A phenomenal experience, if you love sweet wine this is the perfect place to go and the scenery is beyond beautiful I am looking forward to going back at sunset. I would give it 10 out of 5 stars every time. Will get better picture of the inside next time but it was crowded and didnt want to get in trouble taking pictures of people I didnt know and posting it on the internet.

You can relax, enjoy the wine and the beautiful views. Watch boats on Lake Tillery, wildlife, hummingbirds & beautiful leaves in the fall all from the balcony.

First time here for hubby, we got a bottle of Sangiovese blend. The staff and owners were super nice and welcoming. Woofy friendly. We sat out on deck and could see Yadkin River/Lake Tillery. Good social distancing. We are mostly beer drinkers, but need to switch it up sometimes. Will come back for sure.

Its a little out of the way gem! Peaceful and relaxing to sit on the deck with a glass of wine overlooking the mountains and the valley.....

The hospitality was great, the wine was great and the view was spectacular. Im not sure why some people did not like the hospitality but the staff was perfectly fine. Unfortunately since they just opened back up, we were not able to do the wine tasting our the tour. Well be back again soon!

Do not waste your time. Tastings must either be sweet or dry. I like both and they make no exceptions. Not spending my money so they can tell me what I can and cannot try.

Choose groupon coupons for tastings, tour, bottle and glasses for 2. Sheena was our guide, she was gr8... wine was ok. We didnt make it in time for tours so exchanged for bottle openers instead. Experience could have been better .. they seemed little under staff for weekends. Location is very scenic and beautiful.

We tried some delightful wines today and even purchased a couple bottles. Lovely views off the back deck overlooking the Vineyard and hillsides.

Winerys should be environmentally responsible, as that is part of their purpose. This one is far from it.Was here for a friends wedding. They DO NOT recycle (threw everything out), used all single use plastic knives, cups, and plates for the wedding. Used plastic straws for the drinks. The bathroom had no toliet paper in it, and the water machine was out of water.Help the environment by not going to this place.

Visited this vineyard, this past Saturday. It was the first stop on our day wine tasting trip - we went to 5 total. By far, Stony Mountain was our favorite one of the whole day. From the time we walked in to the tasting room, the lady at the bar welcomed us and explained the tasting to us. She was so personable and very friendly. All of the wine we tried (which we like the sweet wines the best) were fabulous. We ended up purchasing a bottle and the weather was nice enough that we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and enjoyed our wine. We will definitely return here soon - I highly recommend this one!!

Had a wine tasting with Sheena today- she was so funny and made as all feel at home. After driving an hour to get here, we were all a little anxious.

This vineyard has a very friendly staff and the atmosphere is very beautiful.

My wife and I visited here yesterday. We participated in the Groupon wine tasting and tour I had purchased her for Mothers Day. The tour was very interesting and the guide, Dev (also the founders son), was very personable and made the tour a very pleasant and entertaining experience. The sweet wines were all delicious and my wife and I were able to enjoy ourselves for the entirety of our visit. The customer service was excellent and you can tell that the people (a local family) truly care about their business and their customers.

WONDERFUL experience here!!!! What a hidden little gem close to home. An afternoon here makes you feel like you just had a mini-vacation in Napa Valley. Laura was a DEAR and she made our experience so memorable!! After the tastings, she allowed us to just sit and enjoy our wine with the breathtaking views. She was so accommodating to our every need and she even took pictures for us on our special day! We were there several hours and it felt like home. How there could be negative reviews of this winery is beyond me. Laura wouldnt even let us purchase a bottle to go-- SHE GAVE IT TO US FREE for a gift! I will always have the fondest memories of that day. Thank you sweet Laura for sharing in our day. We waitied a loooong time for that day. Bless you. WE WILL BE BACK!

My daughter got married here on Oct 18. they scheduled a wine tasting the same day. the tasting ended at 5:30 and her wedding started at 6. it was hard to decorate with so many people . the area where we were suppose to get dresses has a window with no curtain or blind and is facing the front porch. the girls working the bar helped themselves to the trail mix bar several times and worst of all the owners daughter got into a confrontation with one of my daughters bridesmaid.What happened to the customer comes first.....Its apparent that doesnt apply here. No one ever even apologized to my daughter for all the things that wasnt right.

Worst wine tasting ever. Woman behind bar gave no info (we read the sign, 8 samples). We left after 4. I specifically asked for wines that were not super sweet and my boyfriend stated that he likes dry wines. She poured both of us a sweet wine. We both stated again that we dont like really sweet. Second sample was sweeter than the first. I then pointed to the semi dry white wines at the top of the tasting card and asked for them. I again got sweet. Someone needs to instruct the employees to pour white before red and dry before sweet. By this time they all tasted horrible and the woman conducting the wine tasting went to the far end of the bar and talked to other customers, totally ignoring us. Dont waste your time here. There are too many other wineries that provide great service. Try Uwharrie!

One of NC best kept secrets in the Uwharries. This family owned vineyard and winery offers some of NCs best fruit wines and other varietals that are palate pleasing. We were greeted and treated to these delicious and delightful wines in their tasting room by Laura. By the way, the view is breathtaking a must visit!

Love the white table wine not so much on the customer service experience so so going to look into a different local winery

Beautiful location, great wine selection and fun staff.

While hanging out near Norwood North Carolina, we decided to purchase three different bottles from the Stony Mtn vineyards. The Riesling, the Viognier and the Cabernet Sauvignon. I have been into wines for over 50 years and Im not an expert but I can tell you that unfortunately the Riesling had no Savor / flavor, and its not even near the great taste of the original German vinos, or near the fruity gusto of a Upstate NY Finger Lakes vino. The same for the other two wines, is it possible that we purchases old bottles from the local store? humm..I wonder.Mr. Randy Alicea

My visit provided me not only with a few bottles, but a very memorable experience, and I will definitely return, bringing other friends along to enjoy.Wine 3/5: Both vinifera and muscadines, including a blend of Merlot and Muscadine (Very Berry) which was unique and very tasty. All grapes grown on property...I think, the muscadines are excellent.Tour 5/5: Show entire (though small) process, they take you through grounds, makes a memorable experience.Owners/workers 4.5/5: Family and tour giver makes you feel right at home. Had one off-putting experience with a worker, who just did not seem to know about wine.Property/Views: 5/5: STUNNING! Back outdoor porch overlooks the Uwharrie Mountain Ranges, Morrow Mountain State Park and Badin Lake. Very large inside seating and grand windows to look out too.Ultimately? 4.375/5Drive-worthy? Yes. Make a day trip out of it and go to nearby Morrow Mountain or Badin Lake for hiking and boating. Pack a picnic, bring friends and enjoy the beautiful views at the winery.

The people who work there are so incredibly rude and condescending! This is the second time I’ve been and I had a horrible experience the first time as well. The wine is mediocre. The only reason I’m giving any stars is because of the view!
