Nice place to sit and/or explore the Flint River. A new kayak launch provides a push off point for paddlers and a place to sit and enjoy the shoals of the fall line to the Coastal Plain. Plenty of other nearby attractions.

This park is amazing, so many things for the kids to play on, an area for smaller children, the giant turtle was a big hit, my grandkids played for several hours and had a great time. It was clean and well-maintained. Excellent place to take your kids

Would definitely give 5 stars except it was undergoing maintenance and we couldnt access it. Looka amazing though and we intend to check it out once it is reopened.

I love taking my grand babies here after church on Sundays. They van run and play and jump with no worries!!!!

Kids where all having fun. Thats what matters the most.

This isnt about the park but the riverfront trail that runs along side of it. Be very very careful on the north end of that trail and I would def recommend NOT bringing your children on the trail. Even though there are signs all over saying no vehicles, apparently there are some that either cant read or cant follow directions or just dont care and use the trailer as their own personal driveway to their fav fishing spot or a dirt bike trail. Shame on the town of Albany for allowing this to happen Most unsafe pedestrian trail ever

While in Georgia I got the great opportunity to come here. The park has an amazing jungle gym area. My children love playing here. This park was huge.

This park has many potentials that could be added to it. I hope in my lifetime the bike trail is extended South to the country line Ask the sheriff if he could create a program to build houses for birds and ducks. This would be great for bird watcher and kids. Also feeders for hummingbirds and seasonal birds. Plant certain plants that would attract butterflies. Furthermore name the animals, insects and plants with a description indigenous. If the plants or trees has medicinal properties teach it, if there are non plant them as well as being dangerous. These are very useful tools for teaching the generations to come.

Its a great place for kids to play but they really need to clean it up. New mulch needs to be applied at the least.

I love to take my grandson to this park. People are friendly and theres plenty of play equipment to keep him entertained. The splash pad is great fun too.

This is a great, FREE place for kids to run, play, exercise, & burn off some energy.

Beautifully set on the Flint Riber, with great aquatic species to see. And the Petoria Fields Brewery is across the street.

Its pretty nice during the day. People are out being active or on picnics. During the nighttime homeless and druggies come out. Just the other day i saw a guy driving on the sidewalk and i followes him down the walking path and saw him and a woman doing...stuff.....but during the day its a nice place to take your family.

Upgrades to Riverfront Park & Ray Charles Plaza are very nice! The natural scenery is very beautiful and relaxing.

Great walking location. People are friendly. Its not crowded, and the walking by the trees and the river is very relaxing. I cant give it a five, because theres usually nothing else there for an adult to do. Kids have a nice playground, and a water sprinkler.

It was so much to do for all kids including babies and toddlers a cool spot to hang out with friends you should also check out Cool Scoops. And everyone is friendly and safe for all kids.

Such a nice place to go!! Lots of walking so be prepared for that. Music playing, adult swings, great playground and a splash pad!! =) Shady areas as well-highly recommend.

We went turtle Grove with my daughter and granddaughters for them to ride there bikes and play in the park .But , started raining and we had to leave.

Turtle Park has some great playground equipment and there were lots of families visiting today. The children playing there seemed to be having a great time and its nice they have a safe place to play. For families looking for an fun free place to visit this would be it.

Albany has really surprised me with this one. This park looks really nice. The turtles are super cute. The swings, slides and play area isnt run down. The scenery is great for taking pictures. The Ray Charles statue is done to perfection. The painted keyboard walk way is a plus. It would be something to have the keys actually play tunes when you step on them. Wishful thinking Im sure. I think Ray Charles left some money to the city. It was put to good use for this park. Not sure where the rest of it went. Either way, its a nice place to go to.

Its an okay park, the rivers nice and theres a big open grassy area. But I really dont like the playground, it would be good except that each play ground including the little kid area is connected to the outside of the fenced in play area. Its like why have a fenced in play area if the kids can get out of it so easily

This park is a fun relaxing place for kids and adults, in the evening time, you can sit back in the swings why Ray Charles plays all his favorite songs.

Really fun for the kids. Just wish there were more safety features to prevent escaping toddlers. The equipment leads right to the exit ramp making it hard for moms to chase runners. Maybe some gates with child locks like they put on pools would be good on the playground and the splash park. But overall really enjoy it!

Very nice park. Great free playground for the kids, Ray Charles plaza is the most beautiful spot in Albany. Nice and safe during the day but just like anywhere in Albany use caution after dark.

Lots of garbage. Need new mulch desperately in the playground. Also, playground needs to be pressure washed...stuff growing on the equipment.

Its an okay area for kids that are around the age of 8-10. My two year old (next month) cant play here with other kids. Not all parents watch their very bad, older, obnoxious a** kids. Not only that but seeing used condoms and hair thats been pulled out of someones head.... Doesnt exactly scream out fun.

Nice Park with a visitor center. Both indoor and outdoor restrooms. It has a covered pavillion and large grassy knoll. Beautiful view of the Flint River down below.

I actually went to the bridge house looking for information about campgrounds in southwest Georgia. I had called to see if there was anything there and when I went to pick it up, the sweetest lady had already gotten a brochure and 2 magazines. After I got there, we talked about other things and she quickly gathered information about each subject we discussed. I had a wonderful experience and will try to do more things here in Albany that I didnt know existed.

Turtle park -just be cautious about when you go. The playground is bright and sunny. The problem is it is easily accessible to the road and you just have to be mindful of your surroundings

This is a nice place to take children to burn off energy as well as enjoy a beautiful view of the flint river. Weve been going for 17 years and have no intention of stopping anytime soon.

Need a swing set, seems like a lot of wasted space but loved the walking track

Great family fun. Its a playground for toddlers 2-5 and then its a playground for 5-12. The water part is closed until summer. Theres a great open field for frisbee football. Access to the river for fishing or just to get an up close view of the river. Also theres an great river walk along side the Flint river.

The scenery is nice and the grounds are well maintained. The river is nice and the walks are well kept.

Ladies at the Welcome Center were very nice and helpful ! Park was clean and the children enjoyed themselves. There were some foul mouth adults with their children who were asked not to cuss so vulgarly but they got mad and got louder. We left.

Very clean and well put together park. Beautiful walk ways by the river and the Louise Armstrong memorial is always a sight to behold. This place is truly Albany has the potential to be if were all willing to put the effort into making it so

It was ok! I went for the fire crackers on 4th of July. It only last 30 minutes but it was good.

Its a nice atmosphere to take your kids only when the gang members are not down to there.I think it should be patrol more than it do,cause I had to leave early cause the bigger kids was smoking and taking over the play area...

Nice to hang out with kids or just to sit by the water but I have had one recent experience where to drunk men followed me to the Ray statue by the hotel and were making obscene remarks. Luckily I am a registered owner and they were deterred.

I think it is dangerous.the river got higher my 3 year old brother tried to jump in plus the dock was flooded over. I suggest u dont take kids to the river it is dangerous ️

Best park in South Georgia. I travel from Valdosta Ga just for this awesome park. My daughters give me a hard time every time its time to leave since they dont want to leave.

Its a place where cops lock you up when you are leaving when they tell you to leave but let everyone else stay out there. So i wouldnt recommend you going unless you wanna get locked up for no reason. Thank you and have a good day.
