I was so shocked at how much history is in this building. My feelings were hurt by hearing of the struggle of African American people because the struggle still continues. I encourage everyone to visit if possible. You cant take pictures inside but I did take pictures of the church where Dr. Martin Luther king Jr spoke.

Very touching moment to walk in the steps of those brothers an sisters who gave life and limb for the struggle of all people black whites spanish etc. Too have the right to vote the rights for equality. The speakers that attended the Pass the torch march were incredible especially the speaker who spoke in Mt Zion Church prior to the March . Many youngsters showed up to participate. The city of Albany provided police escort for the peaceful march. Songs were song . Very strong sense of unity. Thank God for Dr Martin Luther King and I must mention the great ..... A. PHILIP RANDOLPH also Bayard Rustin whom played a big part in organizing the was march on Washington D. C. 1963

Very informative museum that details the civil rights movement within Albany. Museum has a good mixture of different media types so you wont be bored. You only need 1.5 hours to see everything. Its definitely worth the time.

It was mesmerizing walking through the historic civil rights museum. To watch the short film and walk the halls of the movement was both humbling and inspiring. Then to stand in the historic Mt. Zion church was amazing.

Great tour and well knowledgeable tour guide. I learned a lot about the civil rights movement and some other deplorable practices and oppressive spirits that still plague the city of albany and also the surrounding cities and counties in this area. The Hanging Tree that howled and the Lee Co Girls that were locked up for months without adequate food and water supplies or proper shelter was just repulsive and evil personified.
