A beautiful historic place along the historic Camino Real. The museum has changing exhibits so it’s always nice returning to something new. Since it’s also a public open space, you can go almost any time and sit under the cottonwood trees or take a walk along the acequia.

The Fall Festival is always lots of fun. For city folks its a chance to relax outside, eat prune pie and Indian oven bread, and shop for natural products. Nice emphasis on the history of the Camino Real this year.

Finding this place was a really pleasant surprise. I encountered it when attending a Fermentation Fair. Going inside I could see that this building was very well restored. It gives an indication of what this family live it was able to live like quite a long time ago in the Southwest. Not your typical family but a glimpse into how the rich folks lived. Still, very interesting place with some fascinating history.

We had wanted to see it for a while but because of theirony short hours, we kept missing it. We found they were giving a special presentation on a Sunday about pre Spanish history of New Mexico and the people who roamed this land before us (very interesting but too short and too much info crammed into the time) We were then provided a tour of the property that was equally interesting. Glad we finally saw it!

I have been to many historical sights but nothing topped our visit here! The docent who took us through was one of the most informed interesting guides I have ever heard. I do not recall his first name but his grandfather was a Perea. He was wonderful with the children in the group as well. Thank you for sharing your love of our state and its history !

Very lovely grounds and home with small museum with history of the area. I went for the cultural expo, which was fun, with historical reenactments, music, dancing and food trucks. They have a community garden which looks like it is beautiful in the Spring and Summer.

The County has restored and preserved a real jewel with this property. It also ensures a wide audience with a busy schedule of engaging programming. 2018 is the 20th anniversary of the Countys stewardship of whats become known as the Hubbell House. In celebration the schedule has been nearly doubled and is available on the Bernalillo County website. I encourage you all to have a look and find something that interests you. Todays event is a talk about the history of New Mexico cuisine, where those famous chillies and other ingredients came from, and how you can grow them in your own garden. Perhaps pack a lunch and enjoy an extra hour instead of another fast food restaurant. Dont let transportation keep you away, either. I was surprised to find that Hubbell House is conveniently served by regular bus service from downtown. Take bus number 53 from the ATC (bay F) and enjoy a rural experience just minutes from downtown.

Beautiful place to see and more insight on the Hubbell family history. My wife works at the Hubbell Trading post in Ganado AZ, and I volunteer there with her. But I learn more and more from her, as she is a descendant of the Hubbell Family, she takes great joy in her job.Anywho, before I get off topic, I recommend visiting the Gutierrez Hubbell home if you have visited the Hubbell Trading post. I enjoyed my visit and Im sure you will too.
