So, the Albuquerque Cabelas is the only one in the nation, that has closed its doors. I got an email last night from them and found some hard-to-find items in stock at the store. Not available to order on-line but in the store. I called them this morning about ordering the items and they sent me to their 1-800 number. The person at the 1-800 number said Albuquerque is the only closed Cabelas in the nation.She told me I needed to call them back, order over the phone and do curbside pickup. So, I called the store back. They said they absolutely will not take orders over the phone. How hard is it it take an order, take a card number and verify the card when I pick it up? Its not, because they have done it for years. I called the 1-800 number back and they ended up making the order for me. That lady was awesome. She is the ONLY reason I will continue to shop here. She confirmed that the Albuquerque Cabelas is managed by a clown. I will NEVER shop at this Cabelas again. There are plenty of places smart enough to work through this fake BS with their customers. From now on, if I want something Ill either order it or have it shipped to store and have the employees be my little fetch dogs.

This place is just amazing. Everything you would want or need for outdoors hunting and fishing. The people there are great ! First time ever, but I will be back to get all my hunting equipment.

Fantastic place to shop if youre looking for hunting/fishing needs. There were a kind man that helped my husband and I with our first time fishing gear needs. He was very knowledgeable about the gear we needed for what specific fish we were going for. If you need help with anything fishing and its your first time, for sure look for Daniel or as I noticed on his name tag I believe he also goes by Moose. Hes a very helpful employee and when my husband and I come back for more fishing gear were for sure going to go to him for help again. 10/10 fantastic service and friendly people all around.

I ordered online and had items shipped to me because this store was out of stock for curbside pick up. Two of the items arrived broken from being transported around, started the return process, but the main office of Cabela’s/ BassPro was only going to refund me approximately 2 bucks because they use the rest for the shipping even though my two items were broken on arrival. I could not get ahold of anyone through the main 1-800 line , nor through the live chat. That is when I decided to drive down to Cabela’s from the East Mountains.Excellent crowd control due to the Governor’s mandate , the man was very pleasant and professional.Vincent Garcia helped me in customer service and he was very professional and personable. He helped me look for the two items to do an exchange instead of a refund , but unfortunately the items were out of stock and online only. Didn’t want to risk another round of broken items so I got a refund, the full refund too.I rave about this store because they are trying their hardest and doing their best to be professional and personable with customers due to being shut down, then opened back up, then shutdown again, then opened, again. So y’all let’s do our best to have patience with this store and the employees because I had a much better experience in the store instead of online.

Great selection of fishing supplies! I bought a Lews fishing reel and rod combo. The staff was extremely helpful in getting the reel strung with no hassle. While walking through the store looking at other items, team members were quick to assist with any questions. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to Cabela’s several times. One of the first was so my kids could have a photo with Santa. That experience was fantastic. I’m not a hook and bullet guy. Doesn’t matter. I’ve always felt comfortable. Shop here!

I pay for a gun and filled the application before they can give me the gun, they told me it only takes three days but three days turn in to over a month, every time I call nobody answer then I have to take a hour drive to see whats going on with my gun when I get there i have to stand in line for half hour before someone comes help, sims like they ignore me and all they do is get your name and they say its still pending they dont even see whats going on with the application or if theres something wrong with it,and they didnt even say nothing about the application expires in a month here one of the workers told me sometimes it takes up to year which was a lie. One thing tho I see people come out with there guns with no problems maybe its just the color of my skin dont know so I just took my money.

Disappointed for the most part I have always had a good experience with the store but in the past month service has been very disappointing. Long story short. I understand COVID has changed a lot of things but costumer service well that should never change. I can’t get anyone to answer the phone.When they do, it’s even harder to get the department they transfer me to answer there phone. I have a hard time with someone not following up. Most of all excuses “sorry I’m doing someone else job or not my department”. Well I work in a hospital if I gave you that kind of service I’m sure you would be very upset. I am a veteran of 12 1/2 years. I have worked in the medical field for 28+yrs. though not all individuals feel that need to help It would be nice if I can get a little help myself. Im giving them a 3 because todays call left a bad taste in my mouth. I have shopped here several times. I have bought a few firearms here and was given great advice on them.. Thats why I gave it a 3. I am knocking 2 stars off because of Deborah. Very poor customer service. We had bought 5 generators for a construction site. I called yesterday to verify that they were in stock before placing online order because we had already bought a specific one and our guys love it. They said they had 8 in stock. We ordered 5. Mid morning got an email that the order was canceled. We have been calling most of the day to get information about the order on why it was canceled. No one answered the phone. Called today at 1PM and finally got ahold of Deborah. I gave her the order number and she said it was still in progress. I let her know the situation on the canceled order and she straight up told me that she cant make the guys who fills the orders get to work. She also advised that you can call and they can say it is in stock but it doesnt mean its in stock. And plus any questions I asked she was just rude and gave me a nothing I can do about it answer. I hope this isnt really how customer service here is supposed to be.

They had a nice selection of merchandise. Weapons were reasonably priced and quality was good. Variety on winter vests was lacking a bit but Im sure it is due to the pandemic. I had a good time looking at all their products. Staff was neutral.

Great no hassle service, and they have an easy system when purchasing firearms . The staff were very professional, direct and to the point. Many smiling faces on the staff here as well. The facility was very clean and negotiable in regards to Covid-19 precautions. I will definitely recommend this Cabelas to many others.Not only for these reasons, but you cannot beat the prices or savings when shopping here.

Beautiful clean store and lots fo stuff on the shelves! I couldnt find shoes that fit my 4EE wide feet for under $120 that day though. I ended up buying shoes online from them but Im only giving them 4 stars because the shoes were mislabled as 4EE/W when they should have been clearly maked as something OTHER than 4EE. They did not fit and I returned them and the return process was really EASY. thanks Folks!

My boyfriend and I like coming hear for the winter boots. He works in a freezer so having the Cabela’s near by helps getting our stuff. There’s always wonderful people helping us with anything.

Have to give them a three out of stock on to much ammo. The other stores were way more in stock. To be honest I dont think I will go back to Cabelas and thats where I have bought most of my guns and fishing tack. It has gone down hill from where it was coming from a reviewer that been in Management most of my life from assistant to co to store manager.

Awesome store. Employees were very helpful and friendly, shelves were full. We purchase a few products, havent seen moon pies in years. Manager said ok to stay in South side of parking lot overnight, pack it in pack it out. Thanks Cabelas, we would shop here again.

Cabelas was amazing as usual. Plenty of stuff to drool over..but alas slim pickings on ammo..seems they have been stripped bear like most other sporting good stores..ciouldnt even find a single box of 30-30 ammo..Bambi might just be safe this year. Great shopping experience though!!!

Their curbside pick up is NOT curbside. U have to get down and wait in a line, even after placing your order on line. Came to get my fishing license. The wait was long, kind of expected on Friday evening.Facility was clean and well lit and I was greeted at the door and asked if I needed help when looking for the bait. Staff up to this point were friendly and helpful.I go to wait for the license. The guy didnt seem to notice that everything I gave him and everything in front of him said New Mexico. The address on the previous licenses on my account, my drivers license... i knew there were problems with my account. Theres always problems with my accounts. Its why Ive learned to be patient.I let him know to take his time. But it wasnt until the license was printed and I saw the charge for it before he realized I was being incorrectly charged for an out of state license. It was too late. The damage was done. Either I pay the $70 for the out of state license, or I dont fish until I can call game and fish the following Monday when they open back up. I opted not to fish but I am sincerely disappointed in this mistake, as this is probably the only time Ill get to try to fish or camp this year. I wont say names, but I hope he learned to check those sorts of things to prevent the mistakes before they happen.

I bought a Vortex Viper spotting scope! Guy who helped me brought me a brand new box and I left to drive an hour and a half home. I get home and its missing the eye lense. The most important part. I call back and they only have the display in stock for this same scope. I drive an hour and a half back and they wouldnt even clean the display and they didnt give me one dime of a discount. I have a cabelas card and have always loved shopping at cabelas but this really turned me off. 6 hours of gas in the truck and a lot of time wasted because they didnt give me all the parts I needed.

I purchased a gun and had it shipped to Cabela. Received a notice that the gun was delivered . Went to store stood in line for about an hour waiting for help. Finally got help and was told that the gun was not there and and someone would call me in a couple days. Week went by and went back to the store and waited and 45 minutes for help. Finally got help and was put on delay. I waited another week and called to get a status update. To find out that they would call me when I was cleared and no one called. So I contacted the place where I brought the gun and asked for a refund for my money.

I bought a pair of duck boots online. The first pair was undersized so I returned them to my local store. The second pair was manufactured with a major flaw and never should have passed Quality Control. I returned them to my local store as well. At least my store took them without question.

This place has my favorite fishing, hinting, camping, and clothing plus the staff is amazing and its always easy to navigate through the store

Though this place is pricey I enjoy the atmosphere and they have a huge selection of stuff. My husband loves it and they do have really tasty nuts made in house! So the place always smells so good.

Im giving rhem five stars because Cabelas is usually totally fabulous and fun, with very good quality merchandise. not cheap by any means, but you can often find some treat on special. However right now they seem to be pretty low on stock on lots of stuff, but Im just assuming thats partly due to stocking issues related to the Cabrona virus, and partly due to the fact that half the world is prepping right now for whatever fresh hell is coming our way next.

Been standing here where the line is supposed to be for about 10 minutes. Made eye contact with several employees in the gunsmith area and no one will talk to me. I just need to ask if they have any glock trigger pins. Even the manager in the blue shirt just walked right past me.

Huge selection of all outdoor items, except for fly fishing. With multiple locations within easy drive of Albuquerque including the fly fishing Mecca of the San Juan, you figure there would be more than one shelf. I was still able to take care of other purchases with ease. This includes an online order where I could pick up at the front counter. Friendly staff, also.

Customer service was really great however I went to go purchase a kayak the young lady that took care of me said the kayak had a small cracked by a cup holder which I thought it wasnt a big deal when I got home the kayak has two cracks about six in each one on each side right where the person 6 the kayak was very damaged scratched used and water in it the foam inside the kayak had already came apart I had to take it back I just felt that it was not safe for my family to you however Cabelas employees were very nice they all had great attitude from big smiles thank you and please keep up the good job

We love going here for all our outdoor needs.Went this year for the first time to the Santa Workshop for our kiddos and they loved it! Great environment, free goodies, and reasonable pricing for pictures with Santa! This is going to be our new family tradition. Going Sunday mornings or during the week in the evenings seems to be a bit better, not as crowded.Highly recommend for families looking for outdoor adventures and/or holiday traditions!

They advertise a price on a storage box at $10.00 but it is a bait and switch. When you check out its $14.99 ? I normally only shop in line. Sportsmans warehouse doesnt do that. The clerk did nothing when I objected. Did offer to adjust the price or say the 10.00 ones were xx.

Staff very friendly, so many top notch items throughout the entire store. From clothes, accessories, outdoor anything, and weapons. Great time spent in Cabelas. Clean, open, and high quality items. Worth the trip even just to browse around, and worth the money. Because you will want to buy alot of things here. =) staff is knowledgeable so ask ask ask even just for conversations sake.

Not a good experance, had to hunt down employees to get service. They would just point me in the direction they thought I had to go. None of the employees that I talked to seemed to not know what they where talking about, or where things were. Everybody was doing there own thing at there stations. Did not take the time to show me what I was looking for.

This is the only place in Albuquerque that had the Magazines for both of my firearms that i had been looking for all over town. Plus great prices on ammo. Plus the staff was very good.

For the super Saturday sale i think this is the only store that kept their lines organized and speeding through. Great stock on everything, employees everywhere to ask if you need anything. Also found really great deals better than amazon.

I live 2hrs from the cabelas in Albuquerque nm I purchased a fire arm was put on hold made me pay up front for gun to hold for me said it take a couple days ita now been a week called they didnt want to help or even check on my background check told me to call back so I did later that evening never answered called next day and couldnt get anyone to answer call in any department which is insane rang over 30times multiple times i called same thing last time I shop at this cabelas just gonna take my receipt and get my money back for the gun I paid for to have them hold for me since background was delayed

Poor knowledge of items and some rude employees. I was sold a gun they told me was a 22 but it turned out to be a hunting rifle instead. Very dangerous to tell someone something is different caliber than it actually is. I wont be buying a gun from here ever again. Im happy with my purchase but mad they had no idea. Also a elder gentleman told me to go back in line after wanting to purchase a firearm cause no one was helping me. I think the line to the firearms section is stupid and un organized.

In true Cabelas style the place has everything including some awesome decor. If guns and animal displays make you ill , then you need to head over to that other place.

540pm 7/14/2020Why Cabellas has 6 representativea at the front of the store standing around gossiping in the customer aervice box when there is only 2 employees in the entire firearms ection helping people. Its common knowledge gun sales have not been this prolific in Cabelas history.
