A couple pals and I were at Justins minding our own business and, while on his way to the restroom, my companion was physically assaulted by another patron with no provocation! The bartenders response: What do you expect? This is a bar. I used to perceive Justins to be one of the more respectable Lark Street establishments, but now I wont be recommending it to anyone. The waitress was nice.
Its common knowledge around the Lark St. area that this business overcharges and adds extra tips to customers credit cards. Seriously dont even think of using a credit or debit card here.
Food quality was average. If the place is safe why do they have a bouncer? I have witnessed two occasions where one of the two black bouncers handled a situation miserably. Will never go back. Far too many other places to eat that offer a safe place to eat
I used to like the live jazz and good food but the present owner had no regard for what was an Albany musical institution and discontinued jazz entirely.
Late night drinks and snacks - food excellent, service fine. Bartender responsible for music chose rap - a poor fit for an otherwise upscale restaurant / bar, and a choice that made the experience unpleasant.
Sorry to say but I used to go to justins for a great eclectic meal. But this last trip to justins was really bad. Poor food. Place was empty so I think others are noticing the food decline. Honestly I swear the calimari was frozen from the local box store. Very uninspired. Very disappointed.
This is a pretty nice place. Pricy but nice.
