This skatepark is poorly maintained, covered in litter, and if you plan on driving there park across the street cause the lot for it will most likely get you a flat tire. This park should be demolished and rebuilt with proper lighting and at the very least somewhere to park your car safely.

Actual area to skate has a lot to do. The parking lot is disgusting. It feels like you need a tetanus shot just to sit in your car and watch your kid skate. It’s sad how neglected it is. The only reason I set foot here is because my child loves skateboarding. I bring a trash bag and just pick up while I wait. Last time we were there, there were empty beer cans strewn about the skate area and broken glass bottles along with two full beers just sitting in the seating area. What a sad sight. It took me over an hour just to pick all the glass. City of Albuquerque, please take better care of the areas where the youth of the city hang out. I realize there are some trashy people who come here, but not of us are and deserve a nicer area for our children.

Im a skateboarder and I absolutely love this skatepark! Great place to skate, hang out with friends, and an excellent location near Cottonwood Mall and lots of public transportation. Only reason I dont give this place 5 stars is there are numerous missing obstacles (rails, flat bar, etc.) which the City took away years ago but never replaced. Also, the parking lot pavement is horrible, always a bumpy ride every time you drive in and out. It unfortunately appears that the City of Albuquerque is neglecting this place! If the city would improve this park, it would easily be the best skatepark in Albuquerque!
