4 year old and they loved the playgrounds. We were there during Halloween, so we got to enjoy all the trick or treating! I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a place to get away and just enjoy the outdoors.

My family and I lived it here!! There cabins are nice the only issue is they need to build more because the few they have are always booked! So much to do here and a swimming beach area a power boat and kayak rentals!! Caught some nice bass here as well

We have spent MANY AMAZING weekends at Windcreek!! By far, our favorite campground!! We have stayed in everything from our tent to our travel trailers and no matter what we are sleeping in, it’s always relaxing and a great getaway! I highly recommend coming here. Especially if you have a boat!!

E32 was a great tent camping spot on water. We put tent near water. Theres a steepish climb back to car if there is someone unable to exert, otherwise a great spot. It is not far from marina. There are stairs and bridge across to marina/camp store. Its pretty hidden...look for a black railing along side of road. Also can be very noisy at 5:30 am if there is a fishing tournament, when they take off in morn. A huge trash compactor is at other end of campground so be prepared that there are no trash cans anywhere near the E section, or any section. We went mid November and it was not overly crowded. Cant wait to come back. Friends were in cabin 1. Cabin was super clean and nice. 2 small bedrooms with a set of bunk beds in each. Dog friendly park.

My family often camps with friends, and this is a regular place we go. (Caveat: we tent/camper camp, I cant speak about the cabins) Its lovely, and theres tons to do. Its on Lake Martin, theres a beach, at least two playgrounds, zip lines, putt putt, and now they have trail rides! I might be leaving stuff out, too. Every worker Ive had contact with has been very nice. The bathrooms are kept up well.

It was a very relaxing trip. Very friendly family atmosphere. Very pretty scenery. Would highly recommend.

This was the absolute best place to celebrate memorial day weekend. Nothing crazy happened, I got to Zipline! The photo opportunities are more than abundant.

We have really enjoyed the premiere sites at Wind Creek the views are beautiful. Access to the lake is excellent. The sites are spacious and allow for privacy or interaction with fellow campers as desired. Negatives are poor internet access and slow repair response. The bathhouse in the premiere area was still out of action after a previous storm some months ago. When a storm came through during our visit we would have to shelter in a bath house some distance away accessed by car. We are both disabled!! Come on Wind Creek with all the revenue coming in there is no excuse!!

This campground is beautiful, with all the surrounding water and all the amenities.Very clean and family friendly.We love coming here every year from Michigan!

We love it here. We come every year. Lots of friendly people, kids can play, has a great play ground. I love the bathhouse/bathrooms. Love going riding in the water. It’s beautiful here.

Beautiful clean and well maintained. We stayed in a tent. Bathrooms clean, laundry facilities within walking distance. We had to leave early due to storms and they refunded the two remaining days. ️️

Great, great campground. There are boundless opportunities for swimming, hiking, horseback riding, zip lines, or just walking around the grounds. Playgrounds for the kids. Ice cream. Boat launches. And very clean. Great, great spot to vacation.

The best state park in Alabama! Great campground, archery range, zip line, marina and campground store!

Staff is friendly! Great campers everywhere. Officers give lots of warnings, great at educating the public on rules of parks. My only complaint is I never catch any fish

I was very nice. Plenty of room between spaces. Will go back for sure.

We have all four had a blast. We will be coming back a lot with the girls. They have added so much since I was little. We have done a few activities here but will be back to do more. Zip line is $65.00 a person and it takes about hour and a half to 2 hours to complete. They like to have a total of 6 to zip line in a group but it can be as few as 2 in your group.

We love to go to Wind Creek. We take our camper and rent a lot. We have the lake right outside or door there is a grill to cook out parks for the kids and you can swim fish kayak Lots of fun

Lot B56 was terrible; hard to get in due to the road being so narrow. Grass wasnt cut. Someone had built a fire about 15 ft from the firebox with broken glass on the ground that had not been cleaned up. Lot also on a hill so you step out of the front door onto a slope. Store had very limited supplies. If we ever go back we will definitely get one if the premium sites so we will have room to enjoy.

Had an amazing time. Great camping spots with great views of the lake. Restroom/shower facilities were very clean.

Lake Martin is the star here! Rent a boat from the parks marina and spend the day on the water. There are also hiking trails, a zipline course, miniature golf and a beach. Book early for a lakeside spot. The campgrounds can become very crowded, but our neighbors respected quiet time hours.

Wonderful family state park. Lots of activities for children and just well maintained.

Nice place to stay, never had any problems they could not fix.

This park has so many things to do. Some sites have water, electric, and sewer. The premium sites have new concrete slabs for more level parking and seem bigger than the others. Although there is no wifi, our cellular signal provided a strong enough signal everywhere we ventured throughout the park. Lake Martin is beautiful.

Park was clean and everyone was friendly. The only complaint I would have to make is that the kids would ride their bikes through your camp area. But that is not the parks fault. Kids will be kids.

This is a super nice state park. My fisherman husband loves it here. Lots to do. Clean bath houses. Good for families. Hiking. Horse camping/ trail riding. Archery range. Multiple playgrounds. Putt putt golf. Swim beach. Boating. Fishing. Kayaking. Lots of great campsites to choose from.

Very nice park with lots of amenities. They do, however, need to upgrade the laundry mat; there is only one dryer working and the washers are out of date. We tent camp here each year and love it.

Had a great time. It was real relaxing. Only down side was fish were not buying , saw hundreds at pier !!!

Its super crowded and they said our 36ft camper would fit in any of their spots it fit but we couldnt unhook it due to the fact we had nowhere to park the truck. The only reason this place got two stars is the people next to us ,she was drunk and was dancing with the camper lights and had a time getting out of them lol. You cant scout out your camping spot before hand. The whole place is ridiculous, I had rather stayed over by the horse trailers where it was peaceful. Everything was downhill for us, couldnt put the riggers down. They said we had a lake view spot but in fact it was a gully.

Nice RV park. Had a shaded site that was great. All kinds of activities for people.

Don’t go hiking there. Trails were blocked by trees everywhere. No clear sign and lots of bugs.

We had a great time! Fishing, beach area, nice scenery to walk around, facilities were not to bad. We will go back for sure.

The park renovations have made this place even more family friendly and besides beautiful views and many activities to enjoy, the most important asset here is the friendly staff and volunteers who make this place feel like home sweet home.

Love beautiful Lake Martin. Campsites are very close. No privacy whatsoever.Beach at campground was nice and maintained.

Wheel Of Wind Creek its a great family place. The kids really enjoy it too.

Beautiful nature, but the cabin rental prices are misleading. Be sure to get A COMPLETE breakdown of all prices before even considering staying here and document everything. Rental staff is beyond incompetent and need to be seriously revaluated. Will not be returning after such a poor experience in spite of the beautiful land because of the staff.

Awesome place, clean,clean,clean. Few spots need help like #43 we were in but didnt ruin our trip.

We were waterfront and had lots of space. It was clean. Very well kept property. Cant wait to go back.

Of the many campgrounds I’ve been to Wind Creek is among the best...~Great scenery, clean bathhouses, very professionally ran.** Only con is that some sites have a hard time accommodating a large RV.. I would verify before booking.

Really nice park. They have so much to do in season. Zip lines, fishing, boat rentals, mini golf and more. Spaces are good size and mostly level. Bath houses are spotless and grounds are well maintained. Rangers are helpful and friendly. All the staff were great.

Don’t rent a boat from them I use a newer boat from them and got charged for a prop that the paint had flaked off I wasn’t very happy with the service from them the boat was a good boat we went to chimney rock on it and it did great but that’s very bad business if you do take pictures when you rent it for prof that you hadn’t messed it up or you will be charged for something you didn’t do

Close sites but great place for kids.

Beautiful state park with much to do if youre bringing children. They have a small beach area for swimming, countless playgrounds, trails you can hike or horseback ride on, an archery area, and even a miniature golf course. The beach area is located in their day use area where they also have many tables and grills for picnics. Our visit was over Labor Day weekend so it was packed out. Not a whole lot of privacy when its packed but still very nice. Their bathroom/shower facilities were kept very nice. They have a small store on site where campers and boaters can purchase a variety of items they may have forgotten or need due to maintenance issues.

Nice state park. The campground is a little busy, but thats to be expected for a campground on beautiful Lake Martin.

We LOVE Wind Creek! Everything about our time here is wonderful every time we camp. The staff patrolling the campground is the best. The improvements over the last few years are amazing. Can’t wait until our next trip there!

My summer home away from home. This park is one of the best in Alabama. The water is nice and clear and the views are amazing.

Enjoyed our weekend, everyone was piled on top of each other. It was overall a great experience, we camped, fished and swam. Little on the pricey side.

Absolutely enjoyed time with my Family, and the children enjoyed as well..... I would recommend for family time, and family outings.

It is a vary good place 2 take your kids n family. My kids love the trails n swimming n paddle boats n getting ice cream by the peir.

Ok place to camp. Staff needs to do better on maintaining ALL of there camping spots not just the ones that are waterfront !

We had a beautiful time there, we went there before summertime and had a beautiful quiet spot to camp out..

We stayed for a week and a half on lot B171 the lot neededto be blowed offleaves and pine straw has it covered.. The grill was broken there was no fire ring and the picnic table was rotten you couldnt even sit on it... Over all I love wind creek and will keep coming but that place makes enough money to keep all things looking good and all other things in use able condition... Please take pride in your parks and keep up with the updates that need to be done.

This place is beautiful. You can camp in a tent, camper, RV, or whatever you have. They have outlets, restrooms, grills, a playground, and a beach area at Lake Martin.

No longer family oriented the park has started to allow people to cruise the park with load profaine music playing as they speed cant let your kids play like kids should if your looking for a fun place for your family and kids go elsewhere nothing but a huge hang out here if your into speeding up and down roads where kids are playing and playing loud profaine music come to windcreek state park they allow it

Wind Creek State Park is always a nice overall camping trip for the Family. My biggest issue there are the quite hours beginning at 10 pm, its just seems early during the summer months.

The facilities were good and well kept. I wish the store cashiers had mentioned that the air pumps were turned off when I was buying multiple floaties from their store. Blowing up that many was impossible. Otherwise, it was a good day!
